Adwell -- J. Tom Adwell, 75, a retired Albuquerque Businessman, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, August 3, 1998. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Dee Adwell of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Alice Pilon-Skinner, Ruby Pearce, and Carolyn Pilon, all of Albuquerque, and Helen Pilon of Alhambra, CA; brothers-in-law, Ray Pilon, Leo Pilon, and Harold Pearce Jr., all of Albuquerque; nieces, Valarie Pearce, Carol A. Higdon, Sharon Breech, Jonnie Pearce, and Shelly Breech, all of Albuquerque, and Linda Pilon of Boca Raton, FL; nephews, Steven Michael, Joshua Maddox, James A. Maddox II, Harold Pearce III, Lyle Pilon, Steve Skinner, Ryan and Chris Higdon, all of Albuquerque, David Nuckols of Moriarty, Len Pilon of Holland, MI, and James Pilon of Lake View, CA. Special remembrances are Dr. Russell Schultz, Bill Odins, Michael DeVenzio, Shiv Dass, John Elliott, Eric Bell, Father Charles Brown, Colleen Maloof, Alvin West, John McMahon, Tom Schmitt III, Edward Gabbel, Wayne Kelley, Charles Oliver, Earl Harris, Frank Lerner, David and Willie Chang, and Ken Burris. Mr. Adwell was born in Itasca, TX in 1922. He came to Albuquerque with his family in 1930. Mr. Adwell attended the old Armijo Grade School on Isleta Blvd., and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1940. While attending high school, he worked as an usher at the Kimo Theatre. Soon after graduation, Mr. Adwell went to work at Electric Supply Co. He stayed there for 22 years, leaving in 1960 to become Vice-President and Managing Officer at Sandia Savings & Loan. From January 1942 to March 1945, Mr. Adwell served in the Army Air Force, and was stationed at Kirtland Field, Peterson Field in Colorado Springs, CO, as well as the 8th Air Force in Okinawa. Mr. Adwell was also a Vice-President at Security Federal Savings & Loan for a short time before moving on to work as a traveling Auditor for Bank of America, Finance America Division, until he found it necessary to quit and help manage and operate The Empress Shop together with his wife, Dee. They sold The Empress Shop and retired in 1980. After recovering from strokes, Mr. Adwell took a retirement job with E.F. Hutton as Administrative Assistant to Bill Cates. Mr. Adwell was a Life Member of the Elks Club. He was also a member of Risen Savior Catholic Church on Wyoming Blvd. Mr. Adwell was the last of his family, having been preceded in death by his father, Jesse; his mother, Mary Tom in 1958; his oldest sister, Nola Konkel in 1988; his sister, Alma Michael in 1991; and his brother, Audie, also in 1991, in Oklahoma City, OK. Private services will be held with the family's longtime friend and priest, Fr. Paul Baca, officiating. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Apt -- Jean Morris Apt, a resident of Albuquerque since 1990, passed away Saturday, August 1, 1998, following a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 10, 1926. She met and married Sanford Apt in June 1951, and shortly after they moved to the town of Plainview on New York's Long Island. She survived a serious bout with polio in the mid 1950s and went on to raise four children. She resided in Plainview until 1990, when she and her husband moved to Albuquerque. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, her genuine respect and concern for others, and her gift for listening. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Sanford Apt of Albuquerque; four children, Barbara Apt of Ithaca, NY, Bill Apt and his wife, Lori of Albuquerque, John Apt and his wife, Patricia of Albuquerque, Janet Rapisarda and her husband, Jeff of Plainview, NY; and 11 grandchildren, Emily, Jennie, Selina, Miriam and Laura Markes of Ithaca, NY, John Katie and Thomas Apt of Albuquerque, and Michael, Jason and Anthony Rapisarda of Plainview, NY. Barnes -- Lisa Barnes-McKinley, 34, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away August 4, 1998. She was a member of the Injured/Abandoned Animal Rescue Association of Colorado. She is survived by her daughters, Kristen Nicole Lockwood and Mikaela Rel McKinley of Albuquerque; her parents, Lowell and Kathleen Barnes of Albuquerque; sister, Amii Donahue-Ramirez of Albuquerque; and grandfather, Boyd Watkins of Marion, IL. Bermudez -- Guadalupe"Lupe" Bermudez, 52, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on August 4, 1998. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Lupe was a well-known area barber for many years, recently working at Phillip's Barber Shop in Bosque Farms. He was preceded in death by his father, Faustino Bermudez in 1996. Lupe is survived by his two children, Evelyn and Marcos Bermudez; and his only grandchild, Desi, all of Virginia; his mother, Manuela Bermudez of the family home in Los Lunas; his brother, Joe A. and his wife, Dora; his sister, Maria Elena Martinez, all of Los Lunas. Lupe is also survived by his many loving uncles and aunts of Tahoka, TX, and also his many loving nieces, nephews and many friends. Private services were held on Wednesday, August 5, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at Romero Funeral Home Chapel with Cremation taking place immediately following services. Colliver -- Charles W."Poppy" Colliver, 61, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Sunday, August 2, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia A. Colliver; daughters, Susan Beel and husband, Brian and Cindy Freidank and husband, Roger, all of Albuquerque; son, Chip Colliver Jr. and wife, Christi of Lindale, TX; Dad, Benny Colliver of Coffeyville, KS; grandchildren, Stephanie Enrietti, Christy Beel, Megan Freidank, Rory Freidank, Katie Beel, and Caitlin Colliver; sisters, Joann Falk and husband, Jerry and Linda Colliver; brother, Dick Colliver; and many other relatives and friends. Corradini -- Frances M. Corradini, age 86, died on Sunday, July 26, 1998. She was born on April 26, 1912, the daughter of Pasqualino and Emma (Mattuecci) Sei. Frances graduated from St. Mary's Grade School and St. Mary's High School in Albuquerque, and managed the Mc Clennan's Dime Store. She was joined in marriage to Joseph G. Corradini on February 