He is survived by his wife, Vickie Baker of Albuquerque; sons, Danny Baker, Vernon Baker, Sidney Baker, Jr.; daughter, Dianne Molina; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother, all of Ohio. Mr. Baker was a US Army Veteran. he worked as a bodyman at various body shops in the Albuquerque area for the past 30 years. Brick -- Ival W. Brick, born May 18, 1939 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, passed away September 21, 2000, in the loving arms of his family. He lived in the Albuquerque area since 1960. Casaus -- Alfredo A. Casaus, born December 15, 1923, an Armed Services veteran, retired from the City of Albuquerque, and Past Commander of American Legion, Post 100, passed away on September 27, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Angie Casaus; four sons, Alfredo Casaus, Jr, Michael and his wife, Isabel, Steve and his wife, Johanna, David and his wife, Sandra; four daughters, Anna Marie, Lucille and her husband, Robert West, Angela and her husband, Kenneth Osborne, Juliette and her husband, Christopher Chavez, and Jan Dispennette; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and one brother. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, at Queen of Heaven Church, with Deacon Pilar Garcia officiating. Dickinson -- Carol A. Dickinson, 63, of Albuquerque, died peacefully among family on September 25, 2000, after nearly twenty years of courageous struggle against chronic illness. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, George; her sister, Mary; her son Bill and his wife, Kim, son David, and son Jim; her stepdaughter, Debbie and her husband, Robert, stepdaughter, Laurie, stepdaughter, Joanie, and stepdaughter, Katie; her niece, Cathy and her husband, Rob, niece, Lynn, and her husband, Mike, and niece, Alma; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a warm community of beloved friends. Carol taught first grade at Adobe Acres Elementary School for many years before poor health forced her early retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister; a strong, wise, and generous friend; a gifted and energetic educator, artist, and musician who warmed and lit the many lives she touched; and a person of deep faith, humility, courage, and unfailing humor. Carol's wish that her remains be cremated has been honored. Memorial will take place at the Heights Club, 8520 Marble NE, on Sunday, October 1, at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider making gifts to the Heights Club, Inc., or to the Presbyterian Hospital Hospice program. Carol, we thank God for the gifts of your love and wisdom throughout our lives, and we are grateful that your suffering is over. Edwards -- Loran R. Edwards, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Tuesday, September 26, 2000. Ellis -- Robert Myron Ellis, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home with his family at his side on Tuesday, September 26, 2000. He is the loving Father of ten children, grandfather of 15, and great-grandfather of nine. A World War II veteran, Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; son, Robert Jr.; and daughter, Pamela. Engelbrith -- MARGARETTA "SIS" ENGELBRITH Born: August 15, 1934 Died: September 24, 2000During the early morning hours of Sunday, "Margie" Engelbrith, a widow, sister, mother, and most importantly, a grandmother, died in her daughter's home; a deeply loved woman. She will no longer be afraid. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Engelbrith. She is survived by her children, Dale Heidorn and wife, Lorraine, Sue Ferreira and husband, Edmund, Lorie Vaughn and husband, Ronald; grandchildren, Margie"Sissy", Nathan, Kelly, Matthew, Shane and"Little" Matthew. Erickson -- Viola R. Erickson, age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died at her home, Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in June of 1996; son, Roy, in December of 1994; great-grandson, Scott, in May of 2000; great-grandson, Adam, in February of 1992; daughter-in-law, Donna, in January of 2000; and brother, Walter Jacobson, in July of 2000 Mrs. Erickson is survived by five sons, Donald Erickson and wife, Anita, David Erickson and wife, Carol, Harold Erickson and wife, Joyce, Raymond Erickson, Byron Erickson, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Erickson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Franzmeier -- Howard W. Franzmeier, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2000. He is survived by his sons, Lawrence L. Franzmeier of Albuquerque, and William E. Franzmeier and wife, Rose of Seattle, WA; daughter, Gail A. Hamblet and husband, Albert, III of Tijeras; granddaughter, Terra Lynn Goldberg and husband, Jeffrey of Los Lunas; four