Anderson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, John Carman Palumbo of Los Angeles, California; one niece, Gina Palumbo of California. She was a member of Queen of Heaven and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico for 25 years. Flickinger -- Margaret L. Flickinger, born October 11, 1907 in Duncannon, PA, died Monday, September 6, 1999, at the age of 91 at La Vida Llena Retirement Community. She is survived by her sister, Alice Stahl and husband, Ken of Albuquerque; brothers, Joe Flickinger and wife, Mary Brent of Elizabeth City, NC and Quentin Flickinger and wife, Ruth of Chesapeake, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She attended Shepherd College and Moravia College and graduated from the University of Virginia and the College of William and Mary. For many years she was a Home Service Counselor for the Southern Division of the Potomac Edison Company. Before coming to Albuquerque in 1986, she lived at Capon Lake, WV. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Huguenot Society, and several nature and professional organizations. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at La Vida Llena Retirement Center, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, with Rev. Jonathon Holmer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Norton Scrimshire. Holmes -- Shane C. Holmes, 41, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, September 7, 1999. he is survived by his daughter, Celina Gingrich and husband, Ryon; son, Casey Holmes; granddaughter, Rayona; and brothers, Steve Holmes and Sam Holmes, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shary and Jan Holmes. Mr. Holmes served in the U.S. Army. He excelled as a mechanic, working on all types of motor vehicles. Mr. Holmes enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and camping. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast. Services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd, Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Col. Lemuel M. Boyles, U.S.A.F. Ret. officiating. Jensen -- Sandra Minces Jensen of Albuquerque passed away September 8, 1999. She was born September 11, 1941 to Milton W. Minces and Kathryn Fishback Minces. She is survived by her husband, James A. Jensen of 37 years; son, Jay Jensen of Albuquerque; daughter, Kelly Fekishazy and husband, Bobby Fekishazy with granddaughter, Megan Fekishazy of Houston; son, Eric Jensen with grandson, Matthew Jensen and Sylvia Gilson of Albuquerque; brother, Mike W. Minces of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Joan Sheppard and husband, Don of Anchorage, Alaska. Several nieces and nephews and cousins and many friends. Sandra worked at the Maternity & Infant Care Program for 22 years. She also enjoyed working with the retarded citizens of Albuquerque. We will always remember Sandra's smile. Lehmann Pellettier -- Charlotte Holley Lehmann Pellettier, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Thursday, September 9, 1999, at the Valley Norte Caring Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harold T. Lehmann in 1949; son, David H. Lehmann in 1964; and second husband, Joseph A. Pellettier in 1989. She is survived by her son, Richard B. Lehmann, Ph.D of Ojo Caliente, NM; and sister, Catherine Aufil. Charlotte was born in 1904 in Stigler, OK. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and was a dedicated teacher first in Magdalena, NM, and later for many years at Manzano Day School in Albuquerque. Graveside services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Martinez -- Francisco (Frank) Martinez, a resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully at home, on Wednesday, September 8, 1999. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He retired from the VA Hospital in 1990 after 30 years of service. He was in the Army stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, Special Forces and a Green Beret. He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Martinez and brother, Fidel C. Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Aniceta Martinez; five brothers; Rudolfo Martinez, Rufino C. Martinez and wife, Maria, Lewis Martinez and wife, Patsy, Christopher Martinez and wife, Carol and Julius Martinez; five sisters, Mary Louis, Melinda, Mary Jane, Linda and Grace Martinez; and also survived by a very special and dear family, Lena, Ward, Jolene, Jerry, Jeremy and Monique Peralta; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and friends. Frank was a wonderful son and brother that touched all of our lives with his happy and positive aspect of life. He was a very caring person to all. We will love him forever and miss him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Interment to follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Schlick -- Monica N. Schlick, 78, died September 5, 1999, at home, after a long battle with kidney disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Schlick; son, Albert, both of whom she will be joining at Arlington National Cemetery, VA; and granddaughter, Mariah Stockdale. Monica is survived by her son, John J. Schlick and wife, Stephanie, of Washington, D.C. and daughter Monica Stockdale and husband, Grant; grandchildren, Andrea (13) and Ian (10), with whom she resided during the last few years. She is also survived by her sister, Mary R. Northrop, of Richmond, VA. Monica moved to Albuquerque 16 years ago following retirement from National Credit Union Administration, where she had been a Financial Examiner. Until her illness progressed, Monica was an active member of Mensa, various Knitting guilds, and the St. John's Thrift Shop. She was a great enthusiast and supporter of the performing arts. Additionally, she had been active in literacy programs, and tutoring, and other volunteer activities at her grandchildren's schools. Monica was a special woman, with the amazing ability to encourage others her entire life. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, 318 Silver SW, 4th and Silver, Monday, September 13, 1999 at 2:00 p.m., Officiated by Canon R. McIntyre. A reception will follow at the Cathedral, Anna Kaseman Hall.

Tafoya -- Tommy Tafoya July 22, 1940 - September 11, 1992Today it is 7 years that God took you to a better place. You have a new grandson, his name is Gerald Paul, he is now 9 months old, he gave his mom a hard time, he was a month early. Looks just like his daddy. Tomas broke his leg in June but is well on his way to a full recovery. Scared the heck out of us. Your granddaughter is a little chatter box, talks a mile a minute. We will be having a family reunion of sorts Aunt Mercy's grandson Fred is getting married September 18th. Tilton -- Margaret Johnson Tilton, 77, a resident of Sandia Park for 51 years, passed away on September 9, 1999, at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Billy; adoring daughters; Mary Elizabeth Tilton, Malinda Tilton Dempsey and husband, Frank Dempsey; grandchildren; Kirk Grubbs, Matthew Grubbs, Christopher Dempsey, Aaron Dempsey, Dacia Dempsey and Cory Dempsey all of Sandia Park; and great granddaughter, Alyssia Seidel of Albuquerque. She also leaves her sister and best friend, Charlotte Toulouse and husband, James Toulouse; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Blanche Tilton; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her human family she leaves Geri, Lucky, Morris, Bandit, Garfield and Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Charlotte Smith Johnson; her son, Corwin Tilton; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Olgilvie; and her brother, John Johnson. Margie was born in Newton, Kansas, and came to New Mexico after graduating from Topeka High School. She moved to the mountains as a young bride where she and Billy ran Tiltons Store and the US Post Office for 30 years. She raised a family, cared for a community and served hundreds of sandwiches and gallons of coffee to those fighting forest fires through the years. Margie loved music with a special fondness for opera and hymns. No stray dog or cat went homeless or hungry anywhere near Margie and Billy and this love for all God's creatures was passed on to her daughters and grandchildren. Although we take joy in her life, a huge hole is now left in the lives of her loving family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated with no services. She requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 5810 Lomas NE, 87110, The American Diabetic Assn., 525 San Pedro NE, 87108 or the Animal Humane Assn. of New Mexico, 615 Virginia ST. SE, 87108.
