Bryant -- Charles William"Bill" Bryant, 66, of Elk City, Kansas, died Sunday at 3:16 p.m. in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital. Services will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at the Webb & Rodrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Brooks, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Matthew Wint of Wichita, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Elk City with Military Rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorials are suggested to the Elk City Methodist Church. Mr. Bryant was born October 6, 1933, in Independence, Kansas to Basil and Estella (Volz) Bryant. He attended Elk City schools, Independence Community College, and Wichita State University, where he studied mechanical engineering. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Bryant had worked as a computer analyst in Topeka, KS, Atlanta, GA, and Portales, NM, retiring at the Gas Company of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1995. Since retirement he had divided his time between Elk City and Kingwood, Texas. On November 23, 1995, in Independence, he married Georgia Hawthorne and she survives. Mr. Bryant was a member of the Elk City Methodist Church and attended the First United Methodist Church in Independence. Other survivors include a son, David C. Bryant of Kingwood, TX; and a daughter, Connie Bryant of Austin, TX.

Crepeau -- Marjorie C. Crepeau, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, passed away in the presence of her family, Tuesday, November 2, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Eugene Crepeau, July 26, 1999; and three grandchildren. She is survived by nine daughters, Adine Crepeau of Colorado Springs, CO, Cathy Schuck (Jim) of Dayton, OH, Carol Sanchez (Michael) of Albuquerque, Jeanette Wayne (Richard) of Albuquerque, Mary Lusk (Sam) of Irving, TX, Cecelia Johnston (Ken) of Colorado Springs, CO, Elaine Bryan (Dave) of Albuquerque, Renee Kiczek (Stan) of East Ampton, NJ, Diane Hendrix (Martin) of Colorado Springs, CO; three sons, Paul Crepeau (Lorie) of Mobile, AL, Michael Crepeau (Lisa) of Albuquerque, and Joseph Crepeau (Jennifer) of Albuquerque; one brother, Harold Sievers of San Antonio, TX; 34 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was cherished and will be remembered by all. And because of her tireless love and caring."There was always room for one more." Dixon -- Robert B."Bob" Dixon Sr., 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died peacefully at home Saturday afternoon, October 30, 1999, of heart failure. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Alice Dixon; and brothers, Ralph A. and Merl Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty; sons, Robert B. Jr. and wife, Kathy, Gary S. and Michael O., all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn and Robert B. III; brothers, Ronald O. and wife, Jeanne of Arizona and Gene F. and wife, Betty of Albuquerque. Bob was employed by PNM as a lineman for 20 years. He was a member of IBEW, Local 611 for 50 years. Since late 1970, he and Betty owned and operated a mobile home park. Gunderson -- Edythe I. Gunderson, 86, a resident of Albuquerque for 22 years, died Tuesday, November 2, 1999. She is survived by her son, Vernon Dale Gunderson of San Diego, CA; daughters, Shirley Alley of Albuquerque and Kathy Tidy of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Arlene Childs of Philipsburg, KS; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, John and Alda Breer of Albuquerque. Hughes -- John Henry Hughes, Jr. age 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died November 1, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Allyn Hughes and her daughter, Shonee Lynn Hughes of Albuquerque, two sons, John Richmond Hughes and wife, Stella Sue of Witchita Falls, TX and their children, Billy White, Tracee Joy Kennedy and husband, Shawn, Timothy Joseph Hughes and Cortnee Joy Kennedy, son, William Hughes, and wife, Penny, their children, Nichole Leigh Hughes, Casey Elizabeth Hughes and Ammaretta Constebelle Hughes all of Deep Creek, MD, E.J. Kasten -- Norman Grany Kasten Jr. 1962 - 1999Mr. Norman G. Kasten Jr. died Tuesday after a long illness. He was born February 25, 1962 in Tucson, Arizona. In October 1989 he married Angela Gilmore and they moved to New Mexico in 1992. Mr. Kasten has been a resident of Los Lunas since 1995 and was employed as sales manager at Enchantment Tire Company. He took care of his family and loved being in the woods logging. Norman G. Kasten Jr. is survived by his wife, Angela Kasten of the family home in Los Lunas; children, Tara LaReigh Kasten, Mystery Norelle Kasten, Amber Nicole Mullen, Amanda Elizabeth Mullen and Bryan Christopher Mullen; father, Norman G. Kasten of Showlo, AZ; sisters, Sharon McNeil of Showlo, Judy Thompson and her husband, Joe of Madison, SD. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Kasten in 1995. Funeral services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hwy 314 and James St. in Los Lunas with Bishop Tim Jones officiating. Martinez -- Fred G. Martinez, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Saturday, October 30, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Rael Martinez of Albuquerque; daughters, Virginia M. Woodward and husband, Grant of Dana Point, CA and Julianne M. Leighty and husband, Michael of Ft. Worth, TX; sons, Ronald F. Martinez and wife, Suzy of Phoenix, AZ and Eugene G. Martinez and wife, Anita of Minneaopolis, MN; grandsons, Brett Woodward and Ryan Woodward, both of Dana Point, CA; and 2 granddaughters, Tamara Leighty and Megan Leighty, both of Ft. Pacheco -- Mr. Florencio C. Pacheco, 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 2, 1999. Mr. Pacheco is survived by two daughters, Lupe Lucero and husband, Richard, Dina Chavez and husband, Nash; three sons, Eddie Pacheco, Ramon Pacheco, Florencio Pacheco and wife, April; seven grandchildren, Darlene, Anthony, Delilah, Gabriella, Andrea, Amanda and Carlos; one great-granddaughter, Mekela; two sisters, Albina Gonzales and husband, Matias and Rumalda Romero and husband, Max; two brothers, Leo Pacheco and wife, Gloria and Modesto Pacheco and Stephanie; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Pacheco was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita in July of 1999. Mr. Pacheco was a member of the Catholic Church and Veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in the Korean Conflict. Powell -- James I. Powell, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 82 years, passed away quietly Monday, November 1, 1999. Jim served in the US Navy during WWII as a Chief Electricians Mate. He owned J.I. Powell Company, Electrical Contractor, for over 30 years before retiring in 1979. Jim loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He dearly loved and missed his late wife,"Bert". Jim and Bertha were happily married for 42 years before she passed away in 1992. Sanchez -- Carlos Raul Sanchez, 21, of Arroyo Seco, passed away unexpectedly October 29, 1999 in Thailand. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Loraine Sanchez; and brother, Raul T. Sanchez. Schoonover -- Donald Ray Schoonover II died on November 2, after along illness. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Donald R. Schoonover of Punta Gorda, FL; and sister, Susan B. Appleby of Tewksbury, MA. A resident of Albuquerque since 1979, graduated from Kents Hill School in Maine, 1962; attended and graduated from the following schools, Babson Institute, Boston University, UNM, College of Santa Fe, Community College of Santa Fe, and U of Texas, Arlington; several academic honors including Presidents Honor Roll, member of MENSA; last worked as a peer counselor on volunteer basis for V.A. Hospital and also performed other psychological duties. Burial will be in Morenci, MI. Cremation arrangements are being provided by Sunrise Society, 891-8200.
