Maestas -- Max Maestas (Today is your Birthday) If I had only known it was the last time I would hear your voice. I'd have kept you safe at home like a life line to my heart. If I had known, I'd never hear your voice again, I'd have memorized each thing you ever said and on lonely nights I could think of them once more. I've kept your words alive inside my head. If I had known it was my last night by your side, I've have prayed a miracle would stop the dawn. You winked at me in intensive care and I looked into your eyes and made sure you knew my love for you goes on and on. If I had only known the love I would have shown, if I had only known you were the treasure in my hand. You were the one who always stood beside me. So unaware I foolishly believed that you would always be there, but then I left for some rest and came back and held you close for a second and you slipped away from me forever. I am everything I am because you loved me. I miss you and love you more every day. I Love You. Your wife, Dora

Vigil -- DAVID MARTIN VIGIL June 3, 1969 - August 28, 1993When I was finally able to dream of you, even in my dreams, I knew that I hadn't seen you in such a long time. I remember asking you where you had been because it had been so long since I had spoken with you-and then I woke up. When you do come to me in my sleep, I try to stay in that state so I can be with you as long as possible. I miss you so much, son. The taking of your life was so senseless. You had such a love of life. Visit me, David, visit me as I sleep.Love, Mom
