Butterbaugh -- Cheryl A. Butterbaugh, 57, a resident of New Mexico for 38 years, loving wife, mother, sister and friend, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James F. Butterbaugh of Tijeras; son, James "Skip" Butterbaugh and wife, Renay and son, Scott A. Butterbaugh, all of Albuquerque; mother, Lorraine Broussard; brother, Patrick J. Broussard and wife, Dorothy Tune; nephew, Patrick J. Broussard, Jr. and wife, Amenthe and their children, Alissa and Stuart, all of New Iberia, LA; and mother-in-law, Bernice K. Butterbaugh of Albuquerque. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Growler Broussard; daughter, Jacqueline K. Butterbaugh; father-in-law, William H. Butterbaugh, Jr.; and brother-in-law, William H. Butterbaugh III. She was a member of John XXIII Catholic Community. Cheryl made quilts for the Linus Foundation, which supplies blankets for critically ill children. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, with Rev. Arkad Biczak, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Skip Butterbaugh, Scott Butterbaugh, Keith Butch Miller, Aaron McVay, Michael Thomas and Edward DuBois, Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linus Foundation in care of John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, 87111. Carder -- Charles H. Carder, 83, passed away in Mesa, AZ on December 18, 2001. Charlie was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque until the last few years. His sons, Ray Carder of Phoenix, AZ, Porky (Larry) Carder and wife, Gini of Woodsville, TX; and daughter, DeDe Arwood and husband, John survive him. He is also survived by his second wife, Phyllis Carder of AZ. Charlie is also survived by his grandchildren, Audra and Carder Arwood and fiance, Ginger, JD Ellis and husband, Robb and daughter Ashley, Cheryl Carder, Meshelle Mahan and husband, Chip and children, Keara and Jenna, Leland Bonlarron and son, Cruz; and five step-children and grandchildren. Charlie was a General Contractor for many years in Albuquerque in business with his brother-in-law. They owned Carder and Eden Construction. Later he owned Carder Construction Co. In the early years, he helped build the racetrack on Eubank and enjoyed owning and racing stock cars. He was active for many years in Temple Lodge Six, Scottish Rite, Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, Airplane & Horse Units, member of the NM Mounted Patrol, and was a charter member of the Four Hills Country Club. His first love was always his Palomino Quarter Horses. He was active in NMPHBA & NMQHA and was for five years the National Palomino President. Cremation has taken place in AZ. A Memorial Service and interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery will take place after the first of year.

Cundiff -- Catherine Cundiff, 83, of Albuquerque died November 9, 2001. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 3701 Carlisle NE. Friends are invited to come and share remembrances with her family.

Harrison -- Langdon Dewey Harrison, Col., US Air Force Retired, 78, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2001, following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Michele Harrison of Albuquerque; daughter, Courtney Denton and husband, Terry of Denton, TX and son, Langdon Harrison Jr. of Phoenix, AZ. He also leaves behind a daughter, Murielle Protiere and son, Charles Protiere, both of Paris, France; several relatives; and friends. Mr. Harrison graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New Mexico and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He served with the 15th Air Force during WWII as a B-24 Pilot, accomplishing 50 missions and also as a B-57 Pilot for A.E.C. Nuclear Sampling in the South Pacific. Mr. Harrison was honored with numerous medals and decorations for combat in Europe. As a Test Pilot at Holloman Air Force Base, he also received numerous awards for Nuclear Weapons Testing. He was active with the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Santa Fe and the Shrine Temple, Ballut Abyad Shrine. Mr. Harrison was Owner and President of Harrison Companies, Real Estate Broker and Gas Producer. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2001, at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Kehoe -- Dorothy Sutherland Kehoe, R.N., B.S.N., 84, a resident of Albuquerque for nine years, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George A. Kehoe of Albuquerque; daughters, Leslee Ann Schmitt of Driggs, Idaho and Johnee Laurene Simrell and husband, Richard of Albuquerque; son, Sean Purvis Kehoe and wife, Jennifer of Barrett, MN; grandsons, Barry Schmitt of Park City, UT, Carl Schmitt of Boulder, CO and Tyler Kehoe of Barrett, MN; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Renee Cabot and husband, Michael of Las Cruces, Katee Simrell, Colleen Davis and husband, Matthew, all of Albuquerque and Alexandra Kehoe of Barrett, MN. She was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of J.T.S. and Maud Purvis. After graduation from Moose Jaw High School, she entered Royal Columbian Hospital Nursing School from which she graduated in 1941. Mrs. Kehoe entered the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as an RN in Gander, Newfoundland where she met and married George A. Kehoe in 1943. She worked at Jeffrey Hale Memorial Hospital in Quebec City and Montreal Neurological Institute and Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. Following the war, she moved to California and worked at Torrance Memorial, Anaheim Memorial, and Whittier Hospitals, and retired as a medical utilization reviewer for the State of California in 1984. Mrs. Kehoe moved with George to Reedsport, OR and finally to Albuquerque in 1993. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Cremation will follow services. Matthew -- Georgia Baca Matthew. Born February 22, 1939, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2001 in San Diego, CA. Georgia was born in Pena Blanca, NM. Graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1957. Georgia worked for the NM-DMV until she moved to San Diego. Georgia retired from Ca.-DMV in San Diego when she discovered she had cancer. She is preceded by her father and mother, Albert and Isabel Baca; and six brothers. She left behind her siblings and husband, William Matthew; daughters, Theresa, husband, Tom Mason, Patty Matthew, and Sandra, husband, James Ellison.; four grandchildren, Cory, Jessica, Garret and Krysa; three sisters, Priscilla Moran, Marcella Tartaglia and Rita Bustamante; two brothers, Ernesto and Rubel Baca; several nephew and nieces who loved her and thought the world of her who all live in Albuquerque. We will all miss her dearly, she had many friends everywhere. She was a person who didn't know a stranger and made friends with everyone right away. Muehlenweg -- Ethel R. Muehlenweg, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Carl A. Muehlenweg of Edgewood and Robert J. Muehlenweg of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and brother, Bert Rau of High Point, NC. Muniz -- Mrs. Erna S. Muniz, 75, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 20, 2001. Mrs. Muniz is the beloved wife of 56 years to Mr. Jacinto Muniz. She is also survived by four daughters, Ramona Miranda and husband, Patrick, Alice Perez and husband, Mario, Pearl Rascon and Maria Elena (Marie) Muniz; one sister, Carmen Chavez and husband, Ruben; one brother, Isaac Saavedra; sisters-in-law, Rosella Saavedra, Angelita Luz Ayala and Concha Anchondo; six grandchildren, Jessica, Sandra, Veronica, Patricia, Eva and Paul Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Kara and Justice. Mrs. Muniz was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary was recited Friday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel by Josephine Quintana. Final Visitation will be Saturday morning after 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Viera. Saavedra -- Mr. Felipe T. Saavedra, 79, a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away December 21, 2001 peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side. Mr. Saavedra is survived by his children, Felipe Saavedra Jr., and wife, Elizabeth, Lorrey Saavedra and Michael Gurule and Eugene Saavedra and Janine Wieden; one sister, Elfela Baca; two brothers, Esequiel Saavedra and Pete Saavedra and wife, Mary; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Saavedra was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Saavedra and a son, Albert Saavedra. Mr. Saavedra was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War I I. A visitaiton will be Sunday afternoon after 2:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. A final viewing will be Monday morning after 8:30 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Edmund Savilla. Interment will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Gabriel Saavedra, Luis Saavedra, David Torres, Tudy Torres, Albert Saavedra Jr., and Ignacio Saavedra. Tortoreto -- Josephine (Pina Paterno) Tortoreto, 92, was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, December 20, 2001. She was born in New York City on November 29, 1909, first generation born of Italian immigrants. Beloved by family and friends, she will be remembered for her generous spirit and her deep faith and trust in the Lord. She was a former opera singer with the Chicago, San Carlo and San Francisco Opera Company. She moved to Albuquerque in 1980 from Los Angeles and volunteered with the UNM Maternity and Infant Care Program, was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church and an active member of the Senior Center at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. She will be dearly remembered by her two daughters, Camilla Rowe and Maria Duran, son-in-laws, Warren Rowe and Donald R. Duran, grandchildren, Victoria Rowe, Daniel Rowe and wife, Shannon, Adriana Roze and husband, David, Christina O'Connell and husband, Brian, Gabriella Duran and John Duran, and she was blessed with great-grandchildren, Isabella and Nathaniel Rowe, and Julia and Evan O'Connell. Rosary will be held Sunday, December 23, 2001, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated, Monday, December 24, 2001, 10:00 a.m., Holy Child Catholic Church, 19 A Camino del Santo Nino, Tijeras, NM, with Father John Carney, Celebrant.
