Aregood -- Mrs. Eloisa M. (Lopez) Aregood died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 85. Mrs. Aregood was a member of the Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Lopez; sisters, Placida Garcia and Benigna Garcia and husband, Frank Aregood. Mrs. Aregood is survived by her nephews, Jose Antonio Garcia and wife, Margaret of Albuquerque, and Alfonso Garcia of Sacramento, CA; and nieces, Frances Candelaria, Betty Gallegos and husband, Mike, Rita Garcia and husband, Telesfor, Elesta Griego, Mary Martinez, all of Albuquerque, Mary Jane Humphrey of California; and best friend, Lucy Horner and Juan. Funeral Services for Mrs. Aregood will be held on Friday at the San Jose de Duranes Mission Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Garcia, Jose A. Garcia, John Candelaria, Jason Candelaria, Vincent Gallegos and Christopher Gallegos. Garcia -- Gabriel G. Garcia, age 80, passed away Tuesday morning, September 12. He was born November 2, 1919 in Guy, New Mexico. He had been a resident of Corrales for the past eight years. Mr. Garcia retired from AT&SF Railroad on June 1, 1985; he was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Polly Garcia; and eight children, Gabe and Theresa Garcia of Gallup, David P. and Kathy Garcia of Albuquerque, Cathy and Kraig Ogdon of Las Lunas, Anna and Frank Martinez of Gallup, Robert and Barbara Garcia of Gallup, Patt Garcia and Robert Blasko of Hillsboro, OR, Diana and Paul Chavez of Gallup, and Stephen Garcia of Corrales. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, Gabe Jr., Joey, Ricky, Paul, Sarah, Annice, Mark, Gabrielle, John, Bernadette, Christina, Robert Jr., Rhiannon, and Dylan; and four great-grandchildren, Kavae, Aneles, Julie, and Christopher. A Rosary service given at Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., in Rio Rancho, will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14. Funeral Mass given by Father Galli will be at San Ysidro Catholic Church, in Corrales, on Friday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial services at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Gutierrez -- Tim M. Gutierrez, 84, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on September 12, 2000. He is survived by daughters, Lita, Yolanda, Erlinda and husband, Severo, Roberta and husband, Ron, Maxine, Cordelia and husband, Charles; sons, Bernie and wife, Tomi, Martin and wife, Ramona, Raymond and wife, Jacquie; a special grandson, Tony; sisters, Lena Connally and Sarah Torrez; 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; daughters-in-law, Ramona and Delores; and son-in-law, Joe Sweeten. Henze -- Grace Elizabeth, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2000. She was born to Albert and Regina Salzman on June 21, 1928 in San Antonio, TX. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lee Henze and four children; Mark Henze and wife, Alicia of Ft. Worth, TX; Matthew Henze and wife, Patricia of Kernersville, NC, Sharon Burnett and husband, William of Plano, TX, and Diane McDonald of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Henze Cooper, Christopher and David Henze, Erin and Lyndsey Burnett, Kristyn and Emily McDonald; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Christina, and Nicholas Cooper; sisters, Marjorie Large of Houston, TX, Patricia Parma and husband, Edwin, Irene Reinhard and husband, Erwin, and Imogene Foreman and husband, Michael, all of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Regina Salzman and brother, Melvin Salzman. Mrs. Henze was a schoolteacher for the Albuquerque Public Schools until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church where she was active with St. Vincent de Paul Society. Lamude -- Dr. Diane Furno Lamude, 54, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, September 8, 2000, at her home. She is survived by her two sisters, Marie Van Walleghem and husband, Jack of Chifton, NJ and Alberta L. Repko of Meadville, PA; and one brother, Timothy Furno and wife, Susan of Flint, MI. Dr. Lamude was preceded in death by her father, Albert Furno; mother Mary McCarthy Furno; and also some aunts and uncles. She was born on February 25, 1946 in Meadville, PA. Dr. Lamude received her Master's degree in Communications from the University of New Mexico and then her Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1988. After receiving her doctorate, she returned to Albuquerque as an Associate Professor of Communications at UNM, also serving on the department's Executive Committee. Dr. Lamude published various articles in