She is survived by her daughter, Judy Trujillo and husband, Gilbert of Albuquerque; son, Manuel Castillo and wife, Rita of Albuquerque; five grandchidren, Patricia Candelaria and husband, Carlos Gilbert Trujillo, Elisha Trujillo, Rita Maria Castillo, and Ramon Castillo; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Briana, Gabrial, Domonique and Manuelito. Clark -- Anneliese G. Clark, 64, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 21, 2002, after a long and valiant struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Anneliese was a resident of Albuquerque for 32 years. She worked at Kirtland A.F.B. Exchange for 20 years before retiring in 1991. Friends and co-workers remember her as a hardworking person, always ready with a smile. Originally born and raised in Bernkastel, West Germany, she met and married her husband, Richard Clark, in December of 1957. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Matthias and Anna Schommer; her son, Matt Douglas Clark; and her sister, Ursula Frowein. She is survived by; her husband of 44 years, Richard Clark; her daughter, Sandra Anneliese Clark; and her grandson, Cameron Michael Clark, of Albuquerque, all of whom loved and cared for her and were by her side to the end. She is also survived by; her sister, Elfriede Fischer; and two nieces, Denise and Kathy Fischer, all of Austin, TX. Anneliese spent five years at the Bear Canyon Adult Day Care Center as she started her struggle with the debilitating Alzheimer's Disease that would eventually take her life. As the disease progressed, she moved to a special care facility, The Cottages. Anneliese was an outgoing person who touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved life, family, friends, laughter, hot air balloons, and elephants. She was generous to all and shared her good fortune in life with others. The Clark family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at The Cottages and also to Delta Hospice. Their kindness, gentleness, and caring will forever be remembered with deep gratitude. Memorial Rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Cotinola -- Richard Martin Cotinola, born on November 28, 1938 lost his battle with cancer on April 20, 2002. He is survived by his son, Richard Dennis (Rick) Cotinola and wife, Lorraine; daughter, Eileen (Cotinola) Mullen and husband, Jeff; grandson, Ricky Cotinola III; sisters, Cathy Cotinola and Mrs. Pauline Silva; many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Lorenzo and Julia Cotinola; sisters, Rose Blatchford, Della Stevens and Mary Lou Marez; and one brother, Gilbert (Tiny) Cotinola. Mr. Cotinola will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. A final viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated also on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Earnest -- Altha Love Wright Earnest, 92, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to her Lord on April 20, 2002, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Elbert E. Earnest; sons, James W. of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Stephen E. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and daughter, Kathleen Shea of Albuquerque. There are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Altha was born in Washita County, OK., December 30, 1909. She came to New Mexico in 1934, graduated from Vaughn High School in 1935, taught in a one-room, eight grade school at West Mesa in Torrance County. On December 22, 1935, she married Elbert Earnest, devoted herself to her husband, his career, their family and their church. She was an expert seamstress and clothing designer. She had her own career as shop owner of The Birdwatcher, on Canyon Road in Santa Fe for many years. After retirement in 1985, she wrote and published her autobiography,"From the Prairie to the Mountains". The family suggests contributions in Altha's memory to the St. John's United Methodist Church, 1200 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501, or the Alzheimer's Assoc. of NM, 8100 Mountain Road, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Visitation will be at McGee Memorial Chapel Tuesday, April 23, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.. Loague -- Nellie D. Jones Loague, 95, a resident of Belen, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2002. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Belen. She was born on January 7, 1907 in Williams County, Tennessee to Lon and Fannie (Petway) Arthur. Nellie moved to New Mexico in September of 1925 after her marriage to the late H.O. Jones, who preceded her in death in 1960. In 1962, Nellie married Clint Loague and moved to Clovis, NM. where she resided until his death in 1981. She then returned to Belen in 1987 and resided there until her passing. Nellie was the one of the best cook's that ever lived. Her passion was in canning, crocheting, cleaning, and cooking, as she was a true homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, Henchie and Hillard. She is survived by; her sons, Doug and his wife, Francie of Pueblo West, Colorado, and Barney and his wife, Sue of Los Lunas, NM; five grandchildren, Hal and his wife, Glenda, Dan and his wife, Darla, and Holly and her husband, Gerald, all of Texas, Barney, Jr. and his wife, Laurie, and Jeff and his wife, Janice, both of Los Lunas; eight great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters, Jonathan, Tyler, Koby, Kaleb, Mindy, and Blair, all of Texas, Matthew of New Mexico, and Jay, of California, Joshua, Adam, and Mandy, all of New Mexico, and Molly of New York; one great-great-granddaughter; and great-great-grandson, Autumn and Erik of New Mexico. She is also survived by; one niece, Patsy, and her family of Tennessee. Mcdaniel -- Milton W. McDaniel, age 73, of Tijeras, NM, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2002 at home with his family. He was born in Watsonville, CA on November 3, 1928 to Ed and Pauline (Towns) McDaniel. Milton grew up in Somerton, AZ and lived in Cimarron, NM for many years. Milton is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Henrickson) McDaniel; daughters, Cindy Hatchitt and Susan McDaniel; son-in-law, Bill Hatchitt; grandchildren, Kenny, Julie, Brian and Stephanie Hatchitt; and one sister, Donna Dowers. Mckiernan -- Jeannette McKiernan, 79, died April 20, 2002 after a brief illness. Born in Des Moines, Iowa to Helen and Julius Spencer Hagen, she was the youngest of eight children. Jeannette was educated in Des Moines pubic schools and graduated from North High School in 1941. She worked for five years with Meredith Publishing Company. She married John McKiernan on August 26, 1945. Her life after marriage centered on her family and church. John and Jeannette moved to Albuquerque in 1951, and made their home in the same location for over 50 years. Jeannette was a member of Monte Vista Christian Church, where she was active in Women's Ministries, Sew 'n Sew, as a shepherd and a deaconess, on the history committee, and as an office volunteer. In addition, she volunteered at Musical Theatre Southwest in the office and as an usher. Over the years she was a leader in several Parent-Teacher Associations, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts, and active and generous with friends. She is survived by her husband, John; children, Kathleen Hamilton (son-in-law, Bobby) of Rio Rancho, Linda McKiernan-Allen (son-in-law, Ron Allen) of Indianapolis and John McKiernan (daughter-in-law, Marianne) of Denver; seven grandchildren, Karin, Canaan, Genesis, Moriah, Benjamin, Barek, and Sabbath; and one great-grandchild, Christopher. Her expanded circle of family and friends includes her sister-in-law, Helen Hagen; many nieces and nephews; many dear friends in the Kum Dubbles Sunday School class, and other friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Presbyterian Hospice for their kindness and care during Jeannette's illness. A Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held on May 1, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Christian Church. Montoya -- Hipolito "Paul" Montoya Jr., 74, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, April 19, 2002. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Pineda -- Jeffery "Scotty" Pineda Jr., 17, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2002 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born November 27, 1984 to Jeff S. and Melissa L. (Vallegos) Pineda Sr. in Socorro, NM. He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Melissa of Las Cruces; sister, Jennifer Pineda of Las Cruces; grandparents, John and Gina Pineda of Socorro and Ramon and Sefie Vallejos of Socorro; Scotty is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins that all love him very much. Pino -- Eddie Pino, age 74, died Saturday evening April 20, 2002 at his home with his family at his side. Eddie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Naomi de Pino; three children, Nathan Pino, Bernadette Pino de Goler, and Gilda Vogal. Eddie also leaves behind five grandchildren, Darrick and Caprice Pino, Andrea Dionne, Christopher and Nicholas James; and seven great-grandchildren, Angel Chavez-Pino and Andre Pino, Klassie and Alicia Pino, Samantha and Nicholas Dionne, and Cruzita James. Eddie worked at Albuquerque Police Department for five years then moved to Los Angeles where he worked 17 years as a Deputy Sheriff. Eddie and Naomi returned to Albuquerque where Eddie resumed work at Bernalillo Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff. Eddie was a 4th degree Black Belt and taught self-defense to police officers in the State Police Academy and throughout New Mexico for over a decade, leaving behind the memory of a crippling handshake. A Prayer Service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Ramirez -- Angie Ramirez, age 73, died April 20, 2002. She was born October 9, 1928 in Albuquerque, NM and has been a life long resident. She is survived by Macario Ramirez, her husband of 57 years; eight children, Antonio and wife, Laura Ramirez of NM, Manuel and wife, Elaine Ramirez of TX, Macario Jr. and wife, Patty of NM, Albino Ramirez of NM, Martha and Augustine Rodriguez of NM, Monica and husband, Alejandro Chavez of NM, Louisa and husband, John Raught of NM, Emily Carmignani of NM; two brothers, Calistro Sanchez of NM, Silvestre Sanchez of NM; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Angie was preceded in death by; her mother, Louisa Lopez; and one sister, Maria Ramirez. During her life she worked at Christian Kent Nursery, and Presbyterian Hospital from which she retired. Pallbearers will be the seven grandsons and Ron Hadad. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. preceding a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. located at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. Rivera -- Gavina (Vina) Nuanes Rivera, 77, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 20, 2002, after a brief illness. She was born on June 21, 1924, as the youngest of 12 children born to Remigio and Beatriz Nuanes in Old Town Albuquerque. She graduated from Albuquerque High School and later married Manuel Rivera. She gave birth to five children, all born in Albuquerque. Later, as a single mother, she lovingly cared for her children in the Duranes area, working for 31 years for the Bernalillo County Juvenile Probation Office, where she supervised the staff and later became the Children's Court Clerk. She was a devout Catholic and faithfully worshipped at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She is survived by her five children, Charlotte Walton, and her husband, Kenneth, Geraldine Rivera, and her husband, William Deaton; Robert Rivera, Beatriz (Betty) Rivera, and David Rivera, and his wife, Patricia; six grandchildren, Randall and Todd Turrietta, Jeffrey Bowerman, Marc Rivera and Bennigna Rivera, of Albuquerque, and Savanna (Rivera) Halwas, and her husband, Todd Halwas, of South Carolina; five great-grandchildren, Sean Turrietta, Victoria, Ashlyn and Dallas Turrietta, and Dorothy Emma Halwas; her surviving siblings are Nestor Nuanes, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Annie Garcia, and her son, Harry Garcia, of Albuquerque, and Joseph Nuanes, and his wife, Margie, of Whittier, California. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. The Pallbearers are Jeffrey Bowerman, Todd Turrietta, Marc Rivera, Bennigna Rivera, Paul Nuanes and Harry Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert D. Chavez, Pete Chavez, Raymond Saavedra, Ernest Nuanes, Jr., William Deaton and Kenneth Walton. At a later date her remains will be cremated and a private ceremony will occur for their final disposition. We will forever miss the quiet, kind and dignified grace of our loving Mother.

Smith -- Thomas J. Smith was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 28, 1920 and died Sunday morning, April 21, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. To his family and early friends, he was known as Jimmy. He married Ruby Ellen Scott on April 1, 1938 in Weatherford, Texas. He had a variety of jobs early in life including several stints working for his father at his restaurant, the Paris Coffee Shop in Fort Worth. In June 1939, their daughter, Patricia Ann was born. That same year he joined the National Guard, was mobilized in January 1941, and sent to Camp Bowie, Texas as a mess sergeant. He was discharged in May 1941, and worked as a draftsman in an architectural firm in Fort Worth. In September 1941, he was hired by the Army Corps of Engineers and went to Gatesville, Texas where he made maps of the area for Fort Hood, Texas and negotiated with the landowners for the land required to build Fort Hood. He was in charge of relocating the cemeteries in that area to accommodate the army base. In 1943, he was sent to Alaska by the Corps of Engineers where he was in charge of security during the construction of the ALCAN Highway. In 1944, he became a police officer with the Fort Worth, Texas police department and eventually was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 1950, he became a Special Agent of the FBI and was sent to San Diego, California for his first office. At that time his fellow agents began calling him"Tom" and that was how he was known the rest of his career. In June 1951, he was transferred to the Albuquerque office where he served for nine years. During that period, their son, David Marshall, was born in October 1953. In June 1960, he received an assignment to the Army Language School in Monterrey, California to study Albanian. Following his graduation from that school in 1961, he was assigned to the Espionage Division of the New York City FBI office and served there three years. In 1964, he was transferred to FBI Headquarters and was assigned to the Intelligence Division. He served as a supervisor and number one man in the Latin American Section. He was chief of the Research Section and was later promoted to Inspector and assigned as Deputy Assistant Director of the Intelligence Division. During his assignment as Inspector and Deputy Assistant Director he appeared before