Aragon -- Mrs. Irene Rose Aragon, a resident of Dana Point, CA, and formerly of Albuquerque, died Saturday at the age of 68. Mrs. Aragon was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her father, Fabricio (Fred) Garcia; mother, Lugarda Garcia; husband, Orlando Roman Aragon; son, Richard Orlando Aragon; daughter, Emily Anne Rush and husband, Doug; sisters, Elva Bonham and husband, Terrell and Betty Jean Bryant and husband, Gene; grandchildren, Karin Marie Aragon, Christopher Lee Rush and Patricia Anne Leininger; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Irene Leininger. Funeral services for Mrs. Aragon will be held on Friday at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Joel Garner at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leonard Garcia, Terrell Bonham, Tommy Perez, Raymond Sanchez, Ernest Lovato and Oscar Garcia. Visitation for Mrs. Aragon will be held on Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening by George Lucero at 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Collins -- Florence B. Collins, age 96, and a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Sunday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 1999, in the Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, with Mr. Larry Pierson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery with Daniel J. Collins, Harry E. Collins, Johnny Giere, Jimmy Collins and Don Demour serving as casket bearers. Dellinger -- Donald L. Dellinger, 48, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, September 26, 1999. He is survived by his father, Dale Dellinger; two brothers, Dennis Dellinger and wife, Susan and David Dellinger and wife, Pam, all of Albuquerque; one nephew, Daryl; and two nieces, Jenny and Renee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Dellinger. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Doyle -- Matthew J. Doyle, born August 19, 1916, died September 25, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Verna; daughter, Mary (Cross) Missakian of Los Gatos, CA; sons, Matt (Kay) of Duluth, MN, Jim of Bellingham, WA, Tim (Christine) of Los Alamos, Dan, Tom, Mike (Patricia), and Mark (Tiffany), all of Albuquerque; and his 16 beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James Doyle of Duluth, MN; and his sister, Agnes Mae Linn of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Doyle and Ann Enright; and son, Patrick Doyle. Matt earned his Juris Doctor degree at Marquette University, Milwaukee, WS; served as Special Agent FBI 1941-1945; moved to Albuquerque, September 1948; and was employed with the Intelligence and Security Division, Sandia Base; in 1952 joined OSI as a Special Agent, retired as Chief, Operations Division OSI District 17, in December 1977. Matt had been an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society. A Rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday September 28, at Fitzgerald & Sons Mortuary, 3113 Carlisle NE. Helmick -- Richard H. Helmick, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), peacefully passed away at his home in Albuquerque, September 25, 1999. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on June 13, 1921. He had recently retired in May of this year as a Property Management Supervisor for Monarch Properties. He had a passion for flying since an early age. After graduating from Glendale College, he completed the U.S. Army Air Corp Pilot School and received his wings and commission in 1943. Col. Helmick was assigned to the 8th Air Force and the infamous, bloody 100 bomb group as a B-17 Squadron Commander out of England during World War II. He led 33 missions throughout Europe, including the first daytime bombing raid on Berlin. Col. Helmick also served in the Vietnam War as Base Operations Officer of Ben Hoa Air Field in 1969, the busiest airport in the world at that time. He logged over 5000 hours of flying in a variety of military aircraft. He held an FAA commercial pilot license. His military decorations include the following partial list, the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Air Medal with four Bronze and two Silver Oak Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Airforce Commendation Medal, Vietnam Medal of Honor, Air Force Presidential Citation and many others. Col. Helmick had assignments at the Pentagon, Alaska, California, Germany, Alabama, and Albuquerque. He most recently was Chief of Joint Personnel for Sandia Base until he retired from the Air Force in 1970. Col. Helmick is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Rick Helmick and wife, Patricia, their sons, Jason and Brett, George Helmick, Diane Sanchez and husband, Rick, and their daughters, Charla, Christa and son, Alex, Rob Helmick and wife, Teri and their son, Ryan, Tim Helmick and wife, Christine and Dwight Helmick and wife, Brenda and their sons, Dakota, Dalton and Dylan; brother-in-law, John Mooney and wife, Marie of Sacramento, CA; nephew, Randy Singh of Alamogordo; niece, Jennifer Richards of Sacramento, CA; and his faithful dog companion, Roland. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Paul Baca reciting. Services will be held Thursday, 11:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Father Paul Baca officiating. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Lock -- Kelly Eugene Lock"Kel", 36, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Sunday, September 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Terri Lock of Tome; children, Greg Lock of Tome, Stephanie Lock of Tome and husband, Timothy Stange of Ft. Bening, and Andy Andrews of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Granville E. Lock in December of 1998. He is survived by his parents, Carol and Paul Schultz of Albuquerque; sister, Kim Singer; brothers, Kory Lock, David Schultz and Brandon Schultz, all of Albuquerque; sister, Barbara Jamison; brother, Franklin Lock, both of Silver City; sister, Debra Schultz of Albuquerque; aunts, Shirley Young of Mancos, CO, Zolane Green of Saratoga, WY and Dillon Lock Stone of Santa Clara, NM; nephews, Derrick Adams of Denver, CO and Justin DiGregorio of Albuquerque; niece, Victoria Schultz of Silver City; nephews, Christopher Schultz and Joshua Schultz, both of Albuquerque; and numerous cousins. Kelly was a Precision Machinist at Sun Country Industries for 17 years. Munsey -- Cone J. Munsey, Ed. D., 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Sunday, September 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth S. Munsey of the family home; sons, James Munsey and wife, Pamela of Seattle, WA and Thomas Munsey and wife, Christine of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica and Connor Munsey; sister-in-law, Juanita Munsey of Alamogordo; and sisters, Carlen Butler of Fremont, CA and Polly Best and husband, Delman of Plattsmouth, NE. He was preceded in death by his brother, A.B. Munsey. Dr. Munsey served in the US Army in the Pacific Theatre with the New Mexico 200th (CAAA), and was on the Bataan Death March, and a Japanese prisoner of war for 3 1/2 years. He attended Eastern New Mexico Junior College from 1938 to 1940. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of NM in 1949. Dr. Munsey received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1966. He worked with public schools in several New Mexico towns for a number of years. Dr. Munsey was the director of mental health and retardation for the State of Wyoming from 1966 to 1977. He served as Executive Vice President of Rehabilitation Enterprises of Northern Wyoming from 1977 to 1979. After retiring in 1980, he returned to Albuquerque. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NW, with The Rev. Dr. Paul Debenport and The Rev. Myron White officiating. Interment of cremains will take place Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pfieffer -- Florencio S. Pfieffer passed away Friday, September 24, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Pfieffer; two sons, Florencio Pfieffer Jr. and girlfriend, April Gonzales and Joshua Pfieffer; one daughter, Virginia Pfieffer and boyfriend, Frank Alia; his mother, Leandra Acevez and husband, Manuel; and three brothers, John Pfieffer and wife, Carla, Thomas Martinez and Richard Pfieffer; and one sister, Leandra Mora and husband, Richard. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Alyssa Pfieffer; one grandson on the way; and numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. Rosary will be Tuesday, September 28, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at St. Edwin Church and Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Saiz -- Mrs. Senaida L. Saiz (Sadie), age 84, passed away September 28, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Saiz; and her daughter, Antonia Saiz. She is survived by one daughter, Rayna Lucero and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; three sons, Orlando Saiz and wife, Lola of Albuquerque, Elex Saiz of Albuquerque, and Leroy Saiz and wife, Patti of Amarillo, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Senaida had a flair for life and a sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening and took particular pride of the roses the grew. A lifelong resident of Alameda, she was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where she participated in the Altar Rosary Society. She retired as Head Baker from Taylor Middle School in 1986 after 18 years of dedicated service. She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed, but dearly remembered by her family and friends. Visitations will be Thursday afternoon, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
