Barker -- George Patrick Barker, 50, a resident of Albuquerque for over two years, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Lauren Bryant-Barker; son, Eric Townshend Barker; daughter, Medora Asiyih Barker, all of Albuquerque; father, Raymond Barker and wife, Georgette of Virginia; mother, Shirley Barker of Lynchburg, VA; and three brothers, Casey Barker of Lynchburg, VA, Shawn Barker of Austin, TX and Michael Barker of Oregon. Mr. Barker served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. In 1972, he became a Baha'i in Limerick, Ireland. He served his faith for 29 years including in Alaska from 1980-1992 and the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa, Israel from 1992-1998. Services will be held Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with The Spiritual Assembly of The Baha'is of Albuquerque officiating. Bostick -- Elizabeth Ann Bostick, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 8, 2001. Elizabeth Ann was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her mother, Grace E. Bostick; brothers, Leon Bostick and wife, Shirley, all of Albuquerque and Royce Bostick and wife, Lucille, of Bloomfield, NM; sister, Linda Spellins and husband, Larry, of Irving, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clem J. Bostick on July 17, 1982, and sister, Grace Evadne Manning on June 24, 1992. She attended Temple Baptist Church all of her life. Elizabeth Ann was deeply loved, and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Bull -- Dr. A. Vivien Bull, 79, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Stirling Bull, and her sister, Pamela Seaton Bouquet. Born in Torquay, Devon, England, she graduated from Cheltenham Ladies College, Gloustershire. A war bride, she came to the United States after World War II, first living in Springfield, MA, and then settling in Los Alamos. She began a family and moved with her husband to Albuquerque in 1951. Vivien is survived by one sister; six children; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. They are Monica Seaton of Cheltenham, Anthony Bull and his wife, Drucilla, and their children Robert, Amy Smith and husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Bethany, Andrew Jennifer and Stephanie, all of Albuquerque; Christopher Bull of Brookline, MA, and his daughters, Lauren Walker and husband, Ben, Brooke, and Kristin; Pamela Allen and husband, Stephen of Albuquerque; Julian Bull and wife, Katie of New Orleans, LA, and their son Malcolm; Nicholas Bull and wife, Jeannette of Golden, CO, and their children, Danielle, Kyle, and Cory; and Jonathan Dana Bull and his companion, Mychele Hall of Albuquerque, and his son, Dustin. Vivien Bull started the Junior Tennis League in Albuquerque in the late 1950's, and she taught tennis in the city for nearly 20 years. After the death of her husband in 1966, she began work towards her doctorate in romance languages at the University of New Mexico and received her Ph.D. in 1976. Shortly thereafter, she accepted a position at the University of California, San Bernardino, and retired there as full professor and chair of the humanities department in 1992. In 1998, she was inducted into the Southwestern Tennis Association's Hall of Fame. She was loved by many. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th Street and Silver SW. Casey -- Marian E. Casey, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 30 years, passed away February 7, 2001 at St. Francis Gardens Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Casey and two brothers, Jim and Joe Bailey. Marian is survived by two sons, Jon Casey and wife, Jean, Thomas Casey and daughters, Megan and Kristy; only sister, Vera Burken and husband, Richard; sister-in-law- Elizabeth Bailey; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dismuke -- Joan Harms Dismuke, 65, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 5, 2001, surrounded by her children. She was born to Leon and Pauline Harms on June 4, 1935, in Hillsboro, KS. In 1936, her family moved to New Mexico where she lived the rest of her life. She graduated from Highland High School in 1953 and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM where she majored in music. On August 25, 1956, she married William"Bill" Dismuke, who in 1989 preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, daughter, Ruth Dismuke-Blakely and husband, Stuart; sons, Mark Dewey Dismuke and Cathy Shemek, Daniel Paul Dismuke and Stephen William Dismuke and wife, Danielle; brothers, Leon Gene Harms and Paul Harms; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a host of friends. Joan was a lifelong horsewoman, raising and showing Quarter Horses and was active in the NM Quarter Horse Assoc., the NM Palomino Horse Breeders Assoc. and gave many hours to the 4-H Club. In 1987, she became involved in raising and showing Corriente Cattle through the North American Corriente Assoc. and operated the Diamond Tail Ranch until her death. She is a charter member of the Immanual Presbyterian Church. Joan had many honors throughout her life, most recently the recipient of the SW Corriente Assoc. Heritage Award. In the past few years, her Corriente Cattle were her passion and gave her great joy and satisfaction. She was a devoted mother and grandmother giving countless hours to her children and grandchildren throughout her entire life. She had a powerful love of life, enduring strength and a sense of humor that sustained her. Cremation has taken place and a private interment is planned. Memorial Services will be held at