several professional journals including ¯Burnout and Managers¯ Tactics of Influence¯ in Perceptual and Motor Skills, which she co-wrote with her former husband, Kevin Lamude; ¯Media Consumption of Nostalgic Products among Past, Present, and Future Types¯ in Southwestern Mass Communications Journal; Dynamics of Mass Communication: An Introduction, for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company; and ¯O.J. Simpson as Mass Spectacle¯, a book chapter in her forthcoming book. She enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with her rescued animals and taking her dogs for walks. She also enjoyed cooking, movies, traveling and golf. Dr. Lamude was formerly a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Meadville, PA. Services will be held Sunday, 12:30 p.m., at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. Committal services will take place at the chapel of St. Brigids Cemetery, followed by a brief gathering at St. Mary's Center at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Lucero -- Dorothy Jean Lucero, age 58, of San Antonio, TX, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2000. She was born May 4, 1942 in Albuquerque, NM where she lived most of her life. Mrs. Lucero was an avid gardener and animal lover. She also volunteered at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens as well as the Animal Humane Association in Albuquerque. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dale. Survivors include her husband, Larry Lucero of San Antonio; two sons, Michael Gnerich and wife, Karen, and Steve Gnerich and wife, Beth; three granddaughters, Amy Gnerich, Julie Gnerich and Calista Gnerich, all of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Charles Dale and wife, Linda of Phoenix, AZ; and mother, Zora Dale of Albuquerque, NM. Services will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque on Friday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. Martinez -- Nick Urioste Martinez, born in 1918, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2000. He is survived by his beloved companion, Eileen Cole; children John, Nicole, and Joel Martinez, and sister, Priscilla De Tevis. Nick was born in La Manga, a small adobe village in Northern New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque where he attended UNM, majoring in biology. He then moved to St. Louis and Chicago where he became a nationally ranked handball player and finally returned to his native New Mexico. He was a veteran of World War II, an accomplished singer, entertainer and guitarist, a superb chef and gardener. He shared his joy of good food, beautiful music, humor and looving companionship with so many people throughout his life. Those of us who have known Nick give thanks that he was a part of our lives. A small family celebraation of Nick's life will be held on Friday, September 15, 2000.

Nanez -- Christopher "Chris" Michael Nanez, 24, a resident of Meadowlake, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2000. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Los Lunas and graduated from Belen High School in 1994. Chris was employed as a certified tech-mechanic at Motor Car Mall in Los Lunas for three years. He was preceded in death by one sister, Malisha Marie Nanez in 1976; paternal grandfather, Benito Nanez in 1984; maternal grandparents, Juanita Perez in 1969, and Jose Perea in 1987. Chris is survived by his devoted wife of five years, Judith of the family home; his parents, Robert Jose Nanez of Belen, and Maria and Ramon Hernandez of El Cerro; one sister, Patrulia Nanez; two brothers, Robert and Gabriel Nanez, both from Belen; paternal grandmother, Francisca Nanez of Los Lunas; step-grandmother, Mary Hernandez; step-uncle, Lorenzo Hernandez; step-aunt, Rosa Hernandez; his two nephews, Michael and Chris Nanez of Meadowlake; one nephew who is expected any day, Joseph Isaac Christopher Nanez Garcia; and his very special friends, Mario Orosco, Jason Garcia, and Dan Hunter. Nollen -- Edna H. Nollen, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died Monday, September 11, 2000 after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her two sons, and daughters-in-law, Elwood E. Alexanderson and his wife, Mary of Albuquerque and Elbert O. Alexanderson and his wife, Patricia of Pottstown, PA; five grandchildren, Russell D. Alexanderson and wife, Pamela of Albuquerque, Ellen M. Wilson of Rio Rancho, Tracy Knitter of Pottstown, PA, James Alexanderson and wife, Kathy of Highland, IN and Rebecca Alexanderson of Phoenix, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Taryn and Lari Wilson of Rio Rancho, Trey and Wes Alexanderson of Rio Rancho, JenniferAlexanderson of Pottstown, PA, and Thomas Alexanderson of Highland, IN; a half-brother, Harry Kledzik of Fremont, OH; and a half-sister, Helen Ball of Benice, CA; plus numerous nieces and nephews in Indiana, Florida, Tennessee and California. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Emil V. Alexanderson and her second husband of 17 years, Jacob A. Nollen. Edna was born in Chicago, Il on October 24, 1906, spent her childhood in Maumee, OH, and later moved to Hammond, IN, where she met and married her first husband, Emil V. Alexanderson in 1929. She retired from Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in 1961 after 26 years of service. Edna was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, Illinois Bell Telephone Pioneers in Chicago, IL and the Zia Telephone Pioneers in Albuquerque. The family particularly wishes to thank the staffs of Care-Free Living, 10916 Juan Tabo Place NE in Albuquerque and Lovelace Hospice for their kind help throughout Edna's illness. Perea -- Kenneth C. Perea, 42, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2000. He was a Los Lunas High graduate and later attended Highlands University for two years, receiving his diploma from Albuquerque TVI as a draftsman. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976-1978 and later with the Los Lunas Police Department in 1979. Trying out his different interests, Kenneth also worked as a nurse's aide at Sunridge Care and Rehabilitation in Belen. He was employed by Eul & Lopez Engineering Firm as a draftsman and was responsible for drafting beautiful homes in Valencia County. Kenneth's son, Kenneth Jr., and his sister, Anita Perea Munoz, preceded him in death. He is survived by his parents, Henry and Molly Perea; his one special daughter, Leeann; two brothers, Matthew, Leonard and wife, Vivian; loving nephews, Carlos, Michael, Andrew, Aaron; and one special niece, Rayanna. He is also survived by his many loving aunts and uncles. Kenneth was a very caring person and always had a great amount of compassion for those who knew him. With regard to Kenneth's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2000, 7:30 p.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Potvin -- Margaret Catherine Potvin, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Sunday, September 10, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Mary E. Muller and husband, Pete of Walnut Creek, CA, Martha A. Reich and husband, William of Red Oak, TX, and Michelle C. Weddell and husband, Peter of San Jacinto, CA; sons, Louis J. Pitvin and wife, Jennifer of Galloway, OH, Laurence J. Potvin and wife, Barbara of Payson, AZ, and Gary M. Potvin of Albuquerque; sisters, Winnie Anderson and Mildred Jaster, both of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Snow -- Philip Gene Snow, 51, a resident of New Mexico since 1969, died Monday, September 11, 2000. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Gloria Snow of Sun City, AZ; companion, Mary Ann Snow; son, Thomas Allen Snow, both of Vallecitos; sisters, Ruth Ann White of Tacoma, WA and Gale Snow of Chula Vista, CA; brother, H. Turrietta -- Mr. Eloy Turrietta, 62, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 12, 2000. Eloy is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn Turrietta; one daughter, Donnette Hart and husband, Pat; step-daughter, Jana Lopez; two sons, Anthony Turrietta and wife, Stephanie and Raymond Turrietta; his parents, Canuto and Teresita Turrietta; four sisters, Marie Bernal, Julia Chavez, Margaret Hart and husband, Dave, Helen Oates and husband, Edward; two brothers, Vincent Turrietta and wife, Pauline and Fernando Turrietta; two grandchildren, Nicholas Turrietta and Kyle Lopez; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eloy was preceded in death by his brother, Desiderio Turrietta. Eloy was a member of the Catholic Church, retired from Albuquerque Fire Department (1986), after twenty five years of service, a former barber, painter, santero, a New Mexico tin work artist and a mariachi. He will be missed greatly by all. A Visitation will be Thursday evening in the St. Theresa Church, 300 Mildred NW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father John Plans. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Chavez, Richard Turrietta, Paul Turrietta, Steven Turrietta, Patrick Ortiz and Mark Aranda. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Chavez, Desi Turrietta and all of his grandchildren.