grandsons, Eric Jackson and wife, Carol of New Orleans, LA, Cory Franzmeier of Seattle, WA, Albert Hamblet, IV of Albuquerque, and Adam Hamblet of Tijeras; and one great-granddaughter. Mr. Franzmeier was a member of the Elks Lodge and Sombra del Monte Christian Church. Both he and his late wife, Elberta were longtime volunteers at the Veterans Hospital. Gonzalez -- Louis W. "Lou" Gonzalez, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, September 24, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Catalina Gonzalez of Albuquerque; sons, Louis Gonzalez, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Mario Gonzalez and wife, Sylvia of Albuquerque, and Juan Gonzalez of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Sarah and Amanda; sister, Josephine Combs of Lake Elizabeth, CA; sister-in-law, Michelle Maytorena of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Louis was born May 4th, 1921 in Chihuahua, Mexico, and in 1923, moved to Los Angeles, California. Lou attended Elementary and High Schools in California and studied Law at U.S.C. He was inducted into the Army in 1942, and in February, 1943, while in the service, he became an American citizen. Lou served overseas in the Pacific arena and in 1946, holding the rank of Sergeant, he was honorably discharged from the US Army. After a successful career in insurance and sales, he joined the United States Veterans Administration. He worked for Uncle Sam in Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and from there was transferred to New Mexico. He served as veteran's benefits specialist and rose to Chief of the Veterans Service Division and retired in May of 1985. After this, Lou volunteered at the V.A. hospital as a part-time employee with the V.F.W., then coming out of retirement, became a full-time employee from 1995-1997. Becoming a Mason in 1977, he served as Worshipful Master of Temple Lodge #6, past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of NM, most illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal & Select Masters of N.M., Grand King of the Royal Arch Masons of NM, Past Sovereign of the Red Cross of Constantine, past Master, Lodge of Research, Grand Governor of Sovereign College of North America, Scottish Rites, Shriners. In the Scottish Rite, he was coroneted with the 33rd degree. Louis was instrumental in securing funding to those in need of medical services from the Eye Foundation. The focus of his life after retirement was in community service with the following organizations: President of American Red Cross, Olsten Health Services, La Zarzuela de Alburquerque; Vice-President of the Lions Club; Board Member of Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence, Private Industry Council, March of Dimes; and member of AMVETS Post #7, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2951, and American Legion Post #99. Rosary was recited on Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior. Interment of cremains will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Visitations were held yesterday, 6:30 p.m., at Church of the Risen Savior. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, September 28, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at York Rite Masonic Temple, 3400 Aztec Road NE. Goss -- Claire B. Goss, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, September 25, 2000, after a short illness. She was born August 6, 1910, in Morristown, NJ. A resident of Albuquerque since 1953, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the United States, Mexico and Canada with their Airstream Trailer and later by coach. She was talented in many hand and fiber arts, especially hand weaving, specializing in colonial pattern weaving. A member of La Mesa Presbyterian Church, she served as a deacon, and at one time, was a member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank; and her son, Donald. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Marrs; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her many wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m. in Carter Hall, La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, with Rev. Trey Hammond of La Mesa Presbyterian Church officiating. Hardy -- Gloria M. Hardy, age 73, died on Thursday evening, September 27, 2000. Mrs. Hardy is survived by her sisters, Bertha White of Carlsbad, NM, Aurora Martinez and her husband, Carlos Hector, Josephine Runnels and her husband, Robert of Norfolk, WV, Margaret Dye of San Antonio, TX; her brothers, Charlie Romero and his wife, Bertha, Horace Romero and his wife, June of Weatherford, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Kingston -- Mettie C. Kingston, 95, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2000 