Immanual Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, February 10, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been set up in her honor. Ericson -- Eldon Albert Ericson Sr. passed away Thursday, February 8, 2001. Mr. Ericson was born January 30, 1922 in Assaria, Kansas to Dr. W. Albert and Anna Almquist Ericson and was raised in the farm country of Iowa. He joined the US Army Air Corps in 1942, served in the 9th Air Force 36th Fighter Group, 23rd Squadron and was honorably discharged in June 1945. He received a BBA from Southern Methodist University in 1948 and became a CPA. Mr. Ericson served as the Treasurer of the City of Irving, TX, the Federal Government for 15 years and served a tour as the Comptroller of American Samoa. He was a master gardener, he played and taught the piano and played the organ for the Trinity Lutheran Church, Irvin, TX for many years. He had a passion for table-tennis his entire life culminating in becoming the State Table Tennis Champion for the NM Senior Olympics. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church for many years. Mr. Ericson married Jeanne Stanley on January 23, 1944. During their 57 years of marriage, they raised five children of their own, and love-adopted innumerable others that became part of their lives. Mr. Ericson is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne; Sons, Eldon Albert Ericson, Jr. of Abq, NM, Douglas and his wife, Kelly of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Carol Schmitter and her husband, Bob of Hempstead, TX, Susan Ericson of Santa Fe, NM, Kristia Hutchinson and her husband, Ken of Honolulu, HI; sisters, Ruth Ann Ericson, MD of Dallas, TX and Lois Belford and her husband, Earl of Kiowa TX; grandchildren, Kari, Eric, Trey, Michael, Blake, Stevie, Kaycee, Amanda and Zachery; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Lauren and Garrett. Galles -- Fern Livingston Galles, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2001. She is survived by her sweetheart of 74 years and husband of 66 years, H. L. Galles Jr.; her four children, son, Lee Galles; daughter, Judi Friday and husband, Larry; son, Rick Galles and wife, Tina; and daughter, Karen Mische and husband, Lynd. Fern is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Terri Bryan, Debbie Jagers and husband, Marty, Tracee Dezzutti and husband, Bert, Tim Galles, Mary Friday, Cindy Plate and husband, Tim, Elizabeth Friday, Steve Mische, Jamie Galles, Cori Galles, Leigh Ann Mische, Meredith Hayes and husband, Eric, Amy Galles and Bo Galles; five great-grandchildren, Lincoln Stanfield, Nicole Dezzutti, Jonathan Dezzutti, Kaitlyn Plate and Jaqueline Anne Jagers; she is also survived by her sister, Lucille Smith; several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Livingston and Judge Frank C.H. Livingston; brother Frank Livingston; sisters, Dorothy May Campbell and Margaret Ellen McKinney. She was given special care and friendship from three wonderful women, Beth Sanchez, Mary Ann Anaya and Betty Montoya. Fern was born in Rolla, Missouri. Her family moved to Belen, New Mexico in 1928 where her father was a District Court Judge. Fern attended Albuquerque High School and was named, Miss AHS. She later attended The University of New Mexico where she was a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. After college, she began teaching in Los Lunas at the height of the depression. Her class consisted of six different grades, all under one roof. She was a charter member of The Child Study Parenting Group, a charter member of The Albuquerque Junior League, C.F.O. of Fit Happens, and Vice President of Galles Motor Corporation. Fern was a terrific golfer and bridge player. She had a marvelous sense of humor that could bring levity to any situation. She had an incredible love for life, and her strength and courage were a model for us all. She was a true mother, grandmother and friend. No matter who she was talking to, she made that person feel like the most special person in the room. She showed us all how wonderful and important the partnership of marriage can and should be. Anyone who was lucky enough to know her, was forever changed. She was our Gigi, and we will all miss her deeply. Funeral Services will be performed on Saturday, February 10, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral. Dean John Haverland will officiate. Pallbearers are Hank Kelly, Neil Weaver, Tim Galles, Jamie Galles, Steve Mische, Bo Galles, Dr. William Edward and Leon Thompson. Private internment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Gill -- Willard H. Gill, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, February 5, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ruth S. Gill; stepchildren, John McCoy of San Diego, CA, Ruth Ellen Crossland of Scottsdale, AZ and Harriet George of Broken Arrow, OK; nephews, Renton George and Fred Gill, both of Amarillo, TX; and nieces, Jennie Morgan of Nevada, MO and Kathryne Bayle of Amarillo, TX. Mr. Gill was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and Wesley Fellowship. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodges. Gonzales -- Mrs. Candida T. Gonzales died Thursday in Albuquerque. Mrs. Gonzales was a member of the Blue Army at San Felipe de Neri Church and the Sacred Heart League. She is preceded in death by her husband, Matias S. Gonzales, sisters, Pauline Gutierrez, Eduarda Valtierra, Isabel Vaughn and Julia Baca, and brother, J. J. Torres. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her niece, Margaret E. G. Zamora and husband, Robert, whom she lived with during her later years. She was also survived by many other nieces and nephews who she treated as grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Gonzales will be held on Monday at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Visitation for Mrs. Gonzales will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Mortuary Chapel. Montgomery -- Tom Montgomery, 43, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Harry T. Montgomery. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie P. Montgomery; and sister, Phyllis R. Montgomery. Tom was born February 28, 1957 in Albuquerque. He attended Highland High, Albuquerque High and Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. Tom had been employed in insurance areas related to worker's compensation. His affection for his pets was unlimited. Tom had a lifelong fascination with southwest history and art. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball all his life, both playing and watching. Above all, Tom loved the New Mexico outdoors. Camping, hiking, fishing or just walking through the desert, it renewed his spirit. Tom will be missed so very much by his family, his dog, Dilly-bird, his cat, Daisy, and by his many wonderful friends. Neuzil -- Nathan Neuzil a long time resident of New Mexico, passed away at home on February 4, 2001. Nathan is survived by his wife, Margaret Russell; sister, Elaine Bratrsovsky of CO; brother, Father Lowell Greg Neuzil of TN. Ronquillo -- Carlos J. Ronquillo, 53, born in Winslow, AZ. on March 19, 1947, formally of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on February 2, 2001 in Stratford, CT. He was employed by Xerox Corp. for 28 years. Root -- Helen Alice Root, age 75, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 30, 2001. She passed from this life of natural causes in her sleep. Mrs. Root was born to Fred and Dolly Tenkotte in Helena, Montana on March 7, 1925. Mrs. Root was preceded in death by her brother, Bob and by her parents. She is survived by three daughters; Janalynn Paula Burnett and husband, Roger of Lincoln, CA, Gloria Jean Burch and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, NM and Leasa Helen Thompson and husband, David of Albuquerque, NM; she is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and niece, Leni Matherly, and husband, Lee of Sparks, NV; and many other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Root's life and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd. NE. All are welcome.

Sena -- Our beloved sister and aunt, Ropana S. Sena, life long resident of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2001 after a brief illness at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Roman and Beatriz Sena and is survived by her sisters, Tomasita Gonzales of Albuquerque, Esther Griego and Dolores Gamboa of Downey, California; a brother, Nestor G. Sena of Albuquerque; a special sister-in-law, Merlinda Sena; and many loving nephews and nieces. Miss Sena was preceded in death by brothers, Claude Sena and Roman O. Sena and by sister, Adelina Sena Lopez. Visitation and viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2001 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Worden -- Mildred Ginther Worden, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years reluctantly passed from this life on February 7, 2001. She is survived by husband, Oren; daughter and best friend, Ann Roche; sister, Evelyn Sage of Loveland, CO; aunt, Helen Scholand of Hilton, NY; and several cousins. She was born in Adams Basin, NY and graduated from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY with a B.A. and a M.Ed. She was active in the Republican party for many years, was a Board member and Officer of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra for six years, and for many years was a member and Board Officer of the League of Women Voters. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Women's Golf Association of Four Hills Country Club and ABCL Bridge Club. She enjoyed golf and bridge, not just for the sport, but for her many delightful partners. Cremation has taken place and a Private Burial Service will be held at Garland Rural Cemetery, Garland, NY. Young -- S. Beatrice (Bea) Young. March 10, 1928 - February 6, 2001. Survived by husband of 53 years, C. Bennett (Ben) Young; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Virginia Preston of Wayne, NE; children, Preston and Penny Young of DeSoto, Kansas, Anna and Michael Judernatz of Omaha, NE, Angie and Ed Buckspan of Broken Arrow, OK and Charles and Lisa Young of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Derby and Morgan Young, Jeremy and Daniel Judernatz, David and Allen Buckspan, and Megan Morong. She was loved and admired by all she met and knew. After moving to Los Lunas, NM from Omaha, NE in 1985, Bea became involved in activities at Monte Vista Christian Church and was always involved in the choir. Bea and Ben also danced every Friday with the Bosque Cuadrillas Square Dance Club in Belen and attended many square dance festivals and conventions. She had many talents with fabrics and her favorite, late in life, was spinning wool into many colored yarns. She would always finish up with her own creations of woven and knitted articles of scarves and clothing. She will be truly missed but always loved by her family and many friends. A Memorial Service is scheduled Sunday, February 11, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Monte Vista Memorial Fund or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
