Campbell -- Victor Richard Campbell, 32, a resident of Old Town, died May 31, 2000. He is survived by his son, Thomas Richard Campbell; fiancee, Cindy Lopez; mother, Bernadette C. Nevarez; father and step-mother, Victor H. and Rose Campbell; brothers, Brian Campbell and Noel Nevarez; sister, Danielle Campbell; step-sisters, Antoinette Lesperance and Kelly Medina; great-aunts and uncles, Rose Zamora, Lelo (Aurelio) Montoya, Rose Gutierrez, and Eddie and Carmen Perea; the family of his fiancee; and many cousins, family members and friends. A special beloved thank you to his great-aunt and uncle, Cleto and Mela Duran for their never ending love. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Richard and Flossie Cordova; and grandmother, Mary D. Chavez. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his big smile, and his love of Old Town. Victor loved his family and friends, but most of all his beloved Meiko. Dearmond -- Lee DeArmond, 72, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, May 22, 2000. He is survived by his sons, Eugene Gordon DeArmond and wife, Susan, of Las Cruces, NM, Mark Dwayne DeArmond and wife, Carol of Richmond, VA, Clifton Nile DeArmond and wife, Stacy of Sauk Rapid, MN, and Phillip Ross DeArmond and wife, Tami of Los Lunas, NM; daughters, Darlene Burdine of Colbert, OK and Debra Kay Kimbrough of Salt Lake City, UT; 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Billy DeArmond; sisters, Louise Huffines and Elaine Lawson and husband, James; special love of 13 years, Millie Cox; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mae DeArmond; daughter, Sharon Lee Bahling; and grandson, Mark Dwayne DeArmond, Jr. Lee was a member of the New Mexico Fiddlers Association and attended Faith Lutheran Church. Erickson -- For 28 years, Scott Erickson celebrated his life, growing up in Hawaii until the age of six; he grew to love the islands and the ocean. Scott returned to Albuquerque and completed 12 years of school, graduating from Sandia High School in 1990. Shortly after graduation, he returned to Hawaii. Upon returning to Albuquerque in 1993, he met the love of his life, Lori Diamond. They were married six years and were expecting their first child, a baby boy in October. On Memorial Day they died at the scene in a tragic car accident. Scott was loved by all and never met a stranger. He had no boundaries. If you were fortunate enough to have him touch your life, you would know he loved you unconditionally. Scott is survived by his mother, Christine Montgomery Demijohn and husband, Joseph; father, Raymond Erickson; brother, Eddie Erickson; sister, Hollie Roerick and husband, Mark; nephew, Alexander Roerick; niece, Christine Roerick; brother, Joe Demijohn, Jr., sister, Ann Demijohn Murray; grandmothers, Thelma Montgomery and Vi Erickson; grandmother-in-law, Eve Monson; aunt, Ann Montgomery; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Montgomery; and grandfather and fishing buddy, Walter Erickson. Erickson -- Lori Diamond Erickson, 25, born October 28, 1974 in New Orleans, LA, died May 29, 2000. She was born to David L. Diamond and Deborah Marendt Diamond. Lori was a good student and a happy child. Tragedy struck in 1987 when Lori was orphaned. She moved to Albuquerque where she lived with her grandmother, Eve Monson. Lori graduated from La Cueva High School in 1992. She met Scott in 1993 and they were married on February 26, 1994. They were married six years and were expecting their first child, a baby boy in October. Lori was employed for several years by United Airlines as a flight attendant. She loved animals and spent time finding homes for stray pets. Lori is survived by her grandmother, Eve Monson; aunt and uncle, John and Vicki Maenchen; cousin, Molly Maenchen; and several great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, with Dr. Paul Debenport and Rev. Carl Soderburg officiating. Hands -- Mary M. Hands, 49, a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, died, Wednesday, May 31, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hands; daughters, Monica and Angela Hands of Albuquerque; son, li'l Jerry Hands; siblings, Tom Morgan of Albuquerque, Patrick Morgan and wife, Kay of Colorado; Hope Kile and husband, Robert of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a Special Education teacher at John Adams Middle School. She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts. Mary was aťCuddler at the UNMH Neonatal Unit. She spent most of her time caring greatly for her children and husband. