Denzler -- Mary L. Denzler, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Saturday, May 2, 1998. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, S. Russ Denzler, M.D. of Albuquerque; daughters, Patricia A. Vanderberg and husband, Dr. Richard Vanderberg of Edmonton, Canada and Mary Jo Denzler of Los Lunas, NM; god-daughter, Charlene Wardlow of Santa Rosa, CA.; son, David W.R. Denzler and wife, Caroline of Highland, MD; grandchildren, Debbie Hughes of Los Lunas, NM, John E. Hughes III of Corrales, NM, and Ian Vanderberg and wife, Rebecca of Halifax, Nova Scotia; great-grandchildren, Amber Jones and Kody Hudspeth; and family and friends. Mrs. Denzler was preceded in death by her two sisters and two brothers. She was first a homemaker and then a Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. Mrs. Denzler was a very loving wife and a wonderful mother. She was a teacher and volunteer tutor for many years in Japan as well as in the United States. Mrs. Denzler was a volunteer at Bataan Hospital and former President and lifetime member of the Bataan Auxiliary. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Central Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women, and she was a former member of Eastern Star. Dr. and Mrs. Denzler enjoyed the Friendship Force, and they were active in the Shrine Nomad Club where they were charter members. Memorial services will be held Friday, 2:00p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, with Rev. Martha A. Singleterry and Dr. Charles N. Crutchfield officiating. Goebel -- Patricia M. Goebel, 37, a resident of Durham, North Carolina, passed from this life on April 7, 1998. Born in Phoenix, AZ, Tricia graduated from St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque in 1977 and attended UNM. Employed at AKC Headquarters in Durham, at the time of her death, she was active in many causes for justice, peace and the environment; volunteered as an audio describer for stage productions to assist the visually impaired; and taught computer classes at the local Junior College. She is survived by her parents, Martin and Diana Goebel; and grandmother, Winfred Beemer of Albuquerque; brother, Dan and wife, Debbie, of Phoenix; sister, Susan Heck and husband, Jon, of Glendale, AZ; nephew, Jason Goebel; and nieces, Heather Goebel, Jennifer and Caitlin Heck. Services were held in three states including a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Bernadette's Parish, Albuquerque, and interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Phoenix. Hines Ph.D and wife, Stefani of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Jontz. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1934. Mrs. Jontz was a member of the Daughters of the Nile; member of Eastern Star; past Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel #2 and was the first State Grande Guardian of Job's Daughters in New Mexico; and past President of Pi Beta Phi Mother's Club. Parrish -- Frances Parrish, 59, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, May 1. Frances is survived by her husband of 36 years, Boyd; four daughters, Debra Allison of Albuquerque, Monica Triplett and husband, Tony of El Paso, TX, Patricia Parrish of Albuquerque, and Anita Parrish of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Priscilla Chavez and husband, Flavio, Julia Gallegos and husband, Alex, Caroline Barros and husband, Epi, Mary Trujillo, all of Albuquerque and Lucille Montoya and husband, Bob of Barstow, CA; brothers, Gillie Sedillo, David Sedillo and wife, Mae, and Solomon Sedillo; grandsons, Christopher Parrish and Marcus Allison of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Aubriana and Kaitlin Triplett of El Paso, TX; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Sanchez and wife, Melanie of Albuquerque; 28 other grandchildren; 46 great-grand children; and six great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Sanchez of Albuquerque. Vallejos -- Merejildo"Mike" Vallejos, 68, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 2, 1998. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Mike served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. and was a well known area businessman. He was owner and operated Mike and Ernest Shamrock Station in Belen, along with his brother for many years. Mike also started the very first Belen car wash. Mike was preceded in death by his very best friends, Eloy Baca and Gillie Gallegos. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Inez; three children, Melvin and his wife, Yolanda of Gallup, NM; Glenda Vallejos-Inda and her husband, Mark of Tampa, FL; and Karen Wancata and her husband, Donny of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren, Michael, Consuelo, Mark, Eric, Matthew, and Mike; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Angel, Jacob and Michael; two brothers, Ernest of Belen, and Speedy and his wife, Viola also of Belen; four sisters, Mary Baca and her husband, Julio of Bosque, NM, Louisa Silva of Belen, Angie Silva and her husband, Alex of Bosque, Marcella Gomez and her husband, Paul of Acton, CA.
