Abreu -- Conrado Abreu passed on Thursday morning with his family at his side, at the age of 91. He was born in Mora, NM in 1908 to Emelia and Anectio Abreu. He came to Albuquerque when he was five years old, where he settled and married the late Concha Romero Abreu for 66 years. He retired after 50 years of service with Springer Transfer Company, where he was known to be the best truck driver that ever worked for Springer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Concha; son, Lawrence; daughter, Isabella Maria Abreu; and brother, Pablo Barrera. He lives in loving memory with his daughter, Emily and husband, Albert; grandchildren, Concepcion, Michael, Katherine, Lorenzo and wife, Tisha, Vincent Leon, Albert Ray and wife, Charlotte Teupell, Barbara and Al Saiz, John, Alfred and wife, Edwina, Conrad and wife, Annette, Carmella and husband, Gabriel and also, Julian Abreu. Conrado's great-grandchildren include, Albert, Isabella and Veronica Ortega, Alex and Sheldon Finley, Stephen and Michelle Teupell, Armelina, Lorenzo, Andrea, Jonathan and Ashley Teupell, Adam, Elisha Teupell and Conselo Martinez, Janelle, Brittany and Alfred Jr. Abreu, Andreas, Angelicia and Adrianna Abreu, Gabriella and Kayla Benavidez. The great-great-grandchild, Sabrina Teupell will miss him deeply. Mr. Abreu was father to Pete Romero and wife, Clorinda and children, Pete Jr., Natalie, Johnny Ray, Marie and Clarence. A special cousin, David Chavez will live forever with his memory. He will be missed and thought of every day by all. He has one surviving brother, Ramon and wife and family; sisters-in-law, Julia Benavidez and Pefania Barrera. He is also survived by newly discovered Abreu cousins from Las Vegas, NM. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice for their excellent service, especially his nurse, Kathy Corcoran, with special thanks to Lorraine Goss. He will be thought of every day and missed immensely. Funeral Services for Mr. Abreu will be held on Monday at the San Ignacio Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Teupell, Gabriel Benavidez, Albert Ortega, Lorenzo Teupell, Alfred Abreu Jr., David Chavez, Eddie Abreu Jr. and Fernando Waseta. Honorary pallbearers will be all his great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mr. Abreu will be recited on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. at San Ignacio Church. Betz -- Madonna Daniel Betz of Corrales, NM, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 10, 2000. She was a former resident of New York City where she worked as a trader for Goldman Sachs before retiring to Albuquerque seven years ago. She was born July 7, 1938 in McLeansoboro, Illinois, beloved daughter of John M. (deceased) and Deana Daniel. She is survived by her loving husband, King Betz of Corrales; daughter, Lauren Kivler and husband, Daniel of Tijeras, NM; two grandsons, Jackson and Danny; three step children, Robert, Stephen and Sarah Betz of Centralia, Illinois; sister, Jacklyn Adams; and brother, John Daniel of Albuquerque; and her many friends. Since her retirement to New Mexico, she has pursued her career as an accomplished artist and was a member of the Rio Grande Art Association, in addition to other art groups. Caudle -- William"Bill" T. Caudle, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma Caudle; daughter, Sharon Caudle, both of the family home; granddaughter, Pamela Archuleta of Los Lunas; and numerous brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews. Mr. Caudle was preceded in death by his son, Robert Caudle. Services will be held Monday, 11:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Lemuel M. Doyle -- Thomas Patrick Doyle, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since the 1960's, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, five days after his 71st birthday, after a short bout of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Puccini Doyle; sister-in-law, Adelina Puccini Timofeyew; brother-in-law, Oreste L. Puccini and his wife, Virginia, all of Albuquerque; close friends, Kenneth"Lefty" Fisher, Raymond Griego and Ken and Kate Piper; and many nieces, nephews of Albuquerque, and many friends of Albuquerque, Ohio and Kentucky. Mr. Tom Doyle was preceded in death by his mother, Amy Creighton; father, Robert Doyle; and brother, Bob Doyle. He was a comedian, part of the famous duo, Doyle and Dedman of the Harmonicats. Mr. Tom Doyle was a talent promoter with offices in the historic Franciscan Hotel. He was a member of the American Legion Post 313. He was also a coach for the Albuquerque Boys Club basketball team, starting in 1977. Mr. Tom Doyle and his wife owned the country western nightclub, the Captains Cove, which had a 3 1/2 acre fishing lake and picnic grounds in Coldsprings, KY; the first Monterrey Tavern in Delhi, OH and the other one in Bernalillo, NM; the Blarney Stone in the Manzano Mountains, NM; and managed, with his wife, the El Rey Liquor Establishment and the Golden West Saloon, and managed rental properties. Mr. Tom Doyle also owned several racehorses, some with his partner, George Katsaros, was involved with New Mexico horse racing, and helped to promote casinos at the racetracks. He was very active in the Democratic Party. Mr. Tom Doyle was a licensed real estate agent in New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE with Fr. Edmundo Rodriguez, S.J. reciting. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW with Fr. Edmundo Rodriguez, S.J. Celebrant. Duran -- Carlos Leo Duran, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 11, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Sostena Duran of the family home; children, Carlos Duran and wife, Denise, Leo Duran and fiance, Terry Leal, Rennee Duran and husband, Charles Ortiz and Andrew Duran and wife, Joann; grandchildren, Carlos, Diego, Lisa, Catalina, Sacheena and Marimita; sister, Bertha Estrada; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Flora Barnum Duran. Carlos taught at APS and retired after 30 years of service, touching many lives in the South Valley. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. Carlos also had a great sense of humor and loved fishing. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Santuario de San Martin, 8321 Camino San Martin SW, with Father Dan Farris, Celebrant. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Dushane -- Mr. James Douglas DuShane, 82, a resident of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at the home of daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Alfred Vasquez. Mr. DuShane was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Roswell and 43 years a member of St. Mark's on the Mesa Church, while residing in Albuquerque. He devoted 43 years of his life, in Albuquerque, at Van Atta Laboratories and community service with the Elks Club. Mr. DuShane was born August 26, 1917, in Winchester, Virginia, to the late Virginia Faulkner Fuller and James Ross DuShane. Also May Faulkner and Hogan Douglas Fuller, his grandparents. Mr. DuShane is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Glass DuShane; daughter, Virginia D. Vasquez and her husband, Al Vasquez of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Shelly Bergen of Durango, Christopher McAdoo of Tucson, AZ, Amy McAdoo of Albuquerque, and her two children, Ashley and Jakob Pino; son, Douglas Glass DuShane and his wife, Sian of San Antonio, TX and children, Megan and Joshua DuShane. Erickson -- Margaret Yeomans Erickson, age 93, widow of Stirling C. Erickson, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away at Karrington Assisted Living St. Francis Place on February 10, 2000. Mrs. Erickson was employed at Kirtland Air Force Base and then transferred to the Naval Weapons Evaluation Facility. She retired in 1976 as the facility editor. Mrs. Erickson, the daughter of Addie Everett and William Moody Yeomans was born in Hancock, New York in 1906 and shortly thereafter moved to Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1928. After graduation, she worked as a teacher for one and a half years in the Philadelphia Public School System. She was then employed in the editorial department of Westminister Press. Her next position as an advertising copywriter for the Macmillian Publishing Company in New York City. After her husbands service in the US Army during WWII, they made their home in Denver, CO, where she was employed as the advertising manager of the Kistler Stationery Co. Mr. Erickson started government service in 1943 in Washington D.C. In the ensuing years she worked at various bases in Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Maryland and completed her government career in New Mexico. Mrs. Erickson was instrumental in founding the local Macular Degeneration Support Group in Albuquerque. She is survived by her nephews, Paul H. Yeomans of Philadelphia, Robert B. Yeomans of Savanna, Georgia and niece Romilly Liloia of Pompton Plain, NJ and their families. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, with Larry Pierson officiating. Gabaldon -- Mr. Victor S. Gabaldon, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 8, 2000. Mr. Gabaldon is survived by one son, Victor Harold Gabaldon and wife, Carmela; three sisters, Nina Olguin and husband, Adelino, Rosalia Turrietta and husband, Luciano of Las Vegas, NV and Dubbie Vigil and husband, Antonio; two brothers, Floren Gabaldon and wife, Pauline, Fidel Gabaldon and wife, Lucy; eight grandchildren, Diana, Roger, Chris, Juan, Julian, Joaquin, Nathan and Vicent; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gabaldon was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Gonzales -- Leona Fresquez Gonzales, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother has gone to be with our Lord on Friday, February 11, 2000 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on June 231, 1918 to Fidel and Emilina Fresquez in Taos, NM. At three months old she lost both her parents to influenza and lived with her grandparents for eight years and then came to live with her foster Mother, Helen Davis Baca in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1936. Leona married Eloy P. Gonzales on December 12, 1937 and they spent most of their lives in Mountainair and Estancia, NM, where they raised six children. She is survived by four daughters and son-in-law, Mary Helen Miranda of Mountainair, NM, Marian and Lorenzo Bernal of Estancia, NM, Christine Jantz of Estancia, and Victoria Gonzales of Clovis, NM; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Eloy Joe and Catherine Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM and Richard and Clorinda Gonzales of Estancia, NM; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eloy; her in-laws, Juan and Delfina Gonzales and three grandsons, Larry, Eddie and Raymond Miranda. At the age of fifty-two she went to work at the Estancia Public Schools. The first five years as a teachers aid, and then as a cafeteria cashier for fifteen years, and retired at the age of seventy-two. She loved her job and boss, Stanley Newton. Leona was talented in many crafts, cooking, baking, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and bead work. She was a great teacher and was always willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn. She loved her flowers and had a beautiful flower garden every summer. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. also at the Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 14, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Daniel Balizan officiating. Burial will follow in the Estancia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lucinda Lopez, Yvette Bernal, Sonya Weisbrot, Lorenzo Bernal, Juan Fidel Jantz, Heather Ann Jantz, and Lisa Marie Gonzales. Hall -- Minnielee E. Hall passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2000. She was preceeded in death by her husband, A. Richmond Hall in 1972 after 41 years of marriage. She was born in El Paso, Texas, on March 12, 1910. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since August of 1947. She is survived by a son, Bradford Hall; and a daughter, Minette Patten, both of Albuquerque and a daughter, Doreen Hammond of Farmington, New Mexico. She is also survived by grandchildren, Melanie Patten, Diana Montoya and husband, Kevin, Debbie Bevans, Daniel Bevans, Jeff Bevans; and several great-grandchildren. She was an avid bridge enthusiast having belonged and participated in bridge organizations for many years. No services are planned at this time; however, memorial contributions can be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch at 6209 Hendrix N.E. 87110.

Holbrook -- Edwin J. Holbrook, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque did Wednesday, February 9, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Valeria Holbrook of the family home; and niece, Florence Lucero. Mr. Holbrook was married in 1952, in Wagon Mound, NM to Valeria Kempinski. He served in the United States Amry during World War II and the Korean Conflict and retired in 1958. Mr. Holbrook then was an elementary school teacher until his retirement. Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 14, 2000, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Impaglazzio -- Ruth M. Impaglazzio, age 90, lived a full and wonderful life. She was born in Danville, PA on June 6, 1909 and passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2000. Her husband was Lt. Col. Neal H. Impaglazzio, USAF (Ret.) of Chester, PA. He died Janauary 1991. They retired after 35 years of military life and settled in Albuquerque in 1969. They did extensive traveling during his military career and also during their retirement years. They are survived by a daughter, Eleanor Lombard and husband, Evan of Albuquerque and a sons, Neal Emper and wife, Carol of Redlands, CA. They are also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services were held with interment following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Kirkpatrick -- Eloise C. Kirkpatrick, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Tuesday, February 1, 2000. She is survived by her cousin, Nancy White and husband, Michael; four daughters, Jackie and Rebecca, all of Vernal, UT. Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. Kirkpatrick in 1955. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 29, 1917. Eloise moved to Ponca City, OK in 1925. She was a graduate of Ponca City High School, class of 1936. Eloise married R.W. Kirkpatrick in October of 1937. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics, majoring in Elementary Education; she worked on her Master's degree in 1956. Eloise taught in Tuba City, AZ with the Bureau of Indian Affairs 1956-1958. She moved to Albuquerque in 1961 to teach, she taught first and second grades at Navajo and Matheson Park Elementary Schools. Eloise loved children, animals and birds. During her 30 years as a teacher, her greatest joy was seeing a child's success in using what he learned to grow and expand. During her retirement, she traveled abroad and was an avid bridge player. Lindemann -- Hazel Cole Lindemann, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1982, passed away February 3, 2000, three days prior to her 93rd birthday. Born in Chicago, the younger of two daughters of James and Marie Hawley, she there completed grammar and high school. In 1930, after working in the offices of the Wrisley Company, she married Rex L. Cole of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Hazel was an early member of the Palos Methodist Church in Palos Heights, Illinois. She loved to cook and bake, and for a number of years following the second World War, she and her husband, Rex operated a popular restaurant in Orland Park, southwest of Chicago, where she gained acclaim for her outstanding homemade pies. She was preceded in death by Rex Cole; by her older sister, Mabel; by her second husband, Fred Lindemann; and by her step-son, Ronald Lindemann. She is survived by her son, Alan Rex Cole, Colonel, USAF, retired, and daughter-in-law, Merry M. Cole of Corrales, and by their children, Scott Cole of Dallas, TX, Stacy Cole Stefan of Placerville, CA, and Merry Cole Hanson of Rio Rancho, and their five children. She also is survived by the family of her step-son, Ronald Lindemann, his widow, Marilyn of Palos Heights, IL, and their five children, and ten grandchildren. Final arrangements have been completed by the Sunrise Society of New Mexico.

