Bartz -- Robert Edward Bartz, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away February 14, 2001 after a long difficult illness. He is survived by his wife, Jean of the family home. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE. on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. As a retired US Marine, he will be buried at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. Engle -- Lola Engle, born February 19, 1910, passed away at her home on February 12, 2001 after a long struggle with cancer. Formerly of Billings, MT, Lola moved to Albuquerque in 1998 to be close to family. Survivors include one son, Jerry Lund and wife, Terry of Bates City, MO; two step-sons, Robert Engle and his wife, Gaye of Poulson, MT and Ronald Engle and wife, Barbara of Minnetrista, MN; brother, Charles and wife, Geri of Carmichael, CA; sister, Beulah Davis and husband, Keith of Wadena, MN, six grandchildren, including, Cyndi Carter and husband, Mike of Albuquerque, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ross Engle, brother, Kenneth and sister, Dorothy. Cremation has taken place. Garza -- Angelo Joe Garza, 17, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 13, 2001. Angelo is survived by his father, Joe Garza and wife, Linda; two sisters, Samantha Garza and Dominique Garza; two brothers, Anthony Notah and Emeterio Rodulfo; Grandfathers, Manny S. Garza and David A. Luna; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Bertha Garza and Cora Luna. Angelo, was a member of the Catholic Church, in the 11th grade at Valley High School, A member of the Valley High School Football team and a member of the Air Force ROTC. He was loved by all and will be missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with final visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Gene, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Tallouzi, Barney Baca, Antonio Vargas, Carlos Conroy, Damian Elebario, and Chris Garcia. Gibson -- Mr. Jerry C. Gibson, 62, a resident of Peralta, NM passed away on February 15, 2001. Mr. Gibson is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Marcella Gibson; two sons, Donny Gibson and David Gibson; three daughters, Margaret Baldwin, Elaine Rudolph and husband, Marc, Lori Long and husband, Dustin; one sister, Oleita Roy and husband, Jon; one brother, Roger Gibson and wife, Rita; three grandchildren, Maria, Aaron and Levi; one Aunt, Leita Tiller of Oklahoma City; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gibson was a member of the Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Army and was retired from G.E. Aircraft Division in June of 1999. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr., SW from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. byTony and Lucy Tafoya. Guardian -- Lucy D. Guardian, 77, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at an Albuquerque Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2001. She is a member of the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was the owner and operator of the El Charo Café in Belen for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose in 1985, two grandchildren, Michelle Guardian in 2000 and Connie T. Esquibel in 1965 and her sister, Juanita Reza. Lucy is survived by two daughters, Clara R. Esquibel and her loving companion, Joseph Montoya; and Rebecca A. Miller and her husband, Joe; two sons, Joseph L. and his loving companion, Toni Garcia, all from Belen and Sammy and his wife, Ester of Zuni, NM. She is also survived by her very special grandson, Mark and his wife, Angie of Veguita, NM; and her loving God-son, Reyes A. Guardian; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Maria Jesus Mares and Theresa Liggins, both of El Paso, TX; and by her many loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held on Friday, 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. with Manuel Gallegos officiating. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Inman -- John William Inman, born in Los Angeles, CA, November 17, 1942, died unexpectedly on February 13, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Cyrene; mother, Emma Schmid of Whittier, CA; sister, Karen Inman of Irvine, CA; sister, Wanda Marrero and husband, Gil of Santa Ana, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Phyllis Luthy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Frank Potenziani. He had many nieces and nephews. John was a loving father, husband, and friend. He was a graduate of UNM. He pursued many endeavors in his business career, the latest as CEO of Inman Irrigation, Inc., in which he was able to combine his love of golf, golf course construction and agronomy. Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Johns Episcopal Church. Arrangements being handled by Fitzgerald & Sons Funeral Home. Krannawitter -- Pauline Roney Krannawitter, 93, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born August 9, 1907 on a farm near St. Mary, KY, the daughter of Edward and Dola (Thomas) Roney. Pauline was a former Sister of Charity in Cincinnati before she married Col. Richard Krannawitter on October 10, 1953. He passed away January 26, 1991. She is survived by her sisters, Sister Lucia Anne Roney, S.C., and Sister Marie Vincentia Roney, S.C., both of Albuquerque and Sister Josephine Marie Roney, S.S.S., of Pueblo, CO; brothers, S. Thomas Roney and wife, Mary, of Burlington, VT, Brother Cyprian Luke, F.S.C (Charles), of Santa Fe, John I. Roney and wife, Josephine, of New Freedom, PA, Paul J. Roney, of Albuquerque, and Jesse R. Hagy and wife, Barbara, of Westbrooke, CT; numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited by Brother C. Luke at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2001, in Palm Chapel, Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Peralta -- Corrine L. Peralta, 53, a gentle, kind, generous, and lovely lady peacefully passed away while surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 15, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melcor and Leonela Lujan. Corrine is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Roberto of the family home in Jarales; two special daughters, Genevieve Sedillo and her husband, Tommy of Los Chavez; and Denise Campbell and her husband, Martin Jr, of Silver City, NM; two grandchildren, Sabrina Baca and Tommy Sedillo; four sisters, Anna Chavez and her husband, Manuel of Torreon, NM, Nellie Gutierrez and her husband, Manuel of Los Lunas, Theresa Lujan and her husband, Tony of Albuquerque, Maggie Lujan of Torreon; four brothers, Melcor and his wife, Fedelina of Albuquerque; Bill and his wife, Nancy of Torreon; Frank and his wife, Lupe of Peralta; and Albert and his wife, Jane of Los Lunas. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews, and all of her loving friends whom she considered her extended family. Perea -- Adelaida Perea went to our Lord on February 15, 2001. She was born on August 13, 1912 in Torreon, New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque in 1942. She spent many years volunteering her services at Sacred Heart Church. She also cooked meals for the Adrian Dominican Sisters who were assigned to Sacred Heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrosio Perea Sr. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Ambrosio Jr. and Helen Perea, Lupe and Peter Frenzel, Larry and Dorella Perea, Stella Perea and Teri Breschini, Richard and Patricia Perea; she is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Celedonia Gomez and numerous loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Perea will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Church on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pervorse -- Christopher Mathew Pervorse, 46, a resident of Bluewater, died Tuesday, February 13, 2001. Petty -- Josephine M. "Jo" Petty devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all she knew went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 13, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Petty of San Francisco, Ca.; sons, Michael Brannen and Phillip Petty both of Albuquerque, NM; and grandchildren, Jessica and Cameron Petty; siblings, Margaret Valdez of Fairview, NM, Pat Cleavinger and husband, Herb, Mary Ladner and husband, Bob, Joe L. Martinez and wife, Candy, Fran Bonnet and husband, Frank all of Albuquerque, NM, and Isaac Martinez and wife, Mary of Stanton, CA, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Self -- Betty Lou Self, 70, an Albuquerque resident for 33 years, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Cherryl Lingo and husband, Dean of Flora Vista, NM and Shelley Cooley of Albuquerque; son, Randy Self of Carlsbad, NM and Rick Self and wife, Brieta of Sherman, TX; sisters, Margaret Jackson and husband, Joe, and Connie Bickers and husband, Dennis; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Self was born October 26, 1930 in Weston County, WY to Leonard Hays and Marjorie Sutherland. She moved to Albuquerque in 1968 where she was employed at the University of New Mexico and retired in 1993. Mrs. Self enjoyed reading and travel with friends and family. She will be missed by all. Services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will take place at Mt.