in Bowie, MD at her grandson's home, where she had been living the past three years. Ms. Kingston, a native of Fulton, KY, came to Albuquerque in 1924 with her husband, David H. Kingston, and had been a resident since that time. In addition to her grandson, Bill Kingston of Bowie, MD, her immediate family members include Sharon Watkins of Rockport, TX; three great-grandchildren, Michelle Brandt, Anthony Watkins and Christopher Watkins; and two great-great-grandchildren, Michael Brandt and Reiney Brandt. She is also survived by her brother, former U.S. Rep. E.S. (Johnny) Walker of Albuquerque. Mrs. Kingston was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lew Wallace Chapter; Daughters of the Nile; Eastern Star; and PEO, Chapter V. She was also a member of the Central United Methodist Church and assisted in founding its Friendly Bible Class. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2000. Pallbearers are Richard Steele, William Marten, Clemens Charlatan, Ernest Lopez, and Milton Godwin. John Marshall is an Honorary Pallbearer. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Lippke -- Ruth Magdalena Lippke, 81, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2000 at home in Albuquerque after a lengthy illness. She was born August 22, 1919 in Plauen, Saxony, Germany, the only daughter of Ernst and Paula Landschultz. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years in January of this year and by her parents and her infant daughter, Edith. She is survived by her son, Michael Rudolf and his wife Rebecca and last born son Mark Daniel; daughter Dorothea (Angela Stone) and her husband John Stone; grandchildren Andrew Casares, Michael Allen and his wife Trina and their newborn son, Seven West; David Nathan and Christine Elaine and her husband Jeff Hansen and their four children, Meaghan, Heather, Jeffrey and Emily, who all adored her. Ruth was a devoted mother and wife who loved her husband and children. Ruth served a successful mission for the L.D.S. Church (Mormon) in Berlin where she also served joyfully in numerous positions of leadership and responsibility. Ruth and family escaped from East Germany and came to her beloved America in 1952. Ruth became a naturalized American citizen in 1956. The family settled in Albuquerque in 1958 and Ruth received her nursing license shortly thereafter, which profession she held for decades. Ruth gave countless hours of her time, energy and service to her family and others and gave of her substance freely, never expecting to be paid back. Her family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ came first in her life. Her name and her family's name is engraved on the American Wall of Honor on Ellis Island by N.Y.C. Her passing will leave a void in the life of her family and friends and is a link with a world we will never know. The sorrow of her loss is mitigated by the joy in knowing that she is now with her husband, Rudolf, and will go on to eternal joy and perfection forever, having been married in the Holy Temple of God for time and eternity long ago. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. A short Memorial Service with Bishop Marlin McNeil presiding will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th at the Haines St. Chapel, 5709 Haines NE.

Lucero -- John G. Lucero, 83, beloved father and grandfather, was called home Monday, September 25, 2000. Mr. Lucero was born in Las Vegas, NM to the late John G. Sr. and Ella Lucero; he was a resident of Albuquerque; a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church; a member of the St. Vicente de Paul Society and of the Meat Cutters Union. He is survived by his loving daughter, Anna Padilla Morgan of Albuquerque; his precious grandchildren, Lawrence Padilla, Rita Raley, Marie Padilla, Cecilia Padilla, Lorretta Padilla, Yvonne Ulibarri, and Brandy Lucero; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Raley, Antonio, John Paul and Simon Ulibarri, Jason, Justin and Rachel Padilla. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, and those who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be conducted this morning, 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Moore -- Imogene Moore, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, passed away September 27, 2000, at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Moore. She is survived by her sister, Evadean Nafus and her husband, Raymond; nephew, Bobby Nafus and wife, Judy; niece, Penny Nafus, Chip Wilson; grandnephews, Rob, Shari, Kurtis, Craig Nafus, Brandon and Tyler Nafus, Leon, Diana, Brima Nafus; nieces, Carrie and Vanessa Nafus; and many more relatives. Mrs. Moore, along with her husband, Roy, drove trucks