Bachechi -- Mary O. Bachechi, 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 70 years, died Monday, May 6, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Bachechi and wife, Donna, and Victor J. Bachechi and wife, Sue, both of Albuquerque; daughter, Mary Claire Bachechi of Corrales, NM; daughter-in-law, Susan M. Bachechi of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brenda, Ann, Carla, Kimberly, Molly, Marie, and Charlie Bachechi; step grandchildren, Liz Mustoe and Karrie Henry; great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Jordan Bachechi-Clark; step-great grandchildren, Jennifer Mustoe, Thomas Rials and Amber Rials; brother, John D. Guest and wife, Sophie, of Wickenburg, AZ; sisters, Teresa Sei and husband, Amerigo, Rita Curran and husband, John, both of Albuquerque, Regina Moran and husband, Thomas, of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Bachechi in 1980; son, Charles G. Bachechi in 1981 and brother, Patrick F. Guest in 1941. Mrs. Bachechi was born in Cole, OK. She trained and worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Bachechi was the first flight attendant hired by TWA from west of the Mississippi. She married Carlo Bachechi in 1937 and after starting a family, she became a homemaker and caregiver to many. She raised her family on a ranch located on North Rio Grande Blvd. Mrs. Bachechi's final days were spent at Montebello Retirement Community. Rosary will be recited Thursday, May 9, 2002, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with The Marinates reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 10, 2002, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church, Claremont and Vermont St. NE, with Father Ronald L. Bruckner, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Austin, Daniel Curran, Richard Hoehne, Christopher Guest, Michael guest, and Ed Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be John Curran, Amerigo Sei, Thomas Moran, Arthur Bachechi, Orie Bachechi, John Bachechi, John Baxter, and John Andrew Austin. Cruz -- James Gabriel Cruz, 21, passed away May 6, 2002. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was a beloved son, brother, and father. James will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Davis -- Willie Era Davis passed away quietly in her sleep at the Ladera Nursing Center in Albuquerque on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at 10:15 a.m. A resident of Albuquerque since 1950, Willie Era Davis was born and raised on the family ranch in Goldthwaite Mills County, Texas on January 10, 1907. She graduated from Center PT High School, Center Pt, Texas. Born to Leona Traylor Marler and Samuel A. Marler she was the 9th of ten children, having six sisters and four brothers along with many nieces and nephews. Upon graduating from High School she received a ranch in Magdalena, NM in 1927 where she proceeded along in ranching. Later where she met her future husband of 60 years. Thurman Archie Davis who with son, James M. Davis preceded her in death. She is survived by five children, Wilford Davis of Albuquerque, NM, Trudy and husband, Brad Shelburn of Lafayette, OR, Bob Davis of Wenatachee, WA, Larry Davis of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Thomson of Rocky Pt. NC; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be held May 7, 2002 and May 8, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Graveside Services will be May 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in Sandia Memory Gardens two blocks north of Alameda and San Pedro NE. Gallegos -- Elizabeth Armijo Gallegos (1925-2002) loving wife, sister and special auntie passed away May 6, after a long illness. She was a loving care-giver to many nieces and nephews, and also to their children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrocino and Juanita Armijo; sister, Anne Padilla; and brother, Robert Armijo. She is survived by her husband, Felipe Gallegos; brothers, Luis Armijo, Ernest Armijo and wife, Victoria; sister, Dorothy Armijo and companion, Esequiel Contreras. Elizabeth helped her family whenever they needed her. Babysitting was her specialty. Burial Mass Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial at Mt. Calvary cemetery. Harkins -- Jean Kari Harkins, 68, resident of Albuquerque, NM for 32 years, formerly of Milwaukee, WI passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 39 years, James Kenneth Harkins on November 27, 1989; her father, Leonard Halverson; two daughters, Sandra Jean Harkins and Michelle Marie Harkins. Roseberry -- Tony Allen Roseberry, 44, of Santa Fe, NM and a former resident of Anderson and Indianapolis, IN passed away Monday, May 6, 2002 at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. Tony was born on May 18, 1957 in Anderson, IN a son of Cleodas and Carolyn (Lewis) Roseberry. Tony was a 1975 graduate of Anderson Highland High School and had been employed by Burger King Restaurants since 1975. He was currently the Area Manager of Albuquerque a position he had held for the past six years. he was a member of the Knightstown Church of God and he had designed a web page. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Roseberry. Survivors include his parents, Cleodas and Carolyn"Kay" (Lewis) Roseberry of Anderson, IN; daughter, Chelsea Roseberry, Evergreen, CO; brother, Todd Roseberry, Anderson, IN; sister, Tami and husband, Gary Wilson, Anderson, IN; nieces and nephews, Kindra and husband, Bill Whetsel, Linzi Campbell, Makayla Roseberry, Blake Wilson; great-niece, Olivia Whetsel; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends. Sanchez -- Mr. Jose I. Sanchez, 73, born in Escabosa, N.M. and a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 7, 2002. Mr. Sanchez is the beloved husband of 52 years to Mrs. Henrietta Sanchez. He is also survived by one daughter, Rosann Benavidez and husband, Walter; three sons, Randy Sanchez and wife, Nancy of Wisconsin, Ronnie Sanchez, Rueben Sanchez and wife, Sandy of Colorado; a brother, Luciano Sanchez and wife, Jennie; a sister, Yolanda Erickson and husband, John; six grandchildren, Jamie, Roxanne, Nathan, Daniel, Chelsea and Sabrina; two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Elias; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by a son, Ralph Sanchez, 1971. Mr. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church, the original founder of the Zapata Club, an heir to the Atrisco Land Grant and he loved his ranch in Chilili. A visitation for Mr. Sanchez will be Friday evening after 6:30pm at San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at San Martin Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father James Vance. Stanton -- Arthur P. Stanton, a resident of Socorro, NM died on Saturday, April 27, 2002. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on October 9, 1912 to Antonio Stanton and Mercedes Chavez of pioneer New Mexico families. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1932 and from the University of New Mexico in 1937 with a B.S. in mathematics. He served in the South Pacific (Mariana and Gilberts campaigns) until the end of WWII. In 1945, he married Jean Thompson. Following military service, he became the Albuquerque Assistant City Manager. In 1947, he joined New Mexico Tech as Registrar and Personnel Manager, instituting Tech's Honors Work-Study program in 1952. After retiring from Tech, he joined the University of New Mexico and developed the New Mexico State Student Loan Program. memberships include Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the Albuquerque 20/30 Club, Socorro Presbyterian Church and Socorro Rotary Club. He served as president of the rotary club, was a Paul Harris Fellow and District Governor Representative. His hobbies included home improvement, golf and fishing. Art is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Melba Bailey; and brothers, Benjamin and Walter. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; sister, Mercedes Garoffolo; daughter, Ann Stanton and husband, David Connor of Montpelier, VT; son, Thomas Stanton and wife, Mary of Polvadera, NM; four grandchildren, Christopher and Benjamin Stanton, Jesse Snipper and Nora Connor; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Socorro with Rev. Phil Preston officiating. Stewart -- Lois B. Stewart, 80, of Muncie, IN passed away Tuesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born in Yorktown on August 26, 1921. She was the valedictorian of Yorktown High School, class of 1939 and attended Ball State University. Lois worked at Jim Stewart's Flower Shop for 39 years with her husband, Jim and later their daughter, Susan where she specialized in wedding flowers. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Muncie, the Muncie Elks, and a cheerful member of the Friends of Yesteryear. She is survived by one son, Daniel Stewart and his wife, Catharine of Yorktown, IN; and four daughters, Sharon Stewart of Yorktown, IN, Anne Stewart and husband, Joseph Pellegrion of Harrisonburg, VA, Janet Stewart and husband, Paul Kaplan of Albuquerque and Susan Stewart of Muncie, IN. She is also survived by one sister, Grace Miller and husband, Earl of Corona Del Mar, CA; her eight grandchildren, Jocelyn and Brian Waite, Erin and John Stewart, Ben and Jon Kaplan and Alexander and Hannah Pellegrion. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James D. Stewart; her parents, John and Leona Pearl Funkhouser Bullock; and her sister, Helen Cowell. Funeral Services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Gant Funeral Home, Yorktown. Burial will follow in the Elm Ridge Cemetery. Tobin -- Elizabeth Ann LaFrance Tobin, 47, a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Michael S. Tobin; their son, Nathan A. Tobin; her parents, Joseph E. LaFrance and JoAnn LaFrance of Biloxi, MS; her brother, Jeffery K. LaFrance; sister, Brigitte M. Scriver, both of Ocean Springs, MS; her father-in-law, Harold Tobin; brother-in-law, Nelson Tobin, both of Tampa, FL; and brother-in-law, Jonathan Tobin of Detroit, Michigan. Elizabeth was born June 26, 1954 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1972 and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1977. While attending USM, she met Michael and they married November 19, 1977. Upon graduation, she began a teaching career that spanned over 25 years. Her dedication to children and education was second to none. Services will be held Thursday, 2:30 p.m., at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana NE, with Rabbi Joseph R. Black officiating. Private interment will take place at Congregation Albert Cemetery at Fairview Memorial Park. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Van Den Kolk -- Irene (Jasperina) Van Den Kolk, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Saturday May 4th 2002. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 55 years, Ronald Van Den Kolk; four children, Raina Mclean, Geri Blackmon and husband, Jimmy, Ann Dosch and husband, Joe and Frank Kolk and wife, Tracy; five beautiful grandchildren that loved her, AJ and Courtney McLean, Rachael, Megan, and Sarah Kolk. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Van Den Kolk. Our Mom loved making her dolls and her family and we will miss her. We love you Mom and Grandma. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Friday May 10, 2002, 12:00 Noon at Aspen Funeral Alternatives Chapel, 1935 Juan Tabo NE.
