Acers -- Nadine Bradley Raines Acers, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Tuesday, December 14, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Gary Acers; children, Charles Bradley and wife, Mary Ann and Debbie Strahlendorf and husband, Roy, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jennifer Zimmer and husband, Erik, Michel McIntyre and husband, Dan, Beth Bradley, Sarah Hamblett and husband, Jonathan, Justin Strahlendorf and Brad Strahlendorf; four great-granddaughters; and sister, Juanita Kirksey of Bolivar, MO. She was preceded in death by her husbands, T.O. Bradley in 1983 and G.M. (Bud) Raines in 1989. Mrs. Acers was born in Pineville, MO on March 10, 1925. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Eastern Star. Berry -- AJ"Jay" Berry, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Tuesday, December 1999. He is survived by his son, Tim Berry and wife, Tammi; daughters, Kathy Hill and husband, Jim and Melinda Lopez and husband, Eddie, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tom Ficklin and wife, Tiffany, Scott Ficklin and wife, Jodie, Aaron, Lucas, and Emily Lopez, Kyle, Kevin, and Korey Berry; great-grandson, Keegun Ficklin; sister, Lois Young of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, in July of 1998. Mr. Berry served during WWII as a Naval Flight Instructor. He retired in 1983 after 32 years with Exxon Corporation. Brown -- Leon Brown, 64, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Jean Brown of the family home; children, Charlotte Garcia and husband, Mike of Albuquerque, Bill Brown and Barbara Crain of Los Lunas, and Dale Brown of Albuquerque; brothers, James Brown and wife, Earline of Bloomfield and Charles Brown and wife, Nancy of Navajo Dam; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Mr. Brown was a member of I.B.E.W. Local Union #611 for 42 years. He was an Electrical Inspector with the State of New Mexico for 27 years and retired in December, 1997. Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Chester T. Burt -- Raymond Laurel Burt, son of Raleigh and Alice Burt, was born May 20, 1921 and died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He was married to Virginia Elaine Burt on December 20, 1945. Ray is survived by his four children; Dennis Burt and his wife, Mary, Nancy Rogers and her husband, Mike, and Randall Burt, all of Albuquerque, and Raleigh"Chip" Burt and his wife, Lorre of Laguna Niguel, CA; seven grandchildren, Dana Nadarski, Ryan Burt, Summer Davidson, Heather Fragodt, Jennifer Rogers, Michael Rogers, Raleigh Burt; a great-grandson, Corey Davidson; brother, Jack H. Burt; and sister, Helen McCauley, both of Albuquerque. Raymond was born in Willard, NM and graduated from Albuquerque High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Elks Lodge in Albuquerque. He lived in Albuquerque most of his life and loved to hunt and fish in his"land of enchantment." He will be missed by his many friends and family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 18, 1999, at 12:00 noon, at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte NE, with Rev. Comingo -- James Mitchell Comingo, age 78, died Tuesday. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky, in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Su Chen Comingo; sons, James Haley of Harrodsburg, KY, George Comingo of Bangor, MA; daughter, Sharon Proulx of Brewer, MA; sister, Rosemary Stevenson of Seattle, WA; niece, Jennifer Stevenson of Seattle, WA. A 31 year veteran, serving in the USAF during Korea and Vietnam and the US Army in WWII, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. A member of American Legion Post 49, Life member VFW Harrodsburg, KY, Ballut Abyad Temple of the Shrine, member of Szecwan Blue Lodge #4 Taipei Taiwan, and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Valley of Taipei Orient of Taiwan, China. Flora -- Paul Arthur Flora, January 22, 1928--December 15, 1999, 7. It is with deep regret that we must inform you of the death of our beloved husband and father, Paul Arthur Flora on the 15th of December, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, D. Eileen Flora; daughters, Sharea, Collene and Tammie; his sons, Paul, Frank, Curt; and step-son, Alan; a brother, Chawncey Flora; his sisters, Eldene and John Harless, Susan and Donna; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and his father-in-law, Frank Houldsworth. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl, who passed away in 1986; also his two grandsons, Joshua and Kenneth, who passed away in 1996. T/SGT Flora spent 22 1/2 years in the United States Air Force traveling with his family all over the world. He retired in 1968. He then went to work for Tum Pane in Saudi Arabia. He pursued a career with the Solar Energy Test Facility Site at Kirtland AFB Sandia National Laboratories. He spent the last 19 years living in the community of Edgewood, but due to health problems, gave up his beloved mountain home to move to Albuquerque. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. A kind and loving soul. He loved animals and always had a kind word for all. Always going out of his way for others, whether it be fixing a car, or giving a hitch hiker a lift to where ever. His children could never need, if he knew about it and other could always find a friend. Paul, you are greatly missed and loved by those who knew you...sleep well dear heart...Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 18, 1999, 12:00 noon, at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM, with Chaplain Ron Cok officiating. Gage -- Bertrice L. Gage (Bert) passed away December 15, 1999 at Four Corners Good Samaritan Center. Bert was born in Harviell, Missouri, August 20, 1906. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Gage Sr. in December, 1993. Bert and Charlie came to Gallup in 1929. They had rental properties there for over 60 years and operated Hedges Service Station on West 66 for over 20 years. She is survived by her son, Charles C. Gage Jr. of Albuquerque; daughter, Jean Donohue Reed and husband, William (Bill) Reed of Farmington; three sisters; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Gallup with Charlie, her husband of 69 years.