in the 1940 and '50s. Later she managed apartments. She was a member of Woodbrine Chapter No. 7380 OES. Mrs. Moore will be missed by all. He is survived by his daughters, Thelma Foster of Albuquerque and Mary Lou Bierman and husband, Dick of Muscatine, IA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Negus was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie L. Negus; and daughter, Betty Jean Musgraves. He retired after 25 years with Sandia National Laboratories. Mr. Negus was a member of Highland Assembly of God Church. Graveside services will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Lemuel M. Boyles officiating. Plunkett -- G. John Plunkett, left this life September 26, 2000. He was born in Barton, VT in 1924. A longtime San Francisco resident before moving to Albuquerque 5 years ago to be near his sister, Olive P. Moses and the extended family including his nieces, Joanne Moses Bagley and Alice Moses Waskow who preceded him in death. Proud to be an alum of Hamilton College and received the Bronze Star as an Army Messenger during WWII. Arrangements are being made through Sunrise Society of NM. Prindible -- Kevin Gerard Prindible, 42, died of cardiac arrest Sept. 22, 2000, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Mr. Prindible was born Dec. 30, 1957, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a 1977 graduate of Parkway North High School in Creve Coeur, Mo., and had additional studies in art. He worked as a graphic artist and was the 1979 recipient of the Art Institute of Atlanta Purchase Award. Kevin and his wife, Wendy, were residents of the Albuquerque area from 1990 through 1996. They moved to Alaska in April, settling in Eagle River. His family wrote:"Kevin was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since November 29, 1986. He enjoyed ethnic cooking, collecting Native American Art, painting and illustrating. He loved the outdoors, camping and hiking, motorcycles and cars. Kevin had the ability to give love and to receive love with a unique sense of humour." His cremains will be scattered over Glacier National Park in Montana. Survivors include his wife, Wendy of Eagle River; his mother, Helen L. Gieseking and her husband, Ed; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Barb Prindible; brother-in-law, Fred Cowell; sisters and brothers-in laws, Pat and Dick Curtis, Mary Helen and Peter Rich, and Peggy and Todd Myers of Santa Fe, NM; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives; and his dogs, Lucy, Elvis, Moses and Sally. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Red Cross or the charity of the donor's choice.

Tabet -- Chris A. Tabet, 37, a resident of El Cerro Loop, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 26, 2000. He was a member of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome and a charter member of the Elk Lodge of Belen. Chris was an avid supporter of the Los Lunas Young Athletics League, always being there for our youth. He was well known as an area businessman, owning and operating Tabet Trucking Co. and Los Lunas Sand & Gravel. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Laura Hadaway; paternal grandfather, Joe Tabet; and his brother-in-law, Dennis Torres, both in 1999; and one niece, Trinity Sloan. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Cindy A., of the family home; three precious children who were the love of his life, Clinton Anthony, Craig Addison, and Cayla Ashley; his parents, Herman and Betty Tabet of Belen; three brothers, Jim Sloan of Belen, Larry Tabet and his wife, Kelly, of Los Lunas; and Jay Tabet and his wife, Brenda, of Belen; one sister, Debbie Tabet of Las Cruces; paternal grandmother, Lily Tabet of Belen; sister-in-laws, Sylvia Torres, Theresa Landavazo and husband, Fred; Lisa Bustamante and husband, Rodney, Tina Baca and husband, Chris; brother-in-laws, Raymond Aragon and wife, Yolanda, Christopher and Dallas Hawks; mother-in-law, Dolores Hawks; father-in-law, Leroy Bustamante and his wife, Sydney; and his Godchildren, Tera Landavazo and Keith Hershfield. Wessel -- Gayle S. Wessel, a resident of Albuquerque for over 21 years, died earlier this week. Gayle is survived by her sons, Matthew A. Wessel and Michael J. Wessel and wife, Christine, all of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Iliana M. Wessel of Albuquerque; parents, Arnold and Geraldine Bekemeyer of St. Louis, MO; brother, Bruce Bekemeyer and wife, Marilyn of St. Louis, MO; sister, JoAnn Loring of Louisville, KY; and brother, Kevin G. Bekemeyer and wife, Sharon of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Gayle will be remembered for her love of animals and birds, and her granddaughter, Iliana. Cremation has taken place.
