Jackson -- Terry B. Jackson, 80, died Thursday, August 9, 2001. She is survived by her son, William Eric Brown of Ruidoso, NM; daughter, Deborah Anne Brown of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law, Kellie Kay Brown; and granddaughter, Lindsey Kayln Brown, both of Ruidoso, NM; niece, Sharon Kressler, and brother-in-law Owen Cassaboon, of Okeechobee, FL. Terry was the owner of Potter-Patterson Personnel in Albuquerque from 1979-1983. In addition, she established and owned the first credit bureau in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the St. Croix Credit Bureau, where she lived for 20 years. Originally from Germany, she was very proud of being an American. Services will be held at St. John's Cathedral. Arrangements by French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel.

Kraft -- Dorothy Kraft, 87, passed away August 11, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her son, David Kraft of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Susan Jones-Szabo of CA, Peggy and Timmy Loomis of Albuquerque; special friends, James Torres of Belen and Tom Vanert of WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and daughters, Jean and Patricia Kraft; a sister, Helen Kracht; two brothers, Freadrick Meyer and Vernon Meyer; one grandchild, Steven Loomis; and her favorite canine friend, Mesha. Dorothy lived in Albuquerque for the past 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family. A Visitation will be held Monday, August 13, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Landis -- Nora F. Landis, 65, died Sunday, August 12, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William J. Landis of Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by her six children, William J. Landis, III, Albuquerque, NM, Mary Alice Landis-McGowan and Gary, Hackettstown, NJ, Michelle Ingle and Keith, Albuquerque, NM, Peter Landis and Pamela, Belen, NM, Paul Landis, Albuquerque, NM and James Landis and Laura, also of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers, Dennis Corbett, Ireland, Senan Corbett, Ireland and Bernard Corbett, England; nine grandchildren, Adam, Noah and Jonah, Theresa, James, Paul Michael, Damion, Nora and Zach. Mrs. Landis is preceded in death by a grandson, Peter J. Landis, Jr. Mrs. Landis was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Society John XXlll Council, NE Lions Club, New Mexico Bird Club and a Communican of John the XXIII Catholic Community. She was also a member of Highland and Bear Canyon AARP. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE, Alb, NM from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. daily. Marland -- Thelma Adams Marland, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died Friday, August 10, 2001. She is survived by her nieces, Mary Kay Roach and husband, Don, and Bonnie Hite, both of Farmington; stepson, Ronald Marland and wife, Pat of Los Gatos, CA; stepdaughters, Mary Matheson and husband, Len of Trabusco Canyon, CA and Debbie Wilkinson and husband, Frank of Mission Viejo, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles E. Marland; and her friend and faithful companion, Mikey. Thelma attended UNM (1928-1930) and received her B.A. degree; she was also a member of Phi Kappa Phi. Thelma served as a lieutenant with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. She taught school in Albuquerque for nine years, Burbank, CA for three years and was an elementary school principal for the past 27 years. Thelma was a member of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church and past member and officer of West Mesa Garden Club. She retired in 1970 and returned to her native home in New Mexico, and then remarried Dr. Charles E. Marland in 1978. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Harold Zapata officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, in Burbank CA. Martinez -- Gabriela Martinez, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, August 8, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Nellie Archer of Phoeniz, AZ; son, Eddie R. Martinez and wife, Selfa of Albuquerque; son, Robert Martinez and wife, Marie of Rio Rancho; daughter, Gloria Garcia and husband, Tom of Los Chavez; son, Ron Martinez and wife, Toni of Albuquerque; son, Garry Martinez and wife, Denise of Spring Hill, FL; son, Michael Martinez and wife, Charlotte of Placitas; son, Andy Martinez; daughter, Lorraine Baca and husband, Alvin, both of Albuquerque; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. ťWillieť Martinez; daughters, Martha and Margaret Martinez; grandson, Kenneth Garcia; and great-grandson, Evan James Martinez. Gabriela was a member of the Moose Club, a member of Catholic Daughters, a member of BPOE (Elks Club) and a member of Queen of Angels Chapel. Morley -- Geraldine D. (Gerry) Morley, 76, lost her 30 year battle with cancer on Sunday, August 5, 2001. She is survived by her son, Fred Morley and wife, Liesa; her daughter, Mary Kay Archer and husband, Bruce; her grandchildren, Shawn La Valley, Kelsey Morley, Sarah Archer, Katie Archer, John Archer; and her great-granddaughter, Robin La Valley. Her husband, Robert E. Morley; her daughters, Susan Morley and Peggy Morley; and her grandson, Robert Butler, preceded her in death. She leaves her family and many friends a legacy of incredible optimism, loyalty, and wisdom. She taught us all how to conquer life's challenges with faith, strength, and humor. She is the best "Grammy" ever! Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be on her birthday, Thursday, August 16, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming NE. Otto -- Mrs. Florence Otto passed away Friday morning after a brief illness. Florence was born in Georgia the daughter of A.C. Williams and Frances Hart. She moved to New Mexico over 60 years ago and began working for the telephone company. She soon married Everett A. Otto in Albuquerque at Central Methodist Church. Florence and Everett had three children, Shirley, John and Jane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett A. Otto, as well as her daughter, Shirley. Although Florence experienced many hardships throughout her life, her faith always remained constant. She never felt it important to preach her faith instead she lead by example. She lead her life knowing, "The heavier I lean upon God's promise the more he does for me." Our Mom or Nana has loved each of us in such a special way and has given us all a lifetime full of memories that will remain with us always. Florence is survived by her son, John and his, wife Sally Otto, and their two daughters, Lindsey and Sarah; one daughter, Jane and her husband, David Marianetti, and their two children, Gina and Rebecca. Services will be held Monday, August 13, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Rev. Chris Liberman of Immanuel Presbyterian Church will be the officiating. Saiz -- Mrs. Josefina Saiz, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 11, 2001 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Saiz is survived by one daughter, Hortencia Duran; three sons, Jose Quezada and wife, Maria, Francisco Enriquez and wife, Eleanor, Jorge Terrazas and wife, Ruth; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW. A Committal Service will follow the Visitation at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Smith -- Ruby Pearl Smith, a longtime resident of New Mexico, passed away on August 11, 2001. She was a generous and loving spirit whose life was reflected in Proverb 31 and she will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. Ruby is survived by her husband of 34 years, James R. Smith of Albuquerque; son, Henry Culver and wife, Jean, of Santa Fe; daughter, Debbie Doak of Albuquerque; step-daughters, Myrtle Allen of Houston, TX, Roxie Ackerman and husband, Neil, of Victoria, TX, and Sherry Ward and husband, Ronnie, of Roanoke, TX; grandchildren, Sharon Culver and Frank Culver and wife, Sandra; great grandchildren, Trent and Amanda Culver; sister, Billie Houchin; and brother, Jay Payne and wife, Hazel. Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Frank R.Culver, as well as three brothers and two sisters. Services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at Bosque Farms Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. where Ruby had been a member since 1973. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Trujillo -- Carmen Trujillo, 85, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 10, 2001. Mrs. Trujillo was a life long resident of New Mexico who enjoyed playing bingo when she had some free time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estevan Trujillo; two brothers, Lupe Chavez and Melquiades Chavez; and sister, Amalia Padilla. Mrs. Trujillo is survived by her sons, Eugene Trujillo and wife, Sally of Belen, Adauto Trujillo and wife, Anita of Albuquerque, Joe Trujillo and wife, Rose of Bernalillo; daughters, Pauline Gonzales and husband, Delfinio, Theresa Aragon and husband, Lalo, Loretta Trujillo all of Albuquerque, Eloisa Miramontes and husband, Manuel, Dorothy Garcia and husband, Daniel, Mary Trujillo all of Bernalillo, and Elena Cervantes and husband, Carlos of Vegitas; 42 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Melisendro Chavez of Bernalillo, Placido Chavez of Arizona; three sisters, Mildred Leyba of Las Vegas, NV, Mary Rios of Albuquerque and Sofia Salas of Cuba; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. till the time of Rosary, which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral Services are pending and will be announced Tuesday. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Yost -- Luther F. Yost, 88, a resident of Albuquerque in 1949-51 and 1973 to present, died Friday, August 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Toby Yost; son, John L. Yost and Linda Blair; daughters, Jean Stefano and Bruce Briner, all of Albuquerque, NM, Carolyn Clarke and husband, Jim, of Denver, CO, and Ann Mason of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, David Stefano, Jennifer Meaden, Susan and Scott Coveyduck and eight great-grandchildren including two sets of twins. Mr. Yost graduated from North Carolina State University in 1933 with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and was a member of the Theta Tau scholastic fraternity. Mr. Yost enjoyed a successful career with General Electric and retired in 1973. He and his wife owned Thunderbird Travel Agency from 1974 to 1981. Mr. Yost was a member of the Skal International Travel Society and ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents). Formerly, he was an active member of First Methodist Church participating in the weekly program of feeding the homeless for eight years. Since becoming residents of Montebello, Mr. and Mrs. Yost have been members of Sandia Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to express special thanks to the residents and support staff of Montebello on Academy.
