Chavez -- David Lee Chavez passed away Tuesday, March 30, 1999 in Albuquerque. David is survived by his father, Mariano Lucero; and his brothers and sisters, Richard and wife, Bonnie, Rosemarie and husband, Charles, Dorothy and husband, Pete, Mary Ann and husband, George, Virginia and husband, Anastacio, Nabor and wife, Lucille, Isabel and husband, Manuel, Michael and wife, Molly, George and wife, Diana and Joseph. David was preceded in death by his mother, Connie. Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at San Jose De Los Duranes Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 5, 1999 at the church. Pallbearers will be Charles, John, Jennifer, Michael, Thomas and Steven Lucero. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Burial arrangements are being provided by Metropolitan Direct Burial and Cremation Center, Inc., 601 Mountain Rd. NW, 766-9400.

Dunphy -- Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Dunphy will be held on Monday at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Holy Ghost Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd. Hand -- Evelyn Elizabeth Coulter Hand, 81, passed away Thursday, April 1, 1999. She is survived by her three children, William J. Hand III and wife, Jackie, Judith Lynn (Hand) Morgan and the late, Dale Morgan and Michael Robert Hand, all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Vivian Price of Westland Assisted Living in Albuquerque and Ruth C. Stith of Tucumcari; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Hand Jr. in 1983. Mrs. Hand was born in Quay County, NM on April 24, 1917. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1937. Mrs. Hand was employed by the Albuquerque Public Schools for 20 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Shriner's Widows Club. Mrs. Hand requested that in lieu of funeral or memorial services, family and friends gather for a celebration of her life at her family residence, Saturday, April 10, 1999, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Hospice Homecare, c/o Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Hill -- Ernest J. Hill, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. He is survived by his sisters, Myrtle Thedens, Ruth Kreis and Maxine Danas, all of Illinois; brother, Vernon Hill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline in 1991. Mr. Hill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 1999, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry A. Wright and Pastor Melinda J. Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Mcnaul -- Cleo McNaul, 90, died April 1, 1999 at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Odessa, Texas, but had recently relocated to Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughters, Martha McNaul and husband, Doug Cutler of Albuquerque, Sally Gross and husband, Glenn of Kingwood, TX, Anna Martinez and husband, Larry of Albany, CA; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Miller -- Tyler Miller, 5, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 1, 1999. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Darlene Miller of the family home; sister, Paige Miller; grandmothers, Janet Carpenter and Geraldine Garduno; grandparents, Jesus and Pita Garcia; cousins, Noah, Madeline and Courtney; aunts and uncles, Walter and Melissa Garcia, Melissa and Jean-Pierre Malbrough, Wendy and Darwin Klein, James and Amy Garcia; aunt, Loretta Miller; uncle, Robert Pineda; great-grandmother, Alice Garduno; and great-grandfathers, Merlin Carpenter and Dwight Miller. Nicholson -- Gloria Nicholson, 77, passed away at her home on Wednesday morning, March 31, 1999. Gloria was born in Clovis, NM, March 15, 1922, and at the age of three months, came to Albuquerque where she grew up and raised her family. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. A Veteran, Gloria served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Nicholson, on August 25, 1969; and also by her brother, Thomas Berry. Survivors include her children, Richard Nicholson and Karen Savage and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Krista, Nathan and Katrina Savage, all of Albuquerque; her sister, Glenda Crevenna and husband, Theo of Santa Fe; and other family members and friends. Private graveside services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where Gloria will be interred with her husband, Howard. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Lung Association, 216 Truman NE 87108, or to Casa Angelica, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW 87105. Reynolds -- Myrna Reynolds, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Janice LaGrone and husband, James of San Diego, CA, Barbara Reynolds of Corrales, Debbie Reynolds of Albuquerque and Beverly (Pip) Bernard and husband, Mike of Sedillo, NM; son, Charles Reynolds and wife, Carolynne of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters, Kari and Lori; grandsons, Rob and Tim; great-grandson, Chad; and sister, Anita Tonkinson of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bevo Reynolds; sister, Elaine Flanagan; and grandson, Chad Reynolds. Mrs. Reynolds, a retired registered nurse, was born in Remsen, IA. The fat lady has sung. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Rueben J. Barela reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE, with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Sponseller -- Adin Sponseller Jr., age 77, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999. Adin was born October 2, 1921 in Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his daughters, Sally Garner, Terry Myrick and Connie Fish; his son, Adin Sponseller III; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His cremains are to be scattered in the South Pacific.