various Congressional Hearings related to FBI Operations. In 1974, he was the U.S. Delegate to the NATO Special Committee in Brussels, Belgium. He retired from the FBI in October 1974 and he and his wife moved back to Albuquerque in 1975. He was an active member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and he helped found and served two years as president of the local chapter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). He also belonged to the Association of Central Intelligence Corps Veterans (ACICV). From 1976 to 1984 he was chief of security for the New Mexico State Fair racing division. During his spare time, he became his wife's assistant in her doll making business. He developed a special line of paints she used on her porcelain bisque antique reproduction dolls. He was the ťbodyť man and helped in doll repair operations and assisted in transporting, displaying and photographing the many dolls that Ruby Ellen made for various doll shows and sales. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Gregory K. and Pauleen E. Smith; and his brother, William. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruby Ellen; his daughter, Patricia Wood and her husband, Don; son, David M. Smith and wife, Fran; his only granddaughter, Paula L High; brothers, Paul Smith (Dorothy), Robert E. Smith (Bess), T. David Smith, Greg Smith and Mike Smith (Ginger); cousin, Betty Jean Wright (Jack). He also had numerous nieces and nephews and so many wonderful and special friends. His family expresses thanks to the caring staff at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital and the wonderful nurses and physicians at the MICU and Neurosurgery ICU at UNM Hospital. Stiteler -- Judith Miller Stiteler, 61, born in Trinidad, Colorado, October 11, 1940, passed away on April 18, 2002 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Peru Prep and Peru State College, receiving her BA in 1961. She was a violin student of Victor Jindra from the age of eleven and majored in music at Peru. She taught strings in the public schools of Fort Morgan, Colorado in 1964. After receiving her MA from LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1963, she moved to Albuquerque, performing with the Albuquerque Chamber Orchestra and the New Mexico Symphony, as well as teaching strings in Albuquerque Public Schools. In 1965, Judith and David Stiteler were married, and Albuquerque was their home for 37 years. When arthritis curbed Judith's violin performances, she decided to pursue a nursing degree and went back to school at the age of 47. She received her BSN from the University of New Mexico in 1989, and worked for the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Albuquerque until Dave's retirement in 1992. After retirement, Dave and Judith traveled the world, riding camels in the Middle East, spending 11 months in South East Asia, sending e-mails from China, and voyaging to the Arctic Circle and the Antarctic. Judith's last visit abroad was in December, 2001, when she returned from a scuba diving trip in Belize where she earned her advanced open water scuba certification. Judith is survived by; her husband, David; son, Adrian, daughter-in-law, Sissy; and grandson, Caleb of Carlsbad, New Mexico; daughter, Rachel of Albuquerque; brother, Hanford Jr. of Cowdrey, Colorado; and a multitude of friends and family around the world. Her special talent for connecting with people will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Hanford and Edith Miller of Peru, Nebraska; and a brother, David Miller of Bloomfield, Iowa. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Judith's life will be held at Seagull Street restaurant in Albuquerque on April 27, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judith's name may be made to the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque, 2730 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110.

Wisniewski -- Robert J. "Bob" Wisniewski, Sr., 49, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Saturday, April 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Alice Wisniewski; son, Robert Wisniewski, Jr. and wife, Tabitha of Walls, MS; daughter, Aprille Wisniewski and son, Kevin Wisniewski, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Luke and Jacob Wisniewski of Walls, MS; parents, Edmund and Margaret Wisniewski of Bourbonnais, IL; brother, Dave Wisniewski; and four sisters, Patricia Garrity, Judith Schwachtgen, Lori Picciola and Rita Kinney. Mr. Wisniewski was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Wisniewski. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the National Weather Service for 25 years. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 24, 2002, 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School NE, with Father William McCarren, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers will be John Stubbs, Joe Alfieri, Kerry Jones, Bobby Franco, Neil Haley and Mike McLaughlin. Friends may visit Tuesday, April 23, 2002, from 6:00 p.m. to time of Prayer Service.
