Chavez -- Lillie Chavez, 75, joined our Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mariano Chavez in 1981; her parents, Aurelio and Teresa Chavez; her brother, MarLee Chavez; her sister, Teresa Davis; and her granddaughter, Rachel Garcia. Lillie is survived by her six children, Glenda Baca and her husband, Ben, Mary Ann Chavez, Richard Chavez, Regina Torrez, Brenda Sanchez, Jane Murray and her husband, Terry; her eight grandchildren, Yvonne Hardy, Mario Baca, Juan (JT) and Mary Torrez, Sabrina Chavez, Selina and Theresa Sanchez, and Tyler Murray; her 11 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew and Jessica Hardy, Forrest Kay and Belle Garcia, Savanah Torres, Shantel Lopez, Vantrese Chavez, Brandon and Antonio Anaya, and Victoria Baca. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Pula Griego. All services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. with interment following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mario Baca, Juan (JT) and Mary Torrez, Sabrina Chavez, Selina Sanchez, and Rosemary Zamora. Drago -- Vincent Drago, 73, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 21, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Drago of Albuquerque; Sisters, Annalee Nelson, Carmen Jennings, Teresa Barresi, Lena and her husband Anton Wrhel, all of Albuquerque and Barbara Jennings of Edgewood; Sisters-in-law, Joan Drago, Connie Montano, and Dora Baca, all of Albuquerque, Helen Johnson of Redwood City, CA and Joelyn Montano of Los Lunas; Brother-in-law Joe Montano of Albuquerque; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Drago was a member of the DAV. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Finley -- Karen Louise Finley, age 35, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2002. Karen was born to Jo Ann Romero and Michael C. Finley on May 26, 1967. Karen will be remembered and treasured by the many whom she loved and who loved her as a generous, kind, compassionate, funny and caring daughter, sister, niece, aunt, friend and employee. Karen deeply touched the lives of those who knew her and whom she loved. Karen is survived by her mother and father, her stepfather, David Goodnow; stepmother, Helen Finley; beloved sister, Rita Finley and fiancé, Louis Chalamidas; and special friend Nick Dakis. She is also survived by her grandparents, Massey and Julian Romero; and her aunts and uncles, Steven and Sharon Lautenschleger, Mike and Phyllis Zamorski, Marlene Romero, Ernesto and Dana Romero, Mel and Marta Finley; cousins, Julie Lautenschleger, Luke Waruszewski, Josh and Sean Romero, John-Paul Hines; and step brother, Devin Goodnow. Karen was employed by Pete Daskalos Properties. The Daskalosť were a wonderful extended family to Karen. Karen loved to travel, decorate, garden and spoil her sister, her cousin Julie and Miss Holly, her Yorkie. Garcia -- Virginia C. Garcia, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Thursday, June 20, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Perfecto Garcia and wife, Rhonda of Belen, Andy Garcia, Michael Garcia and wife, Maria, Richard Garcia and wife, Priscilla; daughters, Darlene Otero and Marlene Garcia; granddaughters, Malanie Otero, Chantel Garcia, Shirray Garcia, all of Albuquerque and Randi Garcia of Belen; grandsons, Mario Pena, Miguel Garcia, Antonio Garcia all of Houston, TX, Russell Garcia of Belen, Richard Garcia, Jr. and Robert Garcia, both of Albuquerque; great-grandsons, Joseph Aragon and Angelo Aragon; sisters, Salome Lopez and husband, Joe, Bertha Herrera and husband, Felipe and Celina Chavez and husband, Precy; and special friends for over 20 years, Joe Sanchez and family, all of Albuquerque. Mrs. Garcia was a prolific ceramic artist. She was a special friend to everyone and a grandmother ťnanať to everyone in the neighborhood. Mrs. Garcia was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ondes -- Major Clarence Andrew Ondes, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), 80, a resident of Corrales for 33 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Johns Ondes of the family home in Corrales; son, Andrew J. Ondes and wife, Karen of Flint, MI; daughter, Victoria D. Aran and husband, Kanda of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Sean A. Ondes of Corrales, Devaraj Aran, Vani Aran, Tara Aran and Chandi Aran, all of Albuquerque; step-granddaughter, Anna Martin of Flint, MI; and step-grandson, Michael Martin of Rochester, NY; three brothers, Charles J. Ondes of Springfield, IL, Melvin J. Ondes of Livingston, IL and William F. Ondes of Glen Carbon, IL; sister, Joyce J. Ficker of Staunton, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Julia Turzak Ondes. Major Ondes was born in Livingston, IL on December 30, 1921. He served in WWII and the Korean War. Major Ondes was an Aircraft Commander and had piloted the B-17, B-24, B-25, B-29, B- 33 and the B-47 aircraft. At the time of his retirement in 1965, he was assigned to The Minuteman Missile program at Vandenburg AFB in California. He loved flying, and after his retirement he flew his own aircraft, a Moony Ranger, for 19 years. He was active in the Republican Party. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Lemuel Boyles officiating. Interment of cremains will be on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Ortega -- Mr. Ernest Orlando Ortega, 72, a life long resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 19th 2002. Mr. Ortega is survived by his loving children, Elena Garcia and husband, Mike, Ernest Ortega Jr., and his wife, Jesse, Joanne Zamora, Ricky Ortega and his wife, Loretta, Cindy Florez and her husband, Felix, Evelyn Dominguez and her husband, Richard, and Lourdes and her husband, Marty; siblings Mrs. Tere Martinez, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ortega, Mr. and Mrs. Clemente Ortega, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gonzalez; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wonderful and beautiful wife of 53 years, Mrs. Virginia Ortega. Rosary held Monday June 24, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at John XXIII, 4831 Tramway Ridge. Burial mass held Tuesday June 25, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Father Arc, Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Romero -- Cenobia Romero, the Lord embraced Cenhobia June 21 with her loving family beside her. Born in Cuba, NM on February 29, 1916, daughter of Emilio and Margarita Crespin. She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco (Frank); her son Richard; and grandson Vincent Nelson. Cenobia is survived by her children; Lina Bragg Harper of Houston, TX, Sue Romero, Robert and Renee Romero of Roswell, Lorraine Lyon and husband Toby, Phillip Romero and wife Carmen, Rose and husband Dennis Naidus of Houston, TX, Leann Seiler and husband George, Shirley Eck and husband Mark of Dana Point, CA, and Frances Romero from Fontana, CA. Her brother Manuel Crespin; and her sister Dolores Casaus of Cuba, NM; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren also survive her. Cenobia was married to her husband Francisco for 57 and together raised 10 children. Not only was she a meticulous housekeeper but also strived for perfection. Her family was always her priority. Cenobia passed on her values of life to her children. She loved her brothers and sisters very much. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed. The rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4th at Alameda NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be; Richard Romero, Anthony Romero, Roy Bragg, Ross Romero, David Romero, Michael Romero; as honorary bearers, Toby Lyon and George Seiler. Sanchez -- Krystal Ann Sanchez, born May 9, 1985, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away June 21, 2002 after a weeklong battle with injuries sustained in a traffic accident. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Adolfo Sanchez, Sr. Krystal is survived and loved by her daughter, Ariana, 3 months; parents, Mike and Bertha; brother, Christopher; sisters, Melissa and husband, Balone Romero, Angela and Paula; nephews, Juan, A.J. and Christopher; nieces, Kymberly, Tiffany, Desiree and one expected; grandparents, Edwina Sanchez and Max and Dora Noriega; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and a large extended family. Her daughter will be raised and loved by all these people who knew and loved Krystal so. Ariana will know the loving and kind person her mother was. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 24, 2002, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE. A rosary also will be on Monday at 7:00 PM, St.Therese Little Flower Church, Mildred and 4th St. NW and Mass of the Resurrection is Tuesday, June 25, 2002, 10:00 AM at St.Therese Little Flower Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Juan and A.J., uncles, Richard, Anthony and Charlie, and Ariana's father, Lupe. The family of Krystal would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the medical staff of UNMH for their outstanding efforts in trying to give us back our daughter and sister. A reception will take place at Melissa Romero's home after the services on Tuesday. Out of respect for Krystal and her family no liquor will be served or allowed.

Trujillo -- Mr. William G. Trujillo, 64, a resident of Albuquerque passed away June 22, 2002. Mr. Trujillo is the beloved husband of 45 years to Mrs. Katy Trujillo. Mr. Trujillo is also survived by one daughter, Kathy Trujillo; three sons, Abie Trujillo and fiance Beatrice Torres, Michael Trujillo and wife Barbara, Mark Sandoval and fiance Gabby Romero; one sister, Helen Yanni; two brothers, Felix Trujillo, James Trujillo and wife Alda of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren, Michael Jr., Matthew and Savannah; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Trujillo was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church; he loved his garden and he retired from the City of Albuquerque. A visitation will be Monday evening after 6:30pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm by Charlie Gallegos. A final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30am until 9:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00am by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Charlie Gallegos, Joey Montano, Patrick Giron, Jerry Garcia, Adrian Armijo and Sal Garcia.