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Parish with Father Frank Prieto, Celebrant. Honeyfield -- Wanda M. Honeyfield, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. She is survived by her son, Steven W. For many years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Webster Insurance Co. in Albuquerque. Hultberg -- Rose Hultberg, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, passed away peacefully on May 22nd. Rose was born in Yatesboro, PA. Her husband, Stanley Sr. preceded her in death in 1965. Rose retired from Sears after 25 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Hill and husband, Ernie of Lakewood, CO; son, Stan Hultberg Jr. and wife, Denise of Highland Ranch, CO and son, Fred Hultberg of Albuquerque; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Helmick of Durango, CO; eight grandchildren, Diane Morgan of Littleton, CO, Danny Goodale of Keystone, CO, Mark Hultberg of San Jose,CA, Cara Hultberg of San Diego, CA, Michelle Obermaier of Rio Rancho, Christopher Lewis of Highland Ranch, CO, Brett Hultberg of Phoenix, AZ, Jase Hultberg of Albuquerque; and six great-grandchildren, Andy and Jacob Morgan of Littleton, CO, Kylie Goodale of Keystone, CO, and CJ, Curtis and Cuyler Obermaier of Rio Rancho. A Mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a Memorial service was held at Sandia Springs Assisted Living Home. Cremation arrangements were done by French Mortuary. Rose was famous for her baking. She tried to make all her kids and grandkids goodies they liked. Her specialties were brownies, jam cookies, raisin cookies, english muffins, chocolate chip cookies, pies, and MM cookies. Rose's first love was bowling. She bowled a 200 game when she was 83. She also loved to play bridge and bingo. There will be a Graveside Memorial service, where all of her family will gather on July 1st. We will gather at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. Logan -- Dorothy Mumford Logan, born in Woodston, KS in 1911, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrill Block and husband, T.J.; grandson, John Block and wife, Jean; granddaughters, Jennie Taylor and husband, Phil, Pam Rodriguez and husband, Miguel; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Taylor and Amelia Rodriguez; and three great-grandsons, Zachary Taylor and fiancee, Sarah Godec, William Rodriguez, and Logan Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and her husband of 49 years, John A. Logan. Mrs. Logan graduated from NM Western University in Silver City in 1928 and earned a Master of Arts at UNM in 1966. She taught English for two years at Estancia High School, and five years at St. Mary's High School in Albuquerque. She was an English professor at UNM for 11 years. She was a charter member and adult Sunday school teacher at Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Logan resided at Manzano del Sol where she co-edited the monthly newsletter. She also enjoyed leading a writing class. Mrs. Logan loved the Lord, her family and friends. She said,ťLife is very sweet. After any sorrow, loss or hurt, I still feel and say that life is very sweet.ť Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3715 Silver Ave. SE, with Rev. Navarro -- Alice Louise Navarro, age 59, passed away suddenly while vacationing in California on May 30, 2000. Valdez -- Christal M. Valdez, 18, a resident of Albuquerque, died in a car accident in Arizona with her cousin, Lisa Reyes, Tuesday, May 30, 2000. She is survived by her mother, Genevieve Valdez; brother, Michael Valdez; half-sister, Andrea Valdez; half-brother, Jeremy Valdez; grandfather; Maclovio Mac Olivas; grandparents, Ercie and Floyd Valdez; seven uncles; eight aunts; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Valdez in 1990; and grandmother, Mary Elva Olivas in 1999. Christal graduated from Del Norte High School this year. Christal's love was being with children and had planned on entering college to earn a degree in social work. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church. Christal loved her Spanish culture and traditions and immersed herself with it. She was always giving of herself and had recently begun thinking of her future. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family takes comfort in knowing that she is in His arms. Williams -- Ernest H. Williams, age 65, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. He was born October 2, 1934 in Ardmore, OK to Ernest Howell and Marth Lou Williams. He attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate and law degrees. Mr. Williams started his law practice in Las Cruces in 1958 and held several area positions which included City Judge, District Attorney from 1963 to 1975 and was also a District Judge for the area. Mr. Williams was still a practicing attorney at the time of his death. He was also on governors Bruce King and Tony Anaya's Organized Crime Committee. Survivors include his wife, Bertha L. Williams of the family home; daughters, Beth Ann McBride and husband, Bob of Albuquerque, Diane Morrow and husband, Harold of Deming, Suzanne Kammann and husband, Dan of Minneapolis, MN; step-children, Diana Billings and husband, Don, Lahri K. Singh, all of Las Cruces, John Singh and wife, Connie of Santa Fe; brother, Herbert Williams of Virginia; sister, Natalie Andrews and husband, Warner of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Rori McBride of Albuquerque, Ashlee and Dustin Morrow of Las Cruces, Jordan Morrow of Deming, Christopher Tirre, Lawrence Vigil, Gabriel Rios, all of Las Cruces, Amand Rios of Albuquerque, and Jonathon Singh of Santa Fe.
