Lane -- Rebecca Ann Lane September 23, 1935 - July 28, 1999 Today is your birthday, yesterday was mine. You were not the mother of my youth but you were the mother of my birth. We were only reunited for a short time and I am thankful for the time God let us share. I know both our lives were greatly enriched with the time we had. For 26 years you had an emptiness in your heart and every year on my birthday your pain was worse and you would ask,"Where is she? How is she?" and you would cry. And each year on that same day my mom would tell me how much you loved me, while inside she was feeling your pain because she loved me so much. Today on your birthday I will feel the pain you felt for so many years. I will ask why did this have to happen? My mom will comfort me as she feels my pain and as I lay flowers on your grave I will wipe a tear of sadness and at the same time wipe a tear of joy to know you rest in peace with a full heart knowing where I am and that I have wonderful parents. Happy Birthday Birth Mother. We Miss You.