Green -- Mildred M. Green, (74), died Wednesday, December 15, 1999 in Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Maricia Barber and husband, Bruce from Bowie, TX; son, Ted Green and wife, Natalie from Rio Rancho; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother, James Dryden from Alamogordo; her sisters, Barbara Young from Ruidoso, NM and Bernadine Stephens from Carlsbad, NM. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Luther A. Green in 1998. Mrs. Green, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 16 years, was active with the Bear Canyon Senior Center, the New Mexico Women's Association, and a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Green was formerly from Carlsbad, where she was a member of the Elks Club. Grover -- Keith Grover, Sr., 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, died suddenly at his home, Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ellen Warner Grover; children, Penny and husband, Bob of Albuquerque, Jon and wife, Judy, Tom and wife, Norma, all of Maryland and Keith Jr. of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Norma Airmet and husband, Elliot of this city; and sister-in-law, Esther Grover and Maryland. Mr. Grover was a Committing Magistrate in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was a long standing member and past secretary of the Musicians Union, Local #212, in Ely, NV. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Florencio Gutierrez; five children, Jeanette Morales and husband, Manuel, Ida Jaramillo and husband, Patrick, Charlie Gutierrez and wife, Margaret, Montanna and wife, Anna Gutierrez and Julie Gallegos and husband, Chris; 11 grandchildren, Shauna and husband, Chris, Natalie, Brandon, Eric, Jolene, Charles, Josie ,MiKeala, Christopher, Cassandra and Noah; five brothers, Gilbert Lucero and wife, Navolena, Candido Lucero and wife, Eufemia, Andy Lucero, Eddie Lucero and wife, Alice and Juan Lucero and wife, Vicky; three sisters, Betty Zamora and husband, Casimiro, Sarah Gutierrez and husband, Evaristo and Mary Alice Graham and husband, Ron; and many nieces, nephews and friends, who loved her very much. Mrs. Gutierrez worked for 26 years in the Banking industry. She was a member of ALTAR Rosary Society. Mrs. Gutierrez touched many lives in a very special way and will be greatly missed. Harbour -- James Lee Harbour, 36, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 14, 1999. James was born in Beaver, OK on August 6, 1963. He is survived by his mother, Ann F. Harbour of Albuquerque; brother, Virgil G. Harbour of Dallas, TX; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Roy Fitzgerald; aunt, Lucille S. Robert, all of Albuquerque; and uncle, Irvin Harbour of Booker, TX. He was preceded in death by her father, Ivan A. Harbour. James was a graduate of Highland High School. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Hutcheson -- In loving memory of Alice Lucille Hutcheson. Born August 27, 1935 in Lefors, Texas, she passed away on December 14, 1999. She was the beloved mother of Tupper Dunbar, Bobby Dunbar, Pamela Dunbar and Sonny Dunbar. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Wahleah Beck, Rosa Lee Sober, and Joseph Ivy; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband and best friend, Louie A. Dunbar Jr. Ms. Hutcheson was a loved and respected member of the Intertribal Deaf Council and the Deaf Senior Citizens Group of Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 3:30 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall on 6501 Palomas Ave. NE, in Albuquerque. The family extends their warmest appreciation for the calls, visits, concern and love expressed by friends in her last days.

Kindler -- Ensign Blaine Ryan Kindler, USN, died suddenly Saturday morning, December 11, 1999, in Newport, Rhode Island. Blaine was born January 25, 1977 in Omak, Washington, but grew up in Albuquerque. In 1995, Blaine graduated from Eldorado High School with honors. Blaine had a love for the outdoors, playing football and spending time with family and friends. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 409, member of John XXIII Catholic Community Church, a member of the National Honor Society, Youth and Government and played football at Eldorado. He received many football honors while he played for Bill Gentry's Eagles. He was a"99 graduate from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Ocean Engineering. While playing for the Midshipmen, Blaine played in the 1996 Aloha Bow. During his senior season Blaine was chosen as a pre-season Hula Bowl selection and was an All East candidate. Surviving Blaine are his parents, Don and Archie, of Albuquerque; his sister, Amanda Trout of Las Cruces; and his brother, 1st Lt. Jess Kindler of Fairbanks, Alaska. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Tom Trout and nephew, Coby and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy McLaughlin of Silver City, NM. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Maclay -- J. Dale Maclay passed away on December 15, 1999. He was born on Easter Sunday, March 27, 1932 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erin Weller Maclay and Edgar Gleim Maclay; and his sister, Erin Maclay Furman. He is survived by his son, John D. Maclay Jr. and wife, Kris; daughter, Heather Maclay Williams and husband, Ben; son, Samuel Augustus Maclay and wife, Paula of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Hayden Virginia Williams, Jon Miller Williams and Mary Martha Maclay; brother, Douglas Weller Maclay and wife, Sue of Dallas, TX; longtime, devoted friend, Esther G. Andrau; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, where he will be missed by members of the Covenant Class. He had a lifelong passion for flying and was an avid pilot, having served in the United States Army Air Corps as a second Lieutenant. His volunteer service to various organizations brought him great joy, particularly flying physicians and medical supplies to the Hospital Presbiteriano de Mainero, Villa Mainero, Mexico, which serves the poor of that rural area, and his involvement with the Harris County Aerial Law Enforcement Response Team, which provides search and rescue assistance to area law enforcement. Dale had a great love for the outdoors, and his children have many wonderful memories of trips with their father. His smile and generosity will not be forgotten. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11512 Memorial Drive. Sandoval -- Lupita (Pita) Sandoval, born December 16, 1924, daughter of Celso and Carolina Griego, went to be with the Lord, December 14, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jose Sandoval; her four children and their spouses, Sammy and wife, Denise Sandoval, JoAnn and husband, David Tijerina, Albert and wife, Maggi Sandoval, and Cindy and husband, Walter Candelaria; grandchildren, Justina Tijerina, Tanya Sandoval, Daniel and wife, Cayce Gonzales, and great-grandson, Isaiah, Jennifer Gonzales, and Sara and Stacey Sandoval. She is also survived by six brothers and three sisters. Savage -- Hulon Milford Savage, 87, of Albuquerque, died gracefully Thursday, December 15, 1999, at the home of his son, also of Albuquerque. Mr. Savage had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1983. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vonna of Albuquerque; three children, Betty and her husband, Derek of Illinois, Rox and her husband, Rick of Kansas and Tom and his wife, Pam of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Deborah, Kay, Aily, Sheldon, Sarah, Courtney and David; three great-grandchildren, Shanna, Chad and Andrea; four siblings, Beulah Sorrell and husband, Joe of California, Vivian (Wid) Burden of Colorado, Raymond Savage of Oklahoma, Marilyn and husband, Lonnie Bill of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Mr. Savage and his wife lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado for 45 years, where Mr. Savage was active as a member of the First Baptist Church and the Elks Club. He retired in 1978 as the Vice President of Operations for the Pat Griffin Company based in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Mr. Savage was a veteran of WWII and received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, APT Ribbon and Victory Ribbon. He especially enjoyed fishing, traveling, square dancing and bridge. Smith -- Charles L."Pop's" Smith, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since September of 1999, died Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at home. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Molly, in 1988; and daughter, Sybil, in 1975. White -- James Robert"Bob" White, 52, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joan E. Cox; daughter, Amanda Lyn White; grandson, Davian Alexander White; brother, Edwin Clifton White; sister, Colleen Elizabeth Thayer; and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Clifton White Jr. and Doris Lucille Henrichsen White; and sister, Kathlyn Sue White. Bob was born September 2, 1947 in Clovis, NM. He received a BBA in 1970 from Eastern New Mexico University followed an MBA in 1976. He began his career with New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department in 1970 and retired from the Department in December of 1996. During his career, he played an active role as a lobbyist for the Taxation and Revenue Department and was a member of the department's legislative team. Bob was an active member in ministry at Covenant United Methodist Church. He also served faithfully on the Board of Directors, Wesley Foundation at UNM; Albuquerque Central Camp of Gideons International; The New Mexico Walk and Kairos Ministry. Whitford -- Barry Lynn Whitford, Sr., a post-casualty of the Vietnam War, was born July 19, 1953 in Quantico, VA, the son of Herschal E. Whitford and Norma Jean Jackson Whitford. He died suddenly, Sunday, December 12, 1999 in Bernalillo County, NM. Barry grew up in Sullivan, MO, where he was an active member of Temple Baptist Church, married Paula Marie Bolin and had a son, Barry Lynn Whitford Jr. He was a member of the 105th Airborne Division in Vietnam, serving as one of very few jump medics during that war. He later worked in various hospitals in Albuquerque as a Medical Technician. At the time of his death, he was a diesel mechanic in Tijeras. Barry married Paula Ann Jones in Albuquerque in 1977 and they had a son, Casey Lynn Whitford. Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Jackson Whitford in Sullivan, MO. He is survived by his sons, Barry Lynn Whitford Jr. and wife, Lana of Sullivan, MO and Casey Lynn Whitford of Albuquerque; father, Herschal E. Whitford and step-mother, Carolyn St. Gemme Whitford of Albuquerque; brothers, Wade E. Witiuk -- Stephan Witiuk, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, went into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Christine Chavez and husband, Clifford and Sandra Ulibarri and husband, William, all of Belen; two sons, Michael Witiuk and wife, Dawn and John Witiuk and wife, Nicolle, all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, John Witiuk; two sisters, Olga Witiuk and Helen Witiuk; two sisters-in-law, Anne Marie Witiuk and Theresa Witiuk; special nephew, Larry Levine; and many other nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephan; two brothers, George and Walter. Mr. Witiuk was born in Newark, NJ. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the Corps of Engineers in the European Theater. Mr. Witiuk, a disabled veteran, was a member of V.F.W. Post 401.
