Bajart -- John"Jack" Barjart died Saturday, May 18, 2002 of complications from Alzheimers. He was born in New York City on May 28, 1915. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary"Mae" Bajart; son, John C. Bajart and wife, Eunice of Clifton Park, NY; daughter, Jody Bajart-Ware and husband, Scott of Albuquerque; one grandson, Jack Bajart of Boynton Beach, FL; one brother, Charles Bajart and wife, Barbara of Howell Township, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Jack was in the Marine Corps, a great jitterbug dancer with his partner, Mae, a great harmonica player and will be especially remembered for his stories and jokes. He entertained at nursing homes playing his harmonica and telling jokes. A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Funeral Home. Brown -- Gene Lyle Brown Sr., 76, and a resident of Truth or Consequences since 1997, died on May 20, 2002 at Sierra Vista Hospital. Mr. Brown was born on May 18, 1926 in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Clifford R. and Faye (Milk) Brown. He was a retired Diesel Mechanic and a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Eileen L. (Gephart) Brown of the family home in TorC; his sons, Skip Martin of Tamms, IL, Texas Martin of Houston, TX, Frank Martin and wife, Linda of Bosque Farms, NM, Bobby Martin and wife, Mary of Anna, IL, Jim Brown of Virginia, Dell Brown of Rio Rancho, NM, Gene Lyle Brown, Jr. and wife, Gay of Albuquerque, NM; by his daughters, Rosalie Kimberlin and husband, James of Tamms, IL, Karol Stamp of Tucson, AZ, Saddy Eddings and husband, Paul of Ullin, IL, Jo Allen Myers of Tamms, IL, Loris Dailey of Rio Rancho, NM and by 48 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and by a sister, Anita Sarwaltz of Kankakee, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Durward Lynn Martin and Eileen Lorraine Brown. A Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in the Chapel of French Mortuary in TorC and a Prayer Vigil was held at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mass was celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Art Roberts, CSB officiating. Cremation will follow Mass to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 9:30 a.m., Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE (Albuquerque) with Rev. Douglas Mitchell officiating. Croft -- R.P. Croft, 91, of Lilburn, GA formerly of Carlsbad and Albuquerque died Tuesday, May 21, 2002. The Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2002 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Interment will be in East Shadowlawn Cemetery, Lawrenceville, GA. A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Croft was a carpenter and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Survivors include daughters, Gale Ann Jones, Lilburn, GA, Linda Croft Wood, Harker Heights, TX; sister, Betty Croft Jones, Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Dolde -- William H. Dolde, 93, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002. He is survived by his brother, Walter Dolde of Albuquerque; sister, Lydia Upshaw of Globe, AZ; sister-in-law, Marie Dolde of Albuquerque; several nieces and nephews; and many many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lillian; two brothers, Howard F. and T. Robert Dolde; four sisters, Margarete, Frieda and Annie Dolde and Marian Locke. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. William was a 50-year member of Ballut Abyad Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodge No. 6 AF & AM. William and Lillian enjoyed and supported fine arts in Albuquerque. Specifically, they were instrumental in founding the Albuquerque Chamber Soloists. Their love and support of music will live on through their continued support of the Albuquerque Public Schools Fine Arts Program and the Albuquerque Youth Symphony. William and Lillian devoted their lives to helping others and supported many charitable organizations in New Mexico. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 28th, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Patricia Holman officiating. Garley -- Dennis Luben Elias Garley, 84, of Willard, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at his home. He was born May 19, 1918 to Elias and Clarita (Apodoca) Garley in Valencia, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Frances Ortiz Garley whom he married February 25, 1938 in El Paso, Texas; his sons, Arthur and Kathy Garley, Leroy Garley, Michael and Laura Garley, Gerald Garley; his daughters, Pat Toennies, Carmen Garcia and her husband, Jose S, Martha Liszcz, Margaret Garley-Tyler and her husband, Cass and Marina Garley; his brother, Willie Garley; his sisters, Leonela Sanchez and Luz Baca; daughter-in-law Romulda Garley; 27 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Luben was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and he was retired from AT&SF Rail Road, where he worked as a welders helper. He was a member of the VFW and the Willard Seniors Citizens. He was also a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; one sister; and son, Osvaldo"Butch" Garley. Rosaries will be recited Thursday, May 23, 2002, and Friday, May 24, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Willard, New Mexico. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 25, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Willard with Father Florian Reaud Officiating. Pallbearers will be Skyler Priest, Dale Garley, Adrian Garcia, Tomas Garley, Domingo Barela, Leroy Garley Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren; great-grandchildren and Godchildren. Gomez -- Alfred Gomez died in Albuquerque at the age of 83 on May 21, 2002, born July 7, 1918. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Conception Gomez; his sister, Margaret Chavez; and a brother, Billy Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Gomez; daughter, Olivia Romero; granddaughter, Gabriela Romero and fiance, Mark Sandoval; sisters, Emma Padilla of Albuqerque, Alicia Badillo and husband, Rogelio of EL Paso, TX; brothers, Joe (Tito) Gomez, Robert Gomez and wife, Connie of Albuqerque, Freddie Gomez and wife, Vicky of Albuquerque, Eloy Gomez and wife, Evelyn of Pico Rivera, CA, Tony Gomez and wife, Emma of El Paso, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred was retired from the Railroad after 45 years. He served in the Army National Guard WW II. He was a member of San Felipe De Neri Church. The family wishes to express their thanks to Presbyterian/ Kaseman and Hospice for all their help. The family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian/ Kaseman Hospice. Hammock -- Alton G. Hammock, 96, a resident of Albuquerque for 68 years, passed away on May 21, 2002. He was born February 24, 1906, in Quitman, Arkansas, to Atlee Glen Hammock and Mary Sue Womack. The family returned to Blaire, Oklahoma; and Alton lived in Vernon and Happy, Texas, Branson, Colorado, Roy and Raton, New Mexico, and Comanche, Oklahoma. Alton graduated from Comanche High School in Comanche, Oklahoma, in 1924. Alton married Louise Connor in 1929, and a son, Glenn, was born in 1930. Alton remarried, to Maxine C. Wilson in 1936, and they had a daughter, Loraine, in 1943. Alton worked for the U.S. Railway Postal Service for 35 years. He then joined his son, Glenn, at Gordon Herkenhoff & Associates, and performed water-well inspections and performed surveying services statewide until age 77. Alton was preceded in death by his two brothers, Dewey, and an unnamed infant at birth, his wife, Maxine, and his son, Glenn. Alton is survived by his daughter, Loraine of Anchorage, Alaska; three granddaughters, Patricia Littell, Gloria Sands, and Sally Garcia; two great-granddaughters, Vanesa Garcia and Jesica Sands; a great-great granddaughter, Samantha Rogers; and a great-great grandson, Dylan Garcia, all of Albuquerque. Alton was well respected for his intelligence, honesty, and generosity. He was a strong man with a firm handshake. Alton tackled adversities in his life with determination and firm resolve. To him, the adversities were simply a part of life. Alton will be remembered as having a brilliant aptitude and a passion for learning. He will be admired for educating himself in many areas, and he will be appreciated for mentoring others. Alton was happiest when he was outside. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting with close friends and his son, and long walks with his wife. He ran cattle for several years in Lindrith, New Mexico. His daughter and his granddaughters recently appreciated how he held their hands tightly and told them that he loved them. He told one of his granddaughters that he was especially grateful for the care, kindness, and attention that his daughter, Loraine, had given him. Alton had a quick wit, and his family and friends will remember his sparkling marine-blue eyes and wonderful smile. We will miss him. Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary � Westside Chapel 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 Blocks North of Paseo Del Norte) with Pastor Clyde Stanfield, officiating. Renouard -- Jessie Lela (Johnson) Renouard, 96, passed away during the early morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2002. Jessie was born in Davilla, TX on November 15, 1905. She attended the Academy at Baylor Female College in Belton, TX, the University of New Mexico and graduated from the College of Saint Joseph on the Rio Grande. Jessie lived on a ranch and operated Renouard's Country Pastry Shop; but her greatest achievement was teaching which she did over a 50 year span. She taught in Texas before she was 18 at Sagerton, TX, then at Eugene Field Elementary in Albuquerque, 1929, Peñastaja, New Mexico in the late 1930s, Jemez Springs in 1940, A. Montoya in Tijeras Canyon in the late 1950s and she retired from Alvarado Elementary in 1972. Jessie was a member of First Christian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and local garden clubs. Jessie is the last of three sisters; and seven brothers. She also outlived her husband Blair (Happy) Renouard; and a grandson, John Keith Renouard. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Renouard and his wife, Carole; one grandson, James Jordan Renouard; many nieces and nephews; and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with James Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Jessie�s greatest joy was all of the former students that would come by and say they remembered being in her class.

Wiser -- Mildred H. Wiser, age 80, and a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years died unexpectedly Thursday, May 22, 2002. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Paul J. Hisey of Albuquerque, NM; three nephews, David P. Hisey M.D. and wife, Lexa of Fallbrook, CA, Douglas J. Hisey of Las Cruces, NM, Allan J. Hisey and wife, Janet of Albuquerque, NM; two nieces, Joanne L. Achen of Las Cruces, NM, Barbara Bleikamp and husband, Chester of Scottsdale, AZ; eight great-nieces and nephews.
