Alexander -- Jane M. Alexander, 87, died Tuesday, December 05, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ortiz and husband, Herculano of Albuquerque, Nora Smith of Burlington, WI and Donna Garcia and husband, Stephen of Edgewood, NM; son, Gary Nixon and wife, Sandy of Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sister, Thelma (Toots) Hennecy of Warren, OH. Mrs. Alexander was a former long-time resident of Phoenix prior to moving to Albuquerque three years ago. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2000, in the Times and Seasons Columbarium at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating. Baros -- Sylvia Ann Baros, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, peacefully joined our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 5, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D., her sister, Adela Thomas and her parents, Soledad and Pedro Torres. Silk as her siblings affectionately called her, is survived by her sisters, Virginia Torres, Mary Torres and Josephine Hurt and husband, Wilbur of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Joe Torres, Gus Torres and wife, Helen of Union City, IN, Leno Torres of Michigan and Alec Torres and wife, Sabra of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Theresa Ann Baros and Donna Cesaretti and husband, Michael; best friend, Dr. Mary Estelle Lujan and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and long-time friends. Her extraordinary love will be held in our hearts. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge those individuals Sylvia shared her life with at Las Palomas Nursing Center; they lifted her sprints regularly. Barreda -- John M. Barreda, age 52, died December 4, 2000 in Chino, CA. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Bonilla. He is survived by wife, Debra Barreda; and daughter, Jamie Barreda of the family home; and daughter, Tina Cruz and husband, Ed of North Carolina; sister, Diane Barreda; brother, Joe Barreda and wife, Becca of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Matthew Cruz, Nicholas Cruz, Ashleigh Cruz all of North Carolina; one uncle, Ben Alvarez and wife, Gwen of Fort Worth, TX; two nieces and one nephew. Camperell -- Irene Camperell, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 55 years, died Tuesday, December 5, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank R. Camperell of Albuquerque; daughters, Carmen M. Wyszomierski and husband, Sam of Holtsville, NY, Dr. Kay Camperell of Logan, UT, and Cindy A. Liess and husband, Bill of Farmington, NM; grandchildren, Jonathan Wyszomierski and wife, Karin and Jacob Liess and wife, Cheri; great-grandchildren, Thomas J. Wyszomierski, Ashley Wyszomierski, Brittany Wyszomierski, and Jonathan Wyszomierski; sisters, Margaret Gibbs and Fay Pirkle, both of Dalhart, TX, Helen Oguin of Dallas, TX, and Violet Parker of Monroe, LA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Camperell worked as a cosmetologist and beautician in Dumas, TX where she owned her own business, but after marriage became a full time homemaker. She was an honorary member of the Nile Choirsers and a faithful member of Mountainside Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Chacon -- Mr. Desiderio E. Chacon died Wednesday in Albuquerque at the age of 62. Mr. Chacon was born July 1, 1938 in Vallecitos, NM. He was also an active member of the Barelas Community. Mr. Chacon is survived by his wife, Mary Rose Chacon; children, Johnny P. Chacon and wife, Heidi, Jesse Chacon and wife, Imelda, and Darline E. Chacon; and grandchildren, Victoria Chacon, Joshua Chacon, Manuel Chacon, Jose Chacon, Jessy Chacon, and Marisa Chacon. He is also survived by seven brothers, Bernabel Chacon, Isidoro Chacon, Addie Chacon and wife, Eileen, Ben Chacon and wife, Cora, Bon Chacon and wife, Carleen, Timoteo Chacon and wife, Candelaria, and Tomas Chacon; sisters-in-law, Inez Jaramillo, and Betty Lucero and husband, Magdeleno; brother-in-law, Lalo Madril; and many nieces and nephews. Hebert -- James P. Hebert, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died on Saturday, December 2, 2000. James is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hebert; sons, James P. Hebert, III and wife, Janet of Plano, TX and Michael Hebert and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque; daughters, Elizabeth Beth Taylor and husband, Bill of Belen, NM and Sharon Betrucci and husband Ronnie of Metairie, LA; step-son, Frank ThomasGrimoskas of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Lewis -- Vernon D. Lewis, 71, a resident of Belen, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2000. Vernon moved to New Mexico from Minnesota in 1959. He was a machinist since 1960 and later retired in 1993. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Albuquerque."Dear dad, now that I know all of your pain is gone, you will always be in my heart and thoughts. I will always love and cherish the memories we had. You and mom raised me to be me, and to be there if anyone ever needed me. Thank you. Love always and forever. Maes -- Louisa Maes, 86, went home to the Lord on December 5, 2000. She was born September 21, 1914, and was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, where she retired form the New Mexico State Hospital. Mrs. Maes belonged to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justo Maes and son Eloy Maes. She is survived by three daughters, Angie Sanchez and husband Joe, from Vallejo California, Linda Urioste of Albuquerque, and Efren Garcia of Las Vegas, NM; brothers, Lorenzo Archuleta and Joe Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM; sisters, Natalia Sena, of Kerman, CA, Petra Sena and husband, George of Albuquerque, and Mary Ann Gallegos and husband, Eusebio of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Anthony Doria; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Martinez -- Anita Maes Martinez, 74, was escorted by a chorus of Angels to her Heavenly Father and His Beloved Mother on Sunday, December 3, 