Baca -- Andrea O. Baca, 82, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Herman Baca of Albuquerque; sons, Lorenzo Baca and wife, Connie of Belen, NM, Joseph Baca and wife, Josie of Rio Rancho, Raymond R. Baca and wife, Leah of New Delhi, India, Michael S. Baca of Albuquerque, Anthony Baca and wife, Cecilia of Belen, and Jude L. Baca and wife, Susan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Valerie, Joseph Jr., Elizabeth, Laura, Juanita, Michelle, Angela, Michael, and Adam; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Juan Orona and wife, Tita of El Cerro, NM and Frank Orona of Rio Rancho; sister-in-law, Mellie Orona; brother-in-law, Macedonio Baca; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jude L. Baca Jr.; granddaughter, Melissa A. Baca; sisters, Refugia (Cuca) Silva and Angelina (Angie) Baca; brother, Jose Orona; and parents, Guillermo and Margarita Orona. Mrs. Baca received her education at the University of New Mexico, and taught until her first son was born. She was a girl's basketball coach and loved the Lobo basketball teams. She served as president of the P.T.A., where she had been a keynote speaker to the National P.T.A. Convention. She was also an expert in antiques. She was proud of her six sons, and their many accomplishments. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and was loved by many. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 21, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Joseph and Josie Baca reciting. Booth -- Jim Mann Booth, a WWII veteran and for the past 30 years, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away at 5:45 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 1999, at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wauneita; by all of his children, James L. Booth and wife, Donna of Mesa, AZ, Ron A. Booth of Bosque Farms, David R. Booth of Albuquerque, and Kenneth D. Booth of Bosque Farms; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Booth was born in Oenaville, Bell County, TX on October 10, 1918. His family moved to the plains of Texas, where he grew up around Plainview, TX. Mr. Booth was inducted into the U.S. Army on February 26, 1942 and was honorably discharged as Sgt. Jim M. Booth on October 29, 1945. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Anchor Baptist Church, 3551 Highway 47, Los Lunas, with Pastor Jerry Dye officiating. Butler -- Harland Butler, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 14, 1999. He retired after 21 years, one month and 27 days, from the United States Air Force, in January, 1968. He also worked as a warehouse supervisor at Rust Tractor and retired in 1989. Mr. Butler was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, May 4, 1927. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores. He is survived by his son, Bruce and wife, Karen of Southfield, MI; three grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. After cremation by Sunrise Society, Mr. Butler will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Dahl -- Hubert Jens Dahl born July 1, 1936, died February 18, 1999. He lived in Canon, NM for several years and had made his home in Payson, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dahl of Payson, AZ; two sons, Hubert Glen and wife, Marilyn, William and wife, Pam of Jemez Springs; two daughters, Sissy Griego and husband, Tom of Canon, NM, Joy Fierro and husband Luis of Albuquerque; three stepdaughters, Robbie Clark and Jackie Conway of NM and Gerrie Harwell and husband, Roger of Arizona; two brothers, Michael Dahl of Arizona, Rue Forest Galyean of Bixbie,OK; four sisters, Joy Panter of TX, Audrey Freelove of Farmington, NM, Gunda Sanders of TX and Eileen Vigil of Canon, NM; eleven grandchildren and many, many friends. He has been cremated in AZ and graveside services will be in Jemez Springs, NM at a later date. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jens Dahl, his mother, Cleora Galyean, father, Glen Dahl, brother, Bill Dahl.

Deme -- John Deme, born in New York in 1914, married in Massachusetts to Hazel Reilly in 1937, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 61 years; sons, J. Howard Deme and wife, Carol Lynn and Alan Deme; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, all residents of Albuquerque. John was educated in primary schools in Connecticut. He attended Newark College of Engineering and City College in New York, taking special courses allied to communications. He received private tutelage from Professor Howard B. Shultz at Yale. John's chosen lifelong career in broadcasting led to operating, managing and owning radio stations throughout several states on the east coast. He worked in close co-operation with Major Armstrong, pioneering FM radio. In the early days of television, John worked at the Allen B. DuMont TV Station WABD and CBS Labs in New York. In 1953, he received the B'nai B'rith Outstanding American Citizenship Award. In 1954, he received the American Legion Distinguished Service Award. He served as President of the Norwich Exchange Club in 1953, he lectured a ten-week course on radio and television for Willimantic State Teachers College. From 1958-1963, John established and operated WINF Radio in Manchester, CT. The opportunity to own a TV station motivated him to move with his family to Carlsbad, NM, where he purchased and operated KAVE TV, Channel 6 from 1963-1966. Thirty-one years ago, again a pioneer, John launched KZIA AM/FM, giving Albuquerque its first radio station with an all talk format, one of only three in the country at that time, a leader in its day. Cremation has taken place and a reception will be held Saturday, February 20, 1999, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.

Greene -- Hazel Greene, 92, of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 1999 in Albuquerque. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in South Park Cemetery, Roswell, NM. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Wheeler of Roswell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth, who died last month on the 22nd of January; and her four brothers. She was a graduate of UNM and a member of the Presbyterian faith. Greene -- Kenneth Greene, 90, of Albuquerque, passed away on January 26 in Albuquerque. Graveside services were held on the 26th of January in South Park Cemetery, Roswell, NM. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Hazel; and a brother; a sister; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Greene had an extensive engineering career. He worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for many years, retiring in 1973. He and his late wife, Hazel, who passed away on Wednesday had traveled extensively throughout the world. Hoover -- Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John J. Hoover, 69, passed into eternal life and into the arms of Jesus Christ on February 17, 1999. John had been a resident of the Albuquerque and Bosque Farms area for over 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Oleta of 48 years. Also four children, Lisa Pruitt and her husband, Tim, Sheila Hoover, Darryl Hoover and Pam Puryear and her husband, Rich. John leaves behind his granddaughter, Tammy Brewer and her husband, Phillip; and grandson, Johnathan Pruitt. Mr. Hoover is survived by nine brothers and sisters; three step-brothers and sisters; and many friends. He had retired from the Albuquerque Underground Co., where he worked as a construction superintendent. Sisneros -- Venessa Sisneros, age 18, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday in Texas following an auto accident. Smith -- William Thomas Smith passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edna Louise Smith; son, Geoffrey Smith and his wife, Barbara; daughter, Laura Smith; grandchildren, Allison, Sara and Trevor Wolfe. Other friends and family, Walter Antonuk and wife, Bonnie, Deborah Wearn, Tracie Antonuk, Betsey, Marty and Andrew Chavez, Pam Hargrove, Charles Elliott, and many others in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Scotland. Bill was born in Bathgate, Scotland. He was the youngest of eight children of Thomas and Helen Smith. He immigrated to Detroit in 1929. He worked for Chrysler Corporation for 35 years and became the comptroller for Dodge Main. Cremation will take place. Trujillo -- Breanna Angelina Trujillo, 2, beloved daughter and sister, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1999. She was born August 2, 1996 in Albuquerque. Trujillo -- Zeckiel Juan Trujillo, 68, beloved and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 17, 1999. He was born March 13, 1930 in Grenville, NM; a veteran in the United States Army, and a member of Victory Love Fellowship Church. Mr. Trujillo was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Eusvia Trujillo.