5, 1943. He was employed at Southwest Distributing Company. Frances was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Albuquerque. In recent years, due to health reasons, Frances relocated to Madison, WI to be closer to her family. She is survived by a son, Michael (Jan) Corradini; seven grandchildren, Stephen (Penelope) Corradini, Gregory Corradini, Renee Jackson, Daniel Corradini, Fletcher Jackson, Nathan Corradini, and Marshall Jackson, all of Madison; four siblings, Mary (Bob) Thomas, Amerigo (Theresa) Sei, Mary (John) Franchini, Emma (Wayne) Keesling, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph on December 26, 1983; six siblings, Aquilina Lamori, Pia Pieroni, Joseph Sei, Frank Sei, Evelyn Sanich, and Duilio Sei. A one hour visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial begining at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Hartman -- Earl (Mike) Hartman, 51, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, August 3, 1998. Mr. Hartman was a loving husband, father and friend. He was the Director of the Albuquerque Juvenile Detention Center, trying to make a difference with youth and their families. After retirement he enjoyed himself as a card dealer at Isleta Gaming Palace. He was an avid pool player, playing in numerous leagues. He enjoyed being with people and having a good time. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends. Mr. Hartman is survived by his wife, Vickie Ann Hartman of the family home; son, Michael"Shane" Hartman of Albuquerque; mother, Dorothy Acree of El Reno, OK; step-mother, Joyce Cary of Modesto, CA; brothers, Larry Hartman and wife, Eva of Redding, CA, Terry Hartman and wife, Patty of Modesto, CA, and Jerry Hartman of Texas; and his mother-in-law, Mary E. Lucero -- Mary Griego Lucero, 87, died peacefully on July 30, 1998. Born in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, she also lived in Espanola, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Isidro Lucero; and her mother, Emma Griego. Robinson -- Guy W. Robinson, 82, died Tuesday, August 4, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Edna of Los Lunas; sons, David of Los Lunas, and Kenneth and wife, Gina of Bakersfield, CA; sister, Gertrude Martindale of Sedro Valley, WA; brother, Claude Robinson of Shaftsbury, VT; granddaughters, Kara, Terri, Melanie and Ainsley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Etta Robinson; infant son, James; and brothers, Lenoir, Howard and Robert. He served 22 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1957 as LCDR; he later retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1978. He was a member of the Peralta United Methodist Church, Mesa Lodge #68 AF&AM, Legion of Honor of Ballut Abyad Shrine, and York Rite Knights Templar Commandry. He was a past Watchman of Shepherds of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 10:30 a.m., at Peralta United Methodist Church, the cremains will be interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Monday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Children's Transportation Fund, c/o Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni SE 87108; or Ambercare Hospice, 500 Oak St. Albuquerque, NM 87106. Rust -- James E. Rust, 77, died Tuesday, August 4, 1998. A loving father of two and grandfather of ten, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nila Rust; sister, Vera Lockhart of Greentown, IN; daughter, Carolyn (Rusty) Mason and husband, Jim and their children, Mona Koermer and husband, Wes of Albuquerque and Mitchell Mason of Provo, UT; son, Kenneth Rust and wife, Edi of Waxahache, TX and their children, Krista and Erika of Albuquerque, Jeremiah, Adria, Mikah, Dana, Joshua, and Ira, all of Waxahachie, TX. James was born in Howard County, IN and moved to Albuquerque in 1959, where he worked as a building contractor until his retirement in 1971. After retirement, James worked eight years as a volunteer for the Mobile Missionaries Assistance Program (MMAP), where he put his contractors knowledge to work building for worthy charitable organizations. Failing health eventually forced him into retirement again. Sanchez -- Mrs. Anna C. Sanchez, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 2, 1998 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by one daughter, Lillian Edna Vigil and husband, Ben; two sons, Gene Sanchez and wife, Shirley, and Patricio Sanchez; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Sanchez; and a daughter, Agnes. Mrs. Sanchez was a member of the Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel. She loved to crochet, giving her finished work to loved ones and friends. Stump -- Nancy C. Stump, a 45 year resident of Albuquerque, died July 25, at a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Howard T. Templeton -- Mrs. Grace Templeton, resident of Albuquerque, passed away August 2, 1998. She was born June 19, 1919 near Calumet, OK, the daughter of D.B. and Carrie VanGundy. She died Sunday, August 2, 1998 of cancer. She graduated from Southwestern State University, Weatherford, OK, with a degree in Music. She was a pianist and composer. On August 27, 1940 she married Rev. Robert M. Templeton. She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Templeton of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Erwin of Pawhuska, OK; a daughter, Najma Hakima (Nelia) of the Dominican Republic; a son, Robert of Dixon, NM; and a daughter, Jean Morris of Enumclaw, WA; and seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on August 13, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. in Central United Methodist Church at 1615 Copper NE. Weaver -- Mike Weaver, 38, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died late Tuesday, August 4, 1998, of kidney cancer. Memorial services will be held at the Pecos New Mexico home of Phil and Gayl Weaver, where Mike had been living with his mother and caregiver, Darline Weaver, for the past five months. Mike is also survived by two sisters and a number of close family and friends. Mike acquired many good friends while working at LetterPress and at SEPS of Albuquerque, then Lineaux of Denver.