2000, with her family at her bedside. She will be in eternal rest with her Little Angel, Danny. Anita was born on March 8, 1926 in Mora, NM to Daniel Maes and Roberta Romero. Anita and her husband were married 58 years ago in Ely, NV. They moved to Albuquerque in 1948. Anita was a vibrant lady during her time on earth, and wishes that her family and friends wear bright colors to celebrate eternal life. During her short years on this earth Anita raised a family of one son and five daughters. She was a long time member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Estolano; son, Robert Lee (Bobby) Martinez and wife, Linda; daughters, Linda Bassi and husband, Richard of Rio Rancho; Rita Martinez and husband, Patrick Rooney; Anita Garcia and husband Gilbert; Maria Elena Maestas; Clarissa Valdez and husband, Martin, all of Albuquerque. Muller -- Mr. Albino Muller, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 6, 2000. Mr. Muller is survived by his nine children, Susie, Patsy, Ruben, Jane, Henrietta, Larry, Joseph, Rebecca and Tina Louise. Ortega -- Mrs. Virginia Elena Ortega, 66, a life long resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 4, 2000 after a battle for a liver transplant. Mrs. Ortega was flown to San Francisco on the 2nd of December for preparations to receive a liver. Ryland -- Juanita "Tina" Rodriguez Ryland, 84, a native New Mexican, died peacefully at her longtime home in Albuquerque on Sunday afternoon, December 3, 2000 after a lengthy illness. Born at 610 Canyon Rd., Santa Fe, on March 12, 1916 to Francisco Martinez Rodriguez and Carlota Garcia Rodriguez, she attended Loretto Girls Academy. In 1945, she married harry L. Ryland, Jr. an Army Air Corps serviceman from Washington D.C., who was stationed at Camp Luna in Las Vegas, NM. Their daughter, Mary was born in Las Vegas. The young family moved to Washington, D.C. after Harry returned from World War II. In 1948, they moved back to New Mexico because Tina's mother was very ill. Harry began what was to be a long career with the Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos where their son, Harry was born. In 1951, as part of a large AEC personnel transfer, the family of four moved to Albuquerque and into the family home on Dakota St. in 1952. Tina was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brothers, Leo and Elias. She was by her husband's side when he died in May, 1991. Tina is survived by her children, Mary and Harry; grandson, Patrick of Paris, France; brother, Alfredo Rodriguez and wife, Ida of Santa Fe; sister-in-law, Else (Mrs. Leo) J. Tina loved her Catholic faith, her family, her state, her heritage, her pets and all animals. She enjoyed gardening and painting and her favorite color was turquoise. Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2000 beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd, NE with Rev. Richard Olona presiding. Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee, NE with Rev. Luis Jaramillo presiding, Con-celebrants, Msgr. Leo Lucero, Msgr. Sipio Salas, Rev. Ramon Aragon. Burial will be Monday, December 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery following a memorial mass at 9:30 a.m. at Cristo Rey Church on Canyon Road (where Tina and Harry were married). Rev. Lambert J. Luna will preside at the mass and Rev. John Candido Rodriguez will preside at the interment. Every gracious and self-effacing, Tina asked for simple arrangements. Therefore, rather than flowers, please feed her beloved birds and stray animals either by hand or donation. Contributions in her memory may also be made to the Assumption Spanish Choir, 811 Guaymas Pl., NE Albuquerque, NM 87108 or to the animal Humane Association of New Mexico 615 Virginia SE Albuquerque, NM 87108. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Deacon Rue White who brought Tina Communion every Sunday when she was no longer able to attend mass in her parish church, the special nurses of University of New Mexico Hospital Hospice for their care and support, and Merg Udell for being such a good neighbor. Schmidt -- The family of James A. Schmidt thanks the many, many friends and relatives who offered sympathy and support after the loss of our beloved son and brother. Severinghaus -- Patricia A. Severinghaus, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gilbert Severinghaus of Albuquerque; sons, Tom Severinghaus and wife, Mary of Los Alamos, NM, Jeffrey Severinghaus and wife, Kathryn and Dan Severinghaus and wife, Beverlee, all of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Thomas Allen, Jr., Rachael, Cassandra, Nadeige, Brian, Matthew, and Rebecca Severinghaus, and Haeja England. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mildred Young and sister, Donna Kinal. Mrs. Severinghaus was a wonderful housewife, mother, and beloved grandmother. She loved traveling and enjoyed spending their retirement years visiting the western United States with her husband in their motor home. Along the way, she made many lasting friendships. Her life touched many people and she will be missed by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 8, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at Fairview Memorial Park, with W.K. Woodard officiating. Wagg -- Reverend Evarts Judson Wagg,"Jud" (February 17, 1930 - December 2, 2000) passed from this earthly life to a heavenly one on December 2, 2000. His wife, Doris K. Wagg and four sons survive him, Kenneth Judson Wagg, Christopher Scott Wagg, Gregory Allen Wagg, and Jeffery Lawrence Wagg; in addition, there are also six grandsons; and two granddaughters. Jud served for 45 years in ministry most recently with St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church. He also served as director of the Storehouse for 12 years. Jud was known for his willingness to serve those in need and for his love of the outdoors. He left us with an example of humble service that will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE on Thursday, December 7, 2000 at 12:00 noon with a reception following.