Longo -- Linda Ann Longo, a resident of Tierra Grande passed away recently. She was preceded in death by her father, Rosario (Sal) Longo; and her grandmother, Catherine Girgus. She is survived by her mother, Jean Longo of Tierra Grande; her sisters, Teresa A. Longo of Tierra Grande, Elizabeth O'Donnell and her husband, John of New York, Jean Ann Kump of New York; her brothers, John Livingston and Paul Longo, both of New York; her nieces and nephews, Chris, Timothy, Anna, Rick, and Brian all of New York and her special niece Ashleigh of Tierra Grande; her grandmother, Rosemarie Hammond of California; and many aunts and uncles, also from New York. Ortega -- Mr. Jorge Ortega died Friday in Albuquerque at the age of 31. Jorge was a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years and had been residing in Roswell, NM since 1991. Price -- Triny G. Price, 84, went to walk with the Lord, on February 12, 2000. Mrs. Price was a parishioner of St. Edwin and San Ignacio Catholic Church's. Romero -- Epifanio Romero, of Truchas, New Mexico, died of kidney failure on February 4, 2000 at the age of 90. Rev. Romero was a Presbyterian minister for many years in the Mora Valley (Mora, Holman, Chacon), and in Truchas, Chimayo and Cordova. His death was preceded by the deaths by his daughter, Rafaelita, in 1988; and his wife, Alice, in 1990. He is survived by his sister, Filia of San Diego, CA; his daughter's son, Tom Trujillo of Colorado Springs; his son, James and wife, Mary, and their children, Jeremy and Alicia of Ancon, NM, and by his son, Mark of Albuquerque, and his children, James of Albuquerque and Mario, currently stationed in Lakenheath, England. Runyan -- NORMA RUNYAN September 23, 1905 - February 7, 2000 Private family committal services for Norma Runyan, 94, of Natchez, who died Monday, February 7, 2000, in Ferriday, LA, will be held at Redman Cemetery in DeQueen, Arkansas. Miss Runyan was born September 23, 1905 in Amity, the daughter of Vertal Cuedallas and Bertie Lee Parrish Runyan. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Masters degree from Columbia University in New York City, she was known as an authority in Indian education. She began her career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a teacher in Tuba City, AZ. She was appointed an education specialist and advisor for the instructional programs in the Bureau schools for Navajo students. In the mid-1950s, Miss Runyan's work in curriculum development and teaching methodology was a major influence in all of the education programs carried out by the Bureau. When she retired after 30 years of service with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, she remained involved with her specialty as a guest instructor at university workshops. After retirement, Miss Runyan moved to DeQueen, Arkansas and then Albuquerque from 1978 to 1995, prior to settling in Natchez to be with her family. Survivors include a sister, Frances R. Tumminello of Natchez; a brother, Cue Runyan Jr. of Cabot, AR; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Runyan of Shreveport, LA and Nancy Runyan of Kansas City, MO; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Sharp -- Eula Mae Sharp, 87, died January 29, 2000, in Olive Branch, MS. Mrs. Sharp was a resident of Albuquerque from 1949 to 1967. She was a retired nurse, having worked for VA Hospital here in Albuquerque. Mrs. Sharp served a term as president of the New Mexico State Nurses Association and was on a national committee on nursing standards. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Nesby Sharp; by a daughter, Ellen Staleup and her husband, Gordon; son, Wayne Sharp and his wife, Mary; and by